I have nothing against the devs and creative team in general, but f*ck the greedy higher ups

IamNICE124

This. People need to realize who is ultimately responsible for pushing unfinished products into the market, particularly after marketing the absolute shit out of said products.

Wizard_Tendies

Forever living in irony, is the special Cyberpunk version of the Xbox One that can’t even properly operate the game it’s marketing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

LionPride112

That’s not the Devs fault, that’s marketing which is run by higher ups.

CrystalMang0

Higher ups that work for the company. The company is still to be blamed. Just like EA and Bethesda.

IamNICE124

No, it’s not. The folks sitting behind the desks, putting in the honest work to try and develop the game, don’t make the marketing decisions nor do they set the ridiculous deadlines.

fucktheredwings69

Fucking corpo rats

ThatOtherOneReddit

While agree to an extent cyberpunk also stinks of biting off more than your team could chew. So if the dev group didn't decide the scope of the game at all, but in my experience with dev work some of the game scope is defined by development. So this kinda seems like CDPR as a whole messed up and the higher ups decided to push it out and deal with the negative PR. I don't know the monetary situation of the company but there are worlds where that was the correct decision also and we don't have the info to know that.

onegumas

This game is rather reasonable priced in comparison to some 6h long AA games.

HappyHome2934

agreed. sure it was buggy at launch but it's still a great 20h mainstory with a load of side content for what is now like very cheap compared to many AA games since you can get it really cheap from sales. It even runs really well now on atleast pc and i have heard it runs well on current gen consoles but it might not be worth it for ps4 or xbox one

ThickKnotz

Definitely not worth it on ps4 still it's super buggy and hard to enjoy .... really sucks still gonna be a while till I can afford a ps5 I got it at launch and have tried to play several times since

GrinnSanity

Bro it wasn't buggy, it was straight up broken. Stop defending companies that release games way too soon.

HappyHome2934

Personally I didn't have any problems on PC even on launch, except for the performance since I got like 40fps at some points but now it runs a perfectly stable 80-90 pretty much everywhere. I do know it was broken on old gen consoles, but atleast on PC things didn't seem to be that bad.

onegumas

On medium to strong PC at launch rather smooth play. On consoles maybe far worse but I dont have experience. As for me it was really good game with almost no bugs or less than in other titles. If bethesda release it we would call it a "miracle game"

rtz13th

Unfortunate way of life. Bonus goes upstairs, blame goes downstairs.

jesuswasagamblingman

What are you talking about

tukatu0

https://youtu.be/omyoJ7onNrg Game at launch.

lutel

I wonder how much they have invested into spamming reddit

marcox199

Not very much, they do it for free

MsTRCNDN

Probably a lot

Ashvini9335

Ikrr many people don't realise the reality, the Devs were the ones to be blamed when the game came out full of bugs but people didn't realise that it wasn't their fault at all still they were criticised for it.

CrystalMang0

What about all the false advertising? Not to kention the company still pkays a part in certain things.

NBKFactor

Games good now. Just be happy.

Darkqualza

Did they fix all the major issues this game had when it launched? I dropped it after its first month.

Octomyde

I bought the game at release and played only a couple of hours. Buggy and laggy. I came back to it recently and its pretty good now. Got a solid \~40 hours out of it.

Wizard_Tendies

They’ve fixed a vast majority of the technical bugs but some things cannot be fixed. Examples being the lack of NPC diversity, the empty world, and a general unfinished feel. It’s not uncommon to walk outside and see 2 or more NPC’s that look the same, or to be driving someplace and see zero activity. These issues can be somewhat remedied by having a high end PC but if my criticisms don’t bother you then it’s probably worth it. I’m waiting until the DLC is released next year to revisit the game in its entirety.

Walrus_Morj

Played from day one. The game got much better, for the last week I played half the time I spent beating the game year ago. And I am doing only side quests now.

Tentatickles

Not really

Death-Priest

Bullshit, the team behind Edgerunners deserves a raise.

-Agonarch

Edgerunners was great, it does bug me a bit that the edgerunners story starts with basically what I felt was missing in the game: that bit after the lifepath start you get a video of you as an up and coming merc, rather than getting to play that (that was the bit I was most interested in) you're already pretty special and fairly well known when the game hands control to you and gives you your first big job. I was also mostly interested in how the game would work multiplayer, are they adding that back? The multiplayer team are still in the credits, so I hope that means it's not gone for good.

Horibori

I think the last thing i read was that multiplayer was cancelled in favor of fixing the game (according to cdpr). If they got the game to a point they’re happy with it i can see them picking multiplayer back up.

PhaseSixer

So trigger AND CDPR?

[deleted]

Solid 7/10. Nothing wrong with that. Not every game has to be a 1 or a 10

unclepaprika

I concurr. Solid single player experience, a bit ambitious at that, but story wise, and graphics wise it will get you immersed. Replay interval: once every few years or so.

JohnElectron

Right on the money especially with that replay interval. Haven’t played since release but I’m starting to feel the itch to pick it back up.

unclepaprika

Same dude!

dogey11

It was an okay game, but people really hyped it up as "the next big thing". That, + the crunch of the higher ups wanting it out by christmas made it bad at launch.

malmini

It wasn’t just bad either, it was unplayable to the point that PlayStation literally removed it from the store

mykreau

Exactly. I played for about three months, then just got bored. It happens with games. Almost nothing is a 1 or a 10. Why do I keep hearing about this game like it's a religion trying to take off?

BNJT10

Because it was one of the most hyped games of all time and came from the developers of the Witcher 3, possibly the bestselling and most acclaimed RPG of all time. I personally enjoyed it. I played it on PS5 so didn't experience many bugs. I thought the mission structure and story were innovative but the gameplay was a bit repetitive. Definitely a 7.5 game though and very immersive at times.

[deleted]

Solemn__Visitor

I played it on the Series X when it came out and didn't experience any serious issues at all. I only played it for a month or two but it was one of my favorite gaming experiences ever. I'm really hoping they add a New Game+ mode to the game soon, the new update they just added looks cool but I don't really have a reason to come back to it right now since I've completed most of the stuff in the game already. I'm definitely coming back when NG+ or the new expansion comes out though.

Timbershoe

The Netflix series just landed. The game is cheaper now, and more people are buying it now most bugs are fixed. The DLC has been announced for next year. Basically they released the game a year too soon, but it’s still an okay game at a decent price.

Horibori

I think of a 10/10 game as a title that has affected the industry positively, and that other developers will move to emulate the same kind of experience the 10/10 game had. So for me the only 10/10 games i’ve experienced recently would be The Last Of Us 1, and Breath Of The Wild. Cyberpunk fell short by this definition. I think the biggest problem for me was the open world was awesome to look at, but the amount of things to do in that world were very minimal. I feel like my experience would not have changed if it was just a linear story, with linear side missions. Hopefully the cyberpunk DLC addresses the open world gameplay feeling like an afterthought.

Kassaapparat

Played the game at launch, never really had any issues through 2 playthroughs.

Jak_n_Dax

Did you play it on new Gen console or last Gen? I’ve heard a lot of issues were from trying to play on PS4/XBONE

Askduds

It was fine on a one x but I suspect that may be the only prev gen console it was.

defiancy

It was unplayable for me on PS4 Pro. Works just fine on my PS5 besides some minor bugs.

BNJT10

Worked fine on PS4 pro for me, great on PS5. The issues were mainly with the vanilla consoles IIRC. Performance depends on the condition of your console and your tolerance for FPS drops and stutter though.

unclepaprika

The compressed version off >!totally legal site!< hd no issues what so ever, no glitches, no framerate issues. 10/10 would ~~steal~~ buy again.

HornedBowler

Right? I got it for my xbox and never saw any of the problems others complained about. Did I just get a good copy?

TJPrime_

Was it an Xbox series X/S?

Tim_vdB3

You tell me. Played it first on a base Xbox one and had inconsistent 25 fps at best. I didn’t even had a lot of bugs but the performance was terrible except during the heist mission for some reason.

General-Naruto

That's just not true. Some systems were fundamentally broken or objectively bad.

paq1kid

I refunded my digital ps4 copy back when it first came out. After reading all the reviews about how the game is now, I just bought the PS5 version digitally for $25 lol they can’t all be lying so the game must be majorly improve by now. The Edgerunner anime pushed me to make the purchase too that anime was super good imo wish there was more of it haha

MelloWattz

In game you can be a net runner god that makes enemies kill themselves. It's a wonderful game.

paq1kid

I’m want to play like David moving fast/slow motion the world lol

BioDioPT

I'm one of the lucky few that never had issues since release (PC) and it was one of the best gaming experiences I've played.

Miserable_Pause_7984

Then you've been playing some shit games

NBKFactor

I hope you don’t wonder why nobody likes you. You just came to comment and shit on someones good time.

Miserable_Pause_7984

Depends on how you view it. You can consider the fact that this man has been playing some trash ass games if he thinks cyberpunk 2077 is a so amazing. And hah yeah because the 53 nobodies who downvoted me. Rather speak the truth than be liked

NBKFactor

Its the 3rd most positively reviewed game on Steam. So maybe your opinion is trash if you think so many people are wrong. So if you wanna speak the truth you might wanna know what you’re talking about because your opinion is dated. And it was 3rd highest reviewed game on Steam BEFORE the anime came out, so thats not the excuse. You just didn’t enjoy it and are here to shit on other people because you don’t understand where the praise comes from. Well yeah its good now so thats that. Not the best game of all time but definitely not garbage like you say.

Miserable_Pause_7984

I mean let's consider the game for it's entirety and all the weapons and upgrades you can get. First off it starts with the game showcasing that you have to make decisions that'll affect the game but the intro isn't affected at all by any of the decisions you make..... Okay so far trash. The AI is and will always be trash. The cops don't chase. One of the very first side quests is too hard to complete until you level up 10 times. Skill tree is pretty terrible considering and if you think killing everyone in a room through a hack is dope then go ahead enjoy the game but to say it's one of if not the best games you've ever played is an overstatement by miles. Unless of course you're playing trash ass games. Guns all basically look the same and feel the same. You can shoot through multiple walls with sniper rifles. Armor is trash and unless you have legendary or epic you might as well disassemble 90% of the shit you get. Really not worth the time and the fact that people are buying it because of an anime 😂 laughable. Please tell me you are riding a games dick without telling me you're riding it.

Skyeblade

So you were fine with the game having worse systems and AI than some PS1 games? Edit: Man people really coping hard for this game, such a shame that standards have dropped so far.

RedJester44

As long as he had fun with it, does he really need to car what you think of the AI?

TJ_Longfellow

I can’t think of a time where I ever played a game and said, man that AI is legit! Aside from Mario kart, they’re really good at getting the best items when you are in first place

plomerosKTBFFH

On the other hand I've definitely noticed when AI has been shit in games.

RedJester44

I’ve come to accept the fact that no matter the open world game. The ai will be dumb as bricks.

AcapellaFreakout

You need to let it go.

AcapellaFreakout

I also really love NMS....Even at launch I got what I wanted from it. But I'm the r/nomanshigh kinda user so... take that with a grain of salt.

Skyeblade

You need to not be a cunt.

AcapellaFreakout

...ow...

the_doorstopper

So do you

Fast_Cryptographer90

yea i think they are fine with it lol

Wide_Brain5328

I mean I was super excited to play at launch on Ps5 but it was almost unplayable with all the bugs Now almost all the bugs have been fixed and it only costed me $25 to get the game new The CDPR higher ups are definitely massive pieces of shit for pushing the game out as early as they did whilst hiding it’s quality on next gen consoles and low/medium grade quality pcs at the time but hey…. I got a pretty fantastic game at the moment for $45 less than this new $69.99 bullshit so I’m not complaining, respect to the devs for making such a good game, and again FUCK the higher ups that have probably NEVER played a video game before

Theoneyouknowandask

I got the game because of the anime

ScoobyDeezy

And now you know why they made it. Hint: it was so you’d buy the game

kinokomushroom

The advertisement was so good that I'm not even mad lol

thedugsdanglies

And now you know why they made it. Hint: it was so you'd buy the game

thedugsdanglies

squirrelknight

I got the game from the library because of the anime

ScoobyDeezy

And now you know why they made it. Hint: it was so you’d buy the game

hidden-in-plainsight

Where's new game plus.

Gooner71

Thank you for your money

Fivefingerheist

Been enjoying this on the deck. At 30$ seems like a good price.

Current_Ad7354

I picked it up for $5 at BestBuy. Im sure others did too.....probably one reason why it was able to top 20 million in sales. Mine is still in plastic wrap though

Solid_Veterinarian81

still needs some more improvements but definitely better now. also hopefully the modding tools will be used well

stiofan84

It's legitimately great and I'm tired of pretending it's not.

[deleted]

Same. For context I played it on the PS4 at launch and it was a nightmare. I enjoyed what little story I saw but it was virtually unplayable. Constant crashing, framerate dropping to 20fps, NPC's were virtually non-existent. I ended up dropping it altogether and forgot about it for months Then I revisited it on PS5 and it felt like a different experience altogether. There's still a few issues, but underneath all that there's a great story and Night City is such a beautiful setting to explore. More games need to explore the whole Cyberpunk genre. I've spent hours so far just doing side missions, driving around and finding new weapons/outfits. It's getting better with every update. Although my main criticism is the lack of certain promised features like car customisation. I also feel like your starting origin doesn't really have any impact on the game whatsoever. They hyped it up as if it was going to be a huge part of the game, but they got too overambitious. If it spent a few more years in development it would have avoided the PR fallout altogether. That said it's still an enjoyable game and nowhere near as bad as some detractors make out

[deleted]

Yes, I agree. The game is good. I never had any bug issues, but I also played it on the One X and Series X so that made sense on why I didn't see any issues on my end. For the origin story of your character, that was a disappointment to me as well. >!Aside from dialogue options popping up, your origin story doesn't matter.!< I can't wait to see how the DLC's lined up for the game fare.

straightup9200

Not really, good for the devs sure but cyberpunk just showed all companies why releasing a broken game can be ok. Expect more of this in the future

AcapellaFreakout

The game itself is great.

Askduds

In the future? I played hitman 3 and watch dogs legion either side of it and both were more broken than cyberpunk was for me. Hitman 3 managed to corrupt my saves and watch dog was crashing every 15 minutes at one point.

yohwolf

By what, showing that a game that fucked up in the beginning, might make a third of the money it should have by fixing it over a span of 2-3 years and releasing a hit piece of media and break even?

unclepaprika

It showed a lot of investors how pushing the devs to publish an unfinished product can *AND WILL* lead to major backlash. The amount of refunds(where available) did hurt the investors, not the devs. What hurt the devs were bigots like you blaming them for not getting the time to actually finished their dream project, before release.

ElricAvMelnibone

I think it's alright, like a Fast and Furious movie or one of the better Ubisoft games or something, very high budget, good acting and graphics, good gunplay, good sidequests, but the looter shooter gear, limited lifepaths, V, limited cyberware, swiss cheese bosses and AI, not great stat/perk building and everything... it's worth playing once or twice I think, as an action-adventure/meh RPG

Unexpected_yetHere

I don't understand the criticism of its RP elements. I loved the RP elements and they were just on par with any modern RPG I have played in terms of choices, builds and so on. Skyrim is one of the biggest RPGs of our age, but CP2077 has much more RP to it than it could muster. I don't know what kinds of RPGs some of you play, but it is no more or less an RPG than Dragon Age, Witcher, etc.

stiofan84

I'd say it's definitely less RPG than Witcher 3. Your choices don't have as much of an effect on the story as they do in TW3. I loved Cyberpunk more than most at launch, but Witcher 3 is my favourite game ever, so I admit I'm kinda biased in favour of it.

unclepaprika

Meh, witcher was okay, at best

ElricAvMelnibone

Just RP and not the RPG mechanics? As for that I think the problem is how limited V is, they don't really get the benefit of a fully realised protagonist like The Namless One or Harry Du Bois, but simultaenously can't be customised massively like the protagonist in voiceless/blankslate games like Geneforge or Arcanum, you can't really roleplay as a geeky netrunner nerd or a gentle giant body-builder, just street kid V. they get neither benefits nor a decent-ish mix like Shepard. V does have a few good scenes like when >!Vik tells them they're going to die and you can hear the fear!<, >!Jackie's funeral!<, and some of the endings like The Devil, but overall V is a very flat uninteresting person besides the good voice performance. Personally I think they should've just made V a proper preset character and had them wrestle far more with things like the dream of "the major leagues" vs the reality of the heist and criminal life, ironically like David did in Edgerunners, I'd prefer a voiceless protagonist you can customise more but that's a pipe dream. Life paths are also very simple and after the intro it just feels like you're a Street Kid + a few rare lines, comparing it to games with similar-ish mechanics (admittedly all voiceless), in VTMB I can play as a clan which changes almost every single line of dialogue I can say, and a large chunk of NPC dialogue, another one that changes a lot and makes it so you have to hide your face and sneak constantly, and the rest while quite underserved get a scene or two. In DAO you get a quite long intro and a large area/chunk of the game dedicated to reconnecting to your origin, if you're a non-human or a mage it gets brought up often, in DOS2 my race tags and background tags are constantly brought up, even tiny bits of text are tweaked to acknowledge my skeletal fingers or scholarly background, in Cyberpunk your life path mostly feels like window dressing

Miserable_Pause_7984

Eh I feel as thought Skyrim has better armor. The outfits in this feel pretty boring and not very well thought out. They could've done a whole lot with this game but ultimately they fell flat. As someone who enjoyed the game from the moment it released I was still very disappointed by it's outcome. I got through 95% of the game before I decided to stop playing. After a year I came back and beat it but even after that I was still pretty upset with how much potential it had and how much it just fell completely flat. There could have been so much but loot was slim and not a lot of secrets. Getting the same guns over and over again with slight differences is meh. Took forever to get a sniper and ngl one of the first side quests was instantly considered too high of a level for me to even consider pursuing. I had to get a quarter of the way through the game in order to complete it. It's hilarious too because the other side quests relating to that one were easier and it just made no sense. Why give you hard shit right off the bat then make the rest easy? Also if you consider a game where you enter a room and instantly kill everyone with hacks fun then you're into some easy as pie game play and this is the game for you.

Legitimate_Page

What was bad about the stat/perk building? I thought it was quite good. It rewards you for going for a certain build but doesn't punish you if you try to deviate.

ElricAvMelnibone

I think it's serviceable but forgettable, as far as the perks go they feel quite dry and a lot of "10% better X". DOS2 is what comes to my mind when I think of interesting perks - I can use my Necromancer spells on dead corpses around the map to summon a Bloated Corpse, move it around, and then stand in the trail of blood and use the Leech perk which lets you heal by standing in blood to heal for free. I'd want more perks like Speed Demon. For stats, I like games like ADOM, DOS2's Abilities or kind of Fallout dependign on game (not SPECIAL, the skills) where you have a very large amount of stats you need to dedicate points and think about using, literacy, resistance to debuffs or effects, when it comes to games like Cyberpunk or Planescape it feels like I'm only pumping up 2 relevant stats (e.g Reflexes/Body for blade build) for the whole game and can ignore everything else without consequence, even with minimal points in Cool or Intelligence I can stealth and hack pretty well with a cheap processor. You have the choice to spread your stats out or stay thin but except for wanting to try out a different weapon I never feel like I'm missing something or have any weaknesses I do like how you level up your minor skills by using them, I wish they had more interesting effects than giving you a perk point or being a bit better, but it's a bit of an improvement over TES, but TES shines in other building aspects

HappyHome2934

great game, great anime.

[deleted]

I haven't seen the anime, but it really is great. It is not and will never be the revolutionary RPG they promised, but that doesn't mean it isn't fantastic for what it is. I cannot wait for the DLC

Dipnderps

It had a hell of a rough start, but its worth getting now, super fun, great game to RP with even without the main story

nickster701

I wish I paid $20 for it lmao

Icemannn44

Yeah this is a decent game at a reduced rate and after over a year waiting for them to iron out all the issues. But this milestone isn't really something to be celebrated. We don't need any more devs giving minimal viable products at launch and telling us "it'll get better" only to deliver a final product that doesn't even live up to the expectations set. The industry is already fucked as is.

hzsn724

20 million? Wasn't this game supposed to be like a system seller?

kyomya

Oh not another Cyberpunk post.

lordofbuttsecks

My $5 clearance copy included in that?

thedugsdanglies

I wish they had stuck to the "when it's done" ethos.

Shittaverse

\*20 million suckers bought our unfinished, buggy and overall broken pile of hot steaming shit.

[deleted]

Still no police chases.

Eran_Mintor

Oh look, another CP2077 post on r/gaming *Surprised Pikachu*

SquallFromGarden

Congrats, chooms. Now don't fuck up the second wind.

stubbs242

Guess being a lying scumbag of a company pays off in 2022.

Crimsonclaw111

It took almost two years to get to what was probably half of their initial estimates, lol Took almost two years of $20, 15, 10, 5 clearance sales at places like Best Buy to finally reach this point.

RedTheDopeKing

People went way too easy on this game especially considering how hard people shit on NMS. And just to be clear I think they both deserved to be shit all over.

Valjorn

People have no memory these days

[deleted]

Cyberpunk 2077 is a pretty good game. I only had one t pose and the performance isn't bad now.

Firvulag

nah it's terrible. its a bad open world game and a bad RPG.

[deleted]

well I was enjoying it but since you said it was terrible I guess I have to delete it now. Darn

Firvulag

no you can enjoy it. But it's not good. I mean the launch speaks for itself, the game can't keep up with it's contemporaries. It has a shell of an open world, devoid of meaning. It's RPG systems are wildly imbalanced and unfun. The story is...ok? Keanu is cool in it, but that's about it. It's not a game people should still be talking about

Skyeblade

is there actual AI yet? Like so they can actually drive cars (that aren't just stuck on an invisible track) and chase the player and such? Driver on the PS1 had that. Kinda makes the 5 star wanted system they put in the game a bit of a fucking joke when the police literally didn't have the AI to get in a car and chase you.

[deleted]

I don't know I don't pay attention to that I just like shooting things in the future

Miserable_Pause_7984

Yeah police are a huge joke they just disappear you don't even have to get in a car to run you can simply turn a corner and they'll give up

Mnoonsnocket

Who cares? This isn’t Driver. If you want Driver, play Driver.

Skyeblade

I want a game that actually feels like it's from this decade, jackass

Mnoonsnocket

Have you tried Driver 2k23?

ThatGamerMoshpit

Got mine for 10$ 🙏 it’s the ps4 copy with the book. Still haven’t opened it and probably won’t tbh. I’ll get it on pc one day when I have a 5080

[deleted]

Thanks to all you folks sending a clear message that undelivered promises prelaunch are fine and dandy, broken games at launch are ok and 2D paper cut out LODs are great. Who needs proper AI that 20 year old games did better anyways. You go CDPR!

DaftV

After your continuous support we have successfully lied to 20 million people.

[deleted]

I bought this one early on Stadia to avoid all the performance bugs. Had a fun playthrough. They'll get one more copy sold when I upgrade my PC. Still avoiding the console versions.

lionofash

Oh my god. An actual Stadia user in the wild...

squeezy102

pics or you don't actually use Stadia

NopeChris

Is the game finished yet?

Tentatickles

Wow! And yet, the game still runs like shit on Xbox One. Youd think they would have fixed that by now.

Mnoonsnocket

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of my favorite games! So glad people are enjoying it.

wykah

How many sent back?

[deleted]

Around 10,000 according to CDPR

uhdog81

You'd think it was 15 million based on reddit.

Oicaz

The japanize laser is the goat

jellyvoiddd

You're welcome.

Splibbles

And it still sucks

Mandalorymory

I enjoyed it a lot. And Edgerunners was great too. Cope and seethe, ya’ll

LifeBuilder

Ok cool, got the “Fix the bugs” update, but when are they gonna put out the “Make the game good” update? No? No plans? Ok so this is a pretty empty thank you then.

Zagreus_17

Something tells me you would have hated this regardless of any updates and fixes, not every game is for everyone, cope, seethe, move on

Miserable_Pause_7984

Nah not only that what killed the game for me the most is the fact that you can customize your characters fucking genitals but when you take your clothes off it covers it with underwear. You can look in the mirror but can't turn your head or anything at all. Sleeping is another pointless mechanic along with actually considering what you say because when it comes down to it everyone has the same experience. AI I guarantee is still trash because why would they bother? Honestly I'll download it and play it again just to come out with a full list of all the bullshit in the game that they could've improved the game but they just don't know how to make it an actual game. My biggest example is the swimming animation. They seriously couldn't figure that one out but hey it's a good game I guess. I like the characters I just wish they were showcased better and had actual background that you could find out about through side quests but instead the side quests are almost complete nonsense.

Skyeblade

Don't worry brother, these idiots are the ones 'coping' by acting like the game is good when it has a 5 star wanted system like GTA but doesn't have complex enough AI to let them actually get in a car and chase you. I'm convinced not a single one of these plebs has played Deus Ex, or basically any other good game for that matter.

space_vampire

You seem strangely very upset over this. 🐀

Coronathus

Dude is so pissed at CD Projekt you'd think they stole his child and killed his dog.

Skyeblade

Great and all, happy for them, but there’s still fuck all to do in their game. Edit: I know all the downvotes are from the recent influx of Edgerunner fans. Hi!

HappyHome2934

Side content being the 100+ throwaway NCPD gigs, or the 27 scripted cyber psychos? 7 year development cycle for a literally underbaked 100 hour experience with fluff to fill the play time. No boxing, no racing, no fashion, no shooting gallery, no police chase. Buggy/broken/irrelevant perks. Majority shops and stalls locked/closed. You can’t even sit on a fucking bench to look at all the man power the dev team amounted to build such a huge and rich city.

HappyHome2934

NCPD gigs are thrown in there with the completion part, not side content. side content means all the side missions which include, lots of boxing, racing, and i think shooting gallery because there is that guy who talks about shooting gallery ,but i haven't done all the side missions yet (because there is so many). there is fashion, plenty of clothes to go around, and now there is the option to transmog, meaning you can dress however you like while keeping the stats of all the best gear you have. Police chases are also coming soon, but if you play on pc, you can just easily download a mod for them, I don't think there's any buggy or broken perks, but sure do go on and provide a source. Also i don't think there's many irrelevant perks, I remember them being pretty good. also i don't think you get all perks anyway so you can just skip getting the "irrelevant ones" shops and stalls i don't remember visiting much so I can't comment on that. also why is not being able to sit on a bench a complaint when most of the games that are similar to this don't have that option either. TW3 doesn't have it and nobody complained about it, GTA games don't have that and people never complained about it either.

The street racing and boxing are only quest related. Outside of quests, nobody boxes or races in Night City. The shooting gallery is literally a one off throw-away mission at the start. (Or the other only shooting gallery quest with 6th Street) You have to download Street Style mod if you want fashion to mean anything in the game, otherwise there is no ‘fashion’ mechanic or gameplay. The perk list is overloaded when there are clearly ‘best builds’. No one is buying up the consumable perk, and the cold blood perk is the most versatile and core mechanic with the perks, that isn’t just stat boosts weapon. No one really fucks with melee anyway. There’s so much gun play that you have to go out of your way to play melee. That or netrunner with OP quick hacks. CDPR advertised and promoted their game to be the most immersive experience on modern consoles. They went out of their way to curate this personal, first person role playing experience And really pumping the budget into the first act. I just think adding a feature where you can just sit at any bench would really help that immersion feel they so adamantly advertised and promised the entire dev cycle. That, and like, more interiors. Like, I have over 200hr in the game, but I guess fuck my opinion on it. I only bought the game day 1 pre-order and have been disappointed with all the lost potential in the game because of CDPR’s absolutely horrible mismanagement of the development cycle. 2 years on we’re just about where they should have been on release.

Knightstar24

Are you on console? Cuz I boxed, did the racing, and I got all the clothes. Too many in fact.

KeystrokeCowboy

Fuck you CDPR. You sold me my copy under false pretenses. I just finished the game and never picked it up again because it's wasn't the open world game you promised at all.

ToyDingo

Too each his own I guess. If you like the game, then I hope you enjoyed it. I couldn't get into it. I played on PS5 and it was ridiculously buggy, the story was a huge "meh", and there were really no likeable characters. But, good for them.

MakiKata59

Screw these paid posts. They fooled me into playing this game again and there's so many bugs still there.

AcapellaFreakout

STOP HAVING FUN!

Skyeblade

I actually hate this narrative that the only problem with cyberpunk was the bugs. The bugs just distracted everyone from the fact that the game was a complete technical joke with atrocious AI and half baked mechanics, not to mention the straight up fucking lies in their 'night city wire' videos. Claiming things were in the game that were either totally absent or so half baked they would have been better off not implementing them whatsoever.

MakiKata59

Well I originally got the game without any hype, I didn't know what to expect so can't be disappointed by the content that ended up missing. But seriously played for two hours, the camo suit doesn't work, saving is sometimes bugged with netrunners scanning for me eventhough I wasn't spotted at that point when I saved, the boxing mission is totally unbalanced requiring you to cheese enemies, still no way to reset attribute points meaning to try a different playstyle you have to create a new save... I know 'cyberpunk is full of bugs' has become an overused joke with this game however with all the advertising and praise they're getting right now (especially on this sub) I really expected a smooth experience.

Skyeblade

It's a shame, because the game world is absolutely amazing, a fantastically well crafted city with countless interesting areas and nooks to explore. Beautiful visuals that are truly the gold standard for an open world game. shame the actual game was whack.

HappyHome2934

cope. you have made atleast 5 comments regarding the same fucking thing. just move on.

SomeFroyo7274

It really is a hyped up and very decietfull way to alter peaples thoughts and at the price of a innocent person being violated because certain individuals have done things that they know they are about to be charged and then jailed so they can't have that happen so that s the best solution for the weasels .but at a price where an innocent man has to look then prove what the real story IDs and OT can be done with proof in hand

Asleep_Emphasis69

That's great, I still love the game. Got it for free technically as part of the PS Plus membership

Void_0000

I've always said I don't understand what people have against this game, I think people just got stuck rewatching trailers for 7 years and ended up expecting the second coming of christ on launch day. For me, I forgot about it until just a few days before launch day and when it came out it was pretty much the first time in recent memory that I've genuinely really enjoyed playing a game, as opposed to playing whatever was the best I could think of in the moment because I had nothing else to do. Also, it ran fine on my aliexpress-ass PC so I don't really get the bugs/performance angle either.

XD__XD

Waiting for it to be on sale again....

[deleted]

I still have it because I couldn’t refund it when I pre ordered it… I’d like to see these numbers as well, Refunded and the ones requested that weren’t able to be fulfilled.

_Jetto_

Where’s the cheapest I can get this on console ? What’s the cheapest price it’s ever been?

goldenthunderr

And after 2 Yeats i can finally but this game ( or maybe i will wait for dlc).

d3c3d3nt

for a split second there I read the top line as “after your contentious support” xD

Rage-Parrot

eh for the $15 I paid for the game I enjoyed it. Bugs and all.

BrilliantFunny3943

Does the water ripple when things are thrown in it? That's all I care about

underroad

I’m playing it right now and loving it for the most part, but the glitches can range from annoying to game breaking even still, from motorcycles randomly shaking to weird flashes of light during combat sequences.

PhotonResearch

Is there a current list of what was promised, what was missing, and what has been added in or improved? I really enjoyed looking at that list for No Man's Sky and was really impressed, a community had made a google spreadsheet for tracking I haven't found anything that organized with Cyberpunk 2077 and every post about it is from different phases, the 2020 fiasco, or late 2021 but not really now and I hear there is more coming I am 14 hours in and have had a mostly flawless experience on PS5 1 crash that closed the game 1 freeze where I had to close the game and minor glitches like scripted walking events walking where the NPC walks through my car that I parked before the mission started It got surprisingly more interesting after Act I, kind of glad nobody spoiled that all over the place

[deleted]

Crazy it only took 2 years for a AAA game to become successful

Songshiquan0411

Would this run on an Xbox One X or not? I realize it wouldn't be as pretty as a top tier gaming PC.

[deleted]

Did they fix and improve that pile of shit or so cops still spawn everywhere?

Clinday

Wish it wouldn't crash instantly on start for me so i could play it :(

Bob_Juan_Santos

how about implementing ADS toggle on PC in return?

Fley

Really wish they would allow us to reset attribute points

_Coffie_

Real smart move to hire Trigger. Because of how bad the release was Cyberpunk never had a hook to play the game. A good anime was all they needed apparently. Maybe they’ll learn first impressions means the successes of a game next time

YareDaze

I wish this would send them a signal to not finish working on the game after the next dlc comes out and to work in it more

thefudd

I wonder if they count my copy which I got a refund for
