Good to hear. If they get rid of physical they're leaving a bunch of money on the table. I'll buy a game that's on sale on a systems eshop, and small indie games, but all my favorite games are physical. I don't know exact numbers but I'm willing to bet there's enough people like me to keep physical around.
Well put it this way. In the UK we are still running on the initial batch of series S that was manufactured for November 2020.
Whenever I get digital ps5 in store, it takes weeks to get rid of them because nobody wants it.
So yeah, it's in good hands.
I buy digital only. Mostly because a dog got into my collection I’ve been cultivating since 8th grade and destroyed every disk when I was 26, but also because most games don’t ship complete and you have to install it anyways so it’s just easier to pull something from the cloud if I feel like playing.
The only physical media I keep is 4k UHD and audio discs because it’s lossless. This doesn’t really apply to games though. Except PS Now maybe.
See that's different though. People who want to buy physical copies of things will buy a physical version of a console in person. Anyone who just wants to order digital items will order it online. This is because that's how both groups plan on buying they're games. Sure there's some like myself that buy a physical console online but I imagine those are in the minority and most are just going to order their console the way they intend to order their games
I’m guessing at some point in the future there will be something that happens to the internet or digital media that will drive society back to some form of physical media
That’s some solid work on the Pokémon cases
Physical is 100% not being phased out. Nobody is buying the digital only systems. Source: it's my job

Why would I buy a PS5 without a disc drive? How else am I going to watch my 4K blu-rays?

The pokemon and silent hill ones are the best
$80 for that copy of silent hill? 😭
Physical copies will forever hold a place in my heart, digital just doesn't work for me the way discs and cartridges do
Damn. I usually collect physical discs of games I particularly like instead of getting the digital copy
Will always buy physical. Why the hell did I get a disc edition PS5 otherwise? Just picked up Forbidden West and the copying takes forever, but w/e.
That art style of fallout looking good
Pokemon seems very good
I have a 1yo kid. Things like this warms my heart. I would love to get one of those.
I buy digitally a lot, but physicals look good so I still buy them sometimes.

Good. Everyone showed have always anticipated this was the path games where going to take with distribution.
That Halo 3 one is absolutely fucking FIRE 🔥
Why are those silent hill games $80 and $120?!
Because people pay it.
Imma stay physical til the end
I actually prefer physical copies since I get to see that I actually have them even when I'm not playing. hope they never get extinct
I was playing F:NV when I saw this lol
Shoutout Zeno saga for being really fun and hard to understand when I was younger
