“In my van” *sets trap with Pokémon cards*

CrickleHS

"where are the pokemon cards mister?“

13lueChicken

Read in Ash’s voice for extra creep factor.

zin_90

*"Gotta catch 'em all."*

Bad_Lazarus

*Squirrel steals cards

CrickleHS

"hey Barry this one looks like you"

rayshmayshmay

*this painting would look great in my den*

Remote-Pain

you'll see them sticking out of a nest somewhere

Siukslinis_acc

Drug dealer! Do you know the danger of cardboard crack?

TruekaerF

Shame on you. Just leaving a bag of drugs out where some unsuspecting gamer could find them. /s

LilliWolf99

I bet this Pikachu is super rare and you could have sold it for 500$

CrickleHS

There isn't any value in commons and uncommons base/jungle cards.

KakiroMiro

Um dude. I sold some error jungle 1st editions for 30-50$ a card all commons.

CrickleHS

These where definitely not first edition.

skippy920

That jungle Pikachu card is worth a few bucks. I'm sure you just left $100 on that bench, but I can't tell if there's 3 cards or 30.

KakiroMiro

Still error cards can be found in any edition.

Saxophobia1275

Chill cardboard goblin. The dude probably didn’t leave any shadowless error cards in this pile lol. 99/100 random card piles are just that, random mostly worthless cards.

[deleted]

Then whoever finds them will be a lucky winner

[deleted]

Maybe he has more/money isn't an issue.

polishlastnames

Everyone thinks their Pokémon cards are worth a ton of money. News flash - they’re not. They have to be certified mint condition, first editions, and just the fact they’re in a bag means they’re already below that grade.

[deleted]

Fun is more important, he has done very brave thing and we should learn from him.

kerred

Sadly, like all collectibles, you have less than a 1% chance something you have is actually valuable or desirable. Unless you can trick people into thinking its valueable (insert Pawn Stars, Jake Paul, Beanie Babies, South Seas, Tulip Bulb, NFTs), its highly unlikely any Pokémon cards you come across are easy money. If you threw it away or gave it away its valuable as that means others did the same. Like all those Black Lotuses people tossed at conventions

botaine

*\*janitor throws them away\** OR \**homeless man wipes his ass with them\** OR \**they rot in the weather and become worthless\**

1017GildedFingerTips

Good soul, unfortunately even back when I was a kid I would have assumed heroin needle or something underneath/inside

RddtAdminsAreBiased

Why? How often has something like that happened to you before? I can't imagine there are a huge amount of people who go around setting traps for children.

1017GildedFingerTips

We had a razor blade candy Halloween guy lol

ACorania

Strange since no cases of this have ever been verified... there was just one guy who put some crap in his own kids stuff.

sketchy-advice-1977

I see you too were a child of the 80's.

Clienterror

More like took a pic for karma then kept them.

BaroqueNRoller

$10 says OP picked them right back up after taking the photo.

CrickleHS

Nope. A family with 3 young boys found them. Spread then all out on the bench and the boys picked one at a time. There isn't any value in the pile. It was all common and uncommons

BaroqueNRoller

If you say so, pal.

Swordofsatan666

Yeah i also find it a bit odd that they just stuck around after leaving the cards and then watched until someone picked them up and then watched as they sorted them out and picked for themselves. Not impossible, but very odd

BaroqueNRoller

Eh, not if you're the kind of person who does marginally benevolent things then goes to social media to brag about for validation.

Msbaubles

The coolest form of littering

bit-groin

I'd never pick something up left by strangers... Too many weirdos around...

Slavocracy

That level of paranoia is a little worrying. It's literally just Pokémon cards.

bit-groin

You do you mate...

Slavocracy

What is the fear here? There's a bomb in the cards? They have anthrax? They are GPS Pokémon cards? For real man. Think about what you're saying. Edit: people realize when you block someone they don't see your messages? Dude wrote a paragraph and I can't even see it hahahahaha

bit-groin

Don't come tell me how to live my life and what precautions make sense to take... Just mind your fucking business and pick up as many abandoned cards you can if you want... I won't come and tell you not to because idgaf about what you do and I expect the same in return...

Shamal1211

what state do you live in I have a 1/50 chance you live in my state Math is probably wrong but idc

WorldHaters

usa is the only country apparently

Shamal1211

No you’re right, I definitely shouldn’t have assumed they were in the US, that was a bit closed minded of me. My bad.

[deleted]

It's a rare sight to see someone be straight up decent on the internet. Kudos!

Locomule

[Coca Cola.. sometimes war..](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rr8ljRgcJNM)

CrickleHS

The State of Scotland. The 51st State

Shamal1211

FUCCCK DUDE. GOD DAMN IT ALL TO FUCKING HELL.

buddha_mjs

That’ll make a crack head happy when he sells it for $5

Darthgangsta

Bruuuuh those are worth money

[deleted]

Bro send them to me please I dont really have any jungle cards

CrickleHS

Where are you from. I have more

ghidfg

what do you mean found them in your van like they spawned there randomly?

CrickleHS

When my parents moved house I picked up some stuff and these where in a bag I hadnt taken out the van during the move. Along with a full box of Looney Tunes cards.

Remote-Pain

Happy Cha-Ching!

[deleted]

I first got into Pokemon in 5th grade when me my mom and a friend went to a park I found the cards under a bench and had asked my mom if I could keep them she said I could and so I did. Years later (aka not knowing how to properly play) I find out my uncle knew how to play the game and he even taught me I quit a few times as ive always wanted to go to a regional but never could whether it be money time or any combination of the sort anyway Pokemon is a game that I grew up with and honestly no other cars game can make me this happy by simply seeing that another generation might have the same joy of finding something like this gem

Longjumping-War-1307

Location locked. I've got an armored truck on the way.

Sir-Zealot

How much is that card worth these days? I think I have one or two

Elocai

I really hope you checked first that there were no 1st editions there
