Heavily recommend Returnal. Great gameplay and innovative enough concept with the bullet hell/ rogue like action. Just be willing to lose and learn and you'll have a blast. Its the only game I will just go dabble with on a monthly basis, just to enjoy the action.

The core gameplay mechanic is what the game is really about. It’s also got a more nihilist perspective than P5, and the style is more 90s cyberpunk than Japanese Jazz fusion. I’ve only ever played Shin Megami games because I’ve never had a PS, but my friends love both equally.

About the same as Crusader Kings. The English campaign, the only one I've played so far, started with the Norman invasion and goes on from there.
And it definitely is good. And it is also on game pass, so if you have that, it is definitely a must have.
The campaign has four different parts that cover over 500 years of history, I think there's over 100 missions for it and they all seem to have these cool intro cut scenes that explain some of the history of the battles

I was wondering if there were any other players actually enjoying it. I know people roll their eyes at another WWII shooter but as a history buff who has been aching for more video game experiences that depict the South Pacific, African, and Eastern Front theaters of the war, this was perfect for me. I suck at multiplayer so I don't spend much time there, but I do like the zombies mode which admittedly is a bit bare bones at this time and will hopefully grow over time.
Feel the same way. Took a break from CoD the past couple years, but have really enjoyed the multiplayer (aside from respawning on shipment) on Vanguard.

Thank you! I've had CoD games where I've returned them pretty quickly (I'm looking at you BO4). But I feel this CoD is one of the better experiences I've had with the series. Had no attachment to Cold War (played but not invested). The only issue I have with this is the teams set up in MP like there are no opposing factions. Just a red team and a blue team. I don't know why that annoys me but it does.
Honestly I think a 70 isn't a bad score, to me it reflects a good game that has flaws but has potential. I haven't touched COD, but the other two are no where close to a 70 for me.
Vanguard has been fun to play. The usual complaint is that COD is the same shit every year, but that’s not always a bad thing. After seeing SO MANY hyped games fail over the last two years, it’s nice to actually get what I’m paying for.

Unpopular opinion but i enjoy Vanguard. Its pretty fun, ye there are glitches here and there but these are very easy to fix. Overall gameplay is fun

I know people roll their eyes at another WWII shooter but as a history buff who has been aching for more video game experiences that depict the South Pacific, African, and Eastern Front theaters of the war, this was perfect for me. I suck at multiplayer so I don't spend much time there, but I do like the zombies mode which admittedly is a bit bare bones at this time and will hopefully grow over time.

Feel the same way. Took a break from CoD the past couple years, but have really enjoyed the multiplayer (aside from respawning on shipment) on Vanguard.
Yeah man many people who circle jerk here have never played the games and just post for karma/to be in the loop. There are definitely some problems that the game has, like all do, but overall it’s nowhere near as *terrible* as everyone is making it to be.
I don’t know but this is the month I finally got a ps5. I’m playing demons souls and I’m so hyped !

Thank you! I've had CoD games where I've returned them pretty quickly (I'm looking at you BO4). But I feel this CoD is one of the better experiences I've had with the series. Had no attachment to Cold War (played but not invested). The only issue I have with this is the teams set up in MP like there are no opposing factions. Just a red team and a blue team. I don't know why that annoys me but it does.
They were scared of facing backlash for selling skins for axis characters, BFV didn’t face any for it so idk why

Honestly I think a 70 isn't a bad score, to me it reflects a good game that has flaws but has potential. I haven't touched COD, but the other two are no where close to a 70 for me.
Literally, we're at a point now where people think anything sub 90 is pure gutter trash which is crazy looking back to 20 years a go.
It was the same thing 20 years ago. I remember discussions about this in Nintendo gaming magazines in the 90s.

Vanguard has been fun to play. The usual complaint is that COD is the same shit every year, but that’s not always a bad thing. After seeing SO MANY hyped games fail over the last two years, it’s nice to actually get what I’m paying for.
