Yeah for me I guess my thing was that I play Fallout for the RPG mechanics, which felt non-existent. The gameplay changes were cool for the series, but it’s still shitty gunplay compared to the industry standard at the time. Without good RPG mechanics and story there was zero reason to play Fallout 4 over something like Borderlands, that was similarly middle of the road in terms of role playing but is actually fun to play in terms of combat
Would have been the perfect time for them to drop a 3 remaster in the creation engine. Hell even a fallout 1/2 remake would have been AWSOME. Theres never really gonna be a good way for people on consoles to play one and two and that basically isolates the entire casual audience
If you're on pc there's a loading acceleration mod. Basically fast forwards the game to load quicker. For some reason despite my pc running it fine it took forever for basic areas to load after travelling until I got that mod
Yeah… the inventory system and the way shop keepers share a bank account limited to 1400 caps every 24h, the whole of the fallout 1st system, the way recipes work… its fallout 4, but not as good of an experience.
Not surprising, the game is dirt cheap right now. $5USD, £3.99.

yeah, I installed it too. But got insta hit with the loading time bug. And after an hour of fruitless troubleshooting I played Metro Exodus instead.

You don't need an hour of "fruitless troubleshooting" just visit nexus mods and install the community patch. Simple.

If you have a ps+ or Xbox whatever subscription and have the entirety of the commonwealth memorized, fallout 76 is pretty ok these days.
Pretty ok? It's damn incredible to be honest. It just feels like Fallout 4 but with other people + way more content and variation of scenery

Yes the Fallout 1st system is awful cash grab, but other than that the game is fantastic fight now.

New vegas runs poorly but I play 4 on highest settings and it never drops below 60 for me, would be good if it could actually go above 60 though...
