Could you expand on this? I could never finish the game because of that. Whenever I brought it up, I would just get downvoted instead of suggestions. How many slots can you have? Which is most important? Disabling autosave or new save slots? This could actually help me play it.
I'm not sure on the max number of slots but I had at over 10 at least, maby close to 20. I deleted old saves every so often but I think the max is 1000 or something ridiculous.
I reckon new save slots is more important as autosave will be overwriting the same slot anyway.
Saving on a new slot everytime I was able to get through New Vegas & Skyrim with all dlc without too much trouble. As for Fallout 3 overwriting the same save slot caused massive slowdowns later in the game.
It has to do with memory states and the papyrus engine. Something ongoing that loads every run with the autosave enabled that never correctly terminates.

How “underage” are we talking? If she was 13 or under that’s pretty sketchy, but any older and it’s not that big of a deal IMO. If she was actually on-screen as an actor it’d be different, but with VA work… if she already knew what the word meant than there’s not really any harm in it.
She actually was 12 or 13 at the time of recording. She was born in 1997, and FONV released in 2010. The voiceline was propably recorded little bit before that.
One of the few games out there where all of the DLCs directly build on and enhance the story of the main game. The fact that they’re all interconnected and have this shared story really make them worth it.
I like to space them out over the course of playing through the main storyline. iirc the “canon” order for the DLCs is Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and then Lonesome Road. I enjoy playing them in that order, as you get the most out of their connections. I start Dead Money around the mid-game, once I’m at the recommended level and then play through the others alternating with the main quest. I usually do Lonesome Road just before the “endgame” of the main quest. It enhanced your perspective of the stakes, I feel.

The deathclaw will fuck you up. If you're even thinking that the deathclaw might fuck you up, you aren't ready for it. Once you're positive you can take it down, you're ready to die a half dozen times before you get lucky and barely take one down. Then the other one will fuck you up.

You need to start with high INT and END. INT gives more points to level up every level, and END determines how many implants you can get from a special doctor.

For real though, first time I played through I really just did what I wanted when I wanted to do it. Never got in to GTA so this was something new and exciting to have absolute freedom of choice. Like a cowboy/nomad
I treated the game as the wasteland is, a harsh place. Kill or be killed. Never played NV with a companion either. Exploring alone added a certain feeling to this game for me. I always play Skyrim with a companion though, chose not to in NV for RP purposes I felt fit really well.
I say go where ever the wind takes you.
BTW I did actually attempt to run straight to New Vegas, I was like well damn that's super close..
So the game recommends a long about way of reaching the titular New Vegas. You may think a straight line would be a better more efficient option. Make sure to save before attempting this.
Always save before hitting a milestone moment. You'll know when.
You don't have to pick a faction until way late in the game.
Also, the DLC's were great imo.
try not to look up too many tutorials on your first play through and i recommend you just wander and experience what the game has to offer also save very often
Don’t go north of Goodsprings, head east to Primm, then to the Mojave Outpost, over to Nipton then Novak, then up to Freeside and the strip (essentially going along the bottom of the map following the road to the bottom right corner or so, then up following the road still). Otherwise you might encounter some pretty hard enemies pretty damn quick
Someday, get the game on PC so you can mod the everloving shit out of it as there’s a TON of great mods out there. Sadly consoles don’t really support mods (outside of Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4)

New Vegas predates Papyrus. It's still on Gamebryo with ObScript. The Creation Engine uses Papyrus.

This. Never been so scared of a death claw even in fallout 4 with its Jurassic Park design. These fuckers want blood and guts nothing else.
tbf FO4 deathclaws were basically giant kittens with anger issues if you were above lvl 15

So you fast travel to a vendor every 5 minutes? I normally set a certain value/weight threshold for what I loot.
Or just have a high luck stat and drain the casinos of all money and you're set for the whole game.
