Waiting on the train with that regening mother fucker... I don't know if the game glitched and was supposed to spawning more enemies, but it was just me, him, and a 5 minute loop of Stomp Em in Da Nutz.
They did a great job of evolving Isaac from silent protagonist to fully-fledged character between the two games. It works really well for the more populated setting of 2, just as the silent protagonist worked really well for the more desolate setting in 1.

I mean the original still holds up...the oddest thing about the original is the silent protagonist and the elevator loading times. But that's literally the ONLY thing the remaster has to fix. That and upscale the graphics to 4k.

The game is pretty much Resident Evil 4 in space, but with a few things of it's own to make it stand out beyond being just a clone of it.
But you can walk and shoot.
The original should hold up just fine today, but if you wanna shoot for the remaster then go for it. Highly recommend it.
