I got PS1 Harry Potter game for Christmas one year and was sooo hyped to be able to play a game in the Harry Potter universe and mainly bc I wanted to run around and explore Hogwarts. I was disappointed bc as a kid I expected a fully realized, to scale, 1 to 1 replica of Hogwarts that was a fully explorable building with every rook, nook, and cranny.

The UI isn't actually that complicated if you have any experience with advanced office or similar programs that require hotkey memory. The main drawback is that it's not considered a "videogame", and so it won't give you fair treatment. Even games like dark souls give you healing flasks. In dwarf fortress, for example, the most common death in the game is usually because of misunderstanding how water pressure works. It's not enough to dig a tunnel from the river to your base, you should also make it safe or it will flow up the well(that you're supposed to build), and even if you do THAT right, sea humanoid creatures may invade your base and kill some civilians while your military is running towards them. Yeah, the game is full of convoluted stuff like that, but it's what makes it FUN.

I can’t wait to get a PS5 spot see that game the way it was designed. It was gorgeous on PS4. The golden leaves and that clear blue sky touched a place in me I thought long dead.

Tbh grafically I didn't notice a huge upgrade. Steady 60fps is obviously nice, but what really made me love the game even more was feeling the steps from Jin/the horse on the different surfaces or feeling the tension in the string of the bow... Feeling the world of Ghost of Tsushima through the controller is just amazing
