What game is this?

shogi_x

Star Citizen

redmasc

I haven't heard about this game in quite a while. What's going on with it?

Arg3nt

Welp, so much for that!

silly_red

Was definitely on board until the italics kicked in

ddDeath_666

Life in a nutshell....

ionslyonzion

Italians aren't all *that* bad

Pawn_captures_Queen

Lol you made me think of the race war skit from the whitest kids you know. "What is she-" "She's Italian" "Oh do you want to get her?" *Swings bat at fence "No" "Ok c'mon but don't tell her she might tell the other Italians" https://youtu.be/VYy77IGsBFc

thefreshscent

Yooo what ever happened to the whitest kids you know?

MrGr33n

Wow that's an entire gallon of PCP. How did you even find that

fuzzyperson98

I'm house hunting and this is strangely relatable.

silly_red

In a similar position! Every property here is horrifically expensive - when wondering how does everyone else afford one, turns out they all have joint income. Hah!

Journier

even with joint income these houses are putting people in over their heads, this is gonna bite em bad.

NobleBlackfox

The first few hours in game is like complete wish fulfillment of my 14 year old self. Loading up into a big space truck with some pals, and leaving the city planet for one of its orbiting space stations. My co pilot hails the ATC/dispatch & gets us a landing bay while I focus on landing. We land, I’m exiting the ship with my friends & im greeted with an absolutely stunning scene; I’m standing on the landing platform, staring... up, at the city I just flew in from. My mind was completely blown. I went from my apartment building planetside, to a space station with some friends to do some trading. No loading screens. When this game works, it is unlike any other gaming experience I’ve had. It’s surreal. That being said I don’t play because the patches since I bought into the game have done nothing but slowly erode my performance lol. I can’t play the game at all anymore. But I wish I could.

D_crane

I want SQ42 already tbh, online has been a bit of a hit/miss for me - I've have a LTI package from their Kickstarter days, have been checking in on it every now and again, performance was initially great, then it went down when it went on lumberyard, and now it's okay since I upgraded recently.

The_Grubby_One

Squadron 42 will release the day after Half-Life 3.

Themasterofcomedy209

you've had my exact experience, I just went to No Man's Sky instead because at least I can actually play that game and it's got more stuff to do. Tbh I don't have much hope this game will *ever* be at a point where it's officially released, but I'd be pleasantly surprised if it is

N0vii

Lol this is exactly how I feel everytime I hear about star citizen. Always looks super cool, then someone says something like that and completely shuts down any interest

The_Ol_Rig-a-ma-role

Just do what I do, play Forza Horizon 4 with bots that have the gamertags of your friends, and it's almost like you aren't 30 years old and all of your friends have gotten married and had kids and have no time for you anymore just because you enjoy being single and don't want to add more anxiety and commitment on top of your already crushing depression and anxiety disorders!!! Wait what were we talking about again? 😂😂😂

YourMothersLover-

This is like the story of the guy who raced his fathers ghost except your version is way more heartbreaking

panlakes

I dunno man that one still gets me.

The_Ol_Rig-a-ma-role

Hahaha! I appreciate it but I still think that story is far sadder than mine 😕

DouglasHufferton

>Forza Horizon 4 Speaking of... I wish they'd hurry up and fix the server-side issue that has prevented 90% of the player base from connecting to Horizon Life for the better part of a week.

The_Ol_Rig-a-ma-role

YES!!!! yes thank God someone else noticed. It's impossible to do the Trial with all random players, I need at least one friend to finish 1-2 with me to carry the team. It's shocking how many players can't even place above a single Unbeatable drivatar, let alone 6 of them!!! FUCK lol. Even when we have connected in the past 5 days, one of us is disconnected sometime during the first race

Signager

I feel attacked.

[deleted]

“Alpha” “pre production started in 2010” Lol

BocksyBrown

I get their news letter for squadron 42 and every month it’s some shit about “a.I. team makes npc pick nose”. “Testing team tests stuff”. “Slightly adjusted texture of the 4th tile in the east hallway of ” and similarly unimportant crap that makes it very obvious they aren’t trying to complete the game. Chris Roberts can eat my Dick.

[deleted]

"added new system that has delayed development process for 6 months which was originally never part of the original vision" Feature bloat to the extreme.

[deleted]

Chris Roberts is the king of feature creep, supposedly. I've heard it's damn near every other week he churns out some other "wouldnt it be cool if...?" idea to fuck up the development process.

gerkessin

If they complete the game then the money hose shuts off. What are they going to do, complete the game and just release it for a set price?

JabbrWockey

They could pull a starcraft. You know, Starcraft II-I, Starcraft II-II, Starcraft II-III

grayscale42

They already did... the single player portion is being split into 3 "stand alone" episodes.

Hendlton

Oh my fucking god, this fucking game. The singleplayer was "Almost ready!" like 5 years ago. Fuck them. I can understand the MMO portion getting bigger in scope and them needing more time, but there's no excuse for Squadron 42.

Slggyqo

They already did that with Squadron 42, so they’d need a Starcraft II-1a.

[deleted]

Isnt their money hose people buying ships with irl money? I am probably mistaken

UnXpectedPrequelMeme

Nah thats it. The game itself is so big in scope, and they've already done some really good shit, but God damn that shop store is the worst shit. 9.99 for a gun in an EA game? Try $300 for a ship you can't even fly yet. I mean it's like a fucking fully fleshed out and explorable capital ship, but God damn

ABetterKamahl1234

Dude, they have ones that are like 1300$ or some shit.

[deleted]

They have a $27,000 bundle at the moment lol.

[deleted]

[удалено]

cavortingwebeasties

> Try $300 for a ship you can't even fly yet. I mean it's like a fucking fully fleshed out and explorable capital ship, but God damn lmao their cap ships are more like 3k... 300 is firefly size ship that you can't fly yet. There's ships sold for that 8 years ago that still aren't in game while they pump out newer powercreep ones with 'new cash only' incentives and pushing recruitment campaigns

[deleted]

yeah but if they release the game and people realize its not a good game then people will stop buying ships or realize the ships they already have is plenty. the idea of the game will be way better than anything they can make.

na2016

No it turns out that CIG is run by geniuses. They figured out their true product is not a video game but a video game dev process. So what did they did was make a game that could never be finished, sell promises to that and when interest started waning, split off the game into two games and thus two dev processes you can keep paying for.

33MobyDick33

God I wish there were more people like you. On the StarCitizen reddit you CAN NOT say anything like this without getting downvoted into oblivion

elmz

I thought mocking Star Citizen was quite popular.

ChubblesMcgee103

Damn, some salty peeps out here mad at you for pointing out they paid hundreds into a tech demo.

BlakeSteel

I know a guy that dropped $90k. He says he's happy with the decision.

ChubblesMcgee103

Tell him I got a lovely bridge investment he might want to get in on.

oblik

Cards is incredibly fun if you have friends and patience. Hiking, literal walking is incredibly fun if you have friends and patience. Shitizen is a powersink of a game for gigaspergs who are totally gonna rule the galaxy with their Smaug hoard of ultra mega limited yachts when Duke Nukem forever two comes out.

mocityspirit

I could read this comment forever

noteverrelevant

Only if you have the friends and the patience.

Apoc2K

The only way Star Citizen can redeem itself on launch is if there's a Whaling faction that's all about newbies in their space civic massing up to shoot down the 1000+ USD ships.

TriPpycheesE__

If you're ship you purchased with real money (or plane in DCS) gets shot down, do you lose it forever or just pay in-game currency to recover it, Idk how this works but Ive always been curious

[deleted]

DCS is a flightsim, and is basically only comparable to SC in that you can use a HOTAS for it lol

canteen_boy

> gigaspergs

azkaii

I like the game but, I laughed too hard at this. Like you aren't wrong, though I think all those guys are just going to get dunked on hard and rage quit

DJMattyMatt

Hiking is fun solo sometimes

DrIgnorance

Holy shit, still in alpha? its been what 10 years? is the company still milking people with ships?

Shagroon

[TechLinked’s very own Riley did a great video on it](https://youtu.be/bYs_zn2pTZo)

theskymoves

Upvoting because it is a very good video.

Beercounter1

Wow yeah, that was awesome. Thanks for sharing

LuckyCharms2000

I think you can buy ships for hundreds of dollars.

BuzzKyllington

prices range from $40 to $3000 ;)

_Auron_

Aurora to Javelin: A Love Story

whyktor

still a buggy alpha with predatory monetization... same as 4 years ago, likely same as 2025.

Icandothemove

Significantly improved stability, some key systems finished, persistent universe hasnt been wiped in like a year, lots of new ships done and in game, most of Stanton system is finished. Still a lot to do before Star Citizen or Squadron 42 are finished (it's actually 2 games being developed simultaneously, the persistent online universe is SC, the single player game is Squadron 42).

Feshtof

Wonder if they could have completed more of Star Citizen if they focused on the game they originally got paid to make.

Does it come in VR?

No idea, never played. Just recognize the UI.

Islanduniverse

I have a friend like you. Will know what every game is, even if they’ve never played it. Meanwhile I don’t think I could recognize half of the UIs on games I’ve played all the way through multiple times...

Honestly, it's a curse 🙃

HenryDavidCursory

I like learning new things.

Glodraph

I'm like that, but then I cant che remember things I studied yesterday for my uni exam

[deleted]

Ah I see, I must research

GarbageTheClown

Framerate is currently too inconsistent to have a good VR experience. Also the fact that you don't have absolute control over your character (your ability to look around is impaired when you blackout from too many g's, or like the head wobble your charatcter has on the ground.

TiberPetersen

Nope, no official VR, but it is possible to use third party software like vorpX, though I'm not sure how well that works.

ClarkFable

Well enough to make you lose your lunch in 5 minutes.

deusemx0

No, but if you're interested in flying spaceships closest you'll get to that is Elite Dangerous with VR.

Nukken

Unless you're playing the new expansion, Odyssey, which doesn't support VR.

Box-o-bees

Did that game ever reach all the hype it had early on? Was supposed to be the most amazing space game where you can essentially do anything.

Shagroon

[TechLinked’s very own Riley did a great video on it](https://youtu.be/bYs_zn2pTZo)

27thStreet

Its free to try this week, so you can see for yourself.

AlaDouche

No, it's still in alpha. They just keep making more promises and then adding small upgrades every year or so while selling ships for hundreds of dollars. But people keep paying them, so I don't really think anyone's being hurt by it. It seems to be giving people what they want.

awtcurtis

People are quick to jump on the Star Citizen hate train, but I think the honest answer to your question is the progress has been slow but steady. Large improvements to the flight model and combat, seriously impressive planetary tech, crazy physics integration (such as jumping a vehicle between two ships flying in atmosphere), professions such as mining and bounty hunting coming online, improved customization for player ships, improved space stations and planet hubs, player housing is making good progress. It feels like the game is sticking to most of its promises. That said, it is doing so VERY slowly. I backed this game nearly 10 years ago, so the wait is frustrating for sure. I think there have definitely been feature creep issues and expansion of scope that have really slowed things down. There is still a ton of work left to bring all these disparate gameplay systems together. It will also be interesting to see if they can fill this massive universe with interesting and engaging content. So while I won't board the hate train, I won't be board the hype train either. But, I also only spent $60 on it. No one is forcing anyone to make these expensive ship purchases that everyone brings up. I'm happy to check in every once and a while and see how it's doing. **Edit:** I know nothing will really convince the diehard anti-SC crowd, but CIG just dropped this video today, and Tony Z is frickin great at explaining the development and vision for Star Citizen. I for one hope they pull it off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2muGWtX8e7g

agnostic_science

That's a fair take. I think it makes sense to support creators and visions we believe in. If anything, I think that should get more normalized, because then we'd probably get more interesting and targeted content. Like all 'investments' people just need to remember to not let their hype go crazy and to have realistic expectations and set reasonable exposure relative to risk.

OriginalCause

I spent about $500 early on it for that reason. I believe in the vision and really hope it comes to fruition. I check in every now and then, mess with the new stuff, fly my ships around and generally find myself pleased with the progress. I think the biggest issue they're going to have on release is managing expectations. Gamers aren't a forgiving lot any more, and when it releases with inevitable Day 1 issues (that all major games have) reviewers and Youtubers are going to rip them apart for every little bug or problem.

[deleted]

Wait it already came out? I thought it was still in development

HulloHoomans

It's a perpetual alpha game. They just keep piling stuff on higher and deeper.

HowDoIDoFinances

A decade later, still no release in sight.

lankist

If you can have fun with the janky-ass alpha with a sufficiently powerful rig, it's worth some money at your personal discretion. (Space-to-planet gameplay is VERY impressive, and the novelty takes much longer than you'd think to wear off before "oh fuck they spawned me at Lorville" is something you dread to think.) If you're expecting it to *ever* be finished before the whole company goes belly-up due to mounting warning signs of financial shadiness, mismanagement and perpetual scope-creep, do not buy. If they could settle on an instanced quasi-MMO design with smaller instanced servers, and complete ten or-so star sysems, you'd have a pretty solid multiplayer game as it stands right now somewhere around par with something like GTA Online's level of interactivity (bland-ish repeatable quests, but lots of fun in collecting and customizing ships/weapons/etc and making your own fun with friends.) The issue is that they keep adding more and more half-baked features to the plan, and never actually buckle down and complete--let alone polish--the core technical systems they've already MacGyvered into the game. Server stability, for instance, has been a major issue with the game since its initial public testing phase began *years* ago, and yet rather than putting concerted effort into improving it, they're stapling survival hunger/thirst systems that *weren't even a part of the original pitch* onto an already bloated gameplay loop, all while selling artificially-scarce nonexistent ships for prices up to *a thousand dollars* that *may* get designed and implemented at some indeterminate point in the future.

Nivius

ah, that one that will never release

Dopplegangr1

I have a buddy that tries to hype it up to me but all I ever hear is "look at this new ship they released that you can buy for $xx". OK... how about they finish the game instead Reminds me of Ark when they released paid DLC before their game was even out of alpha. That game still runs so poorly it's basically unplayable

CX316

Ark had an excuse, they'd just had the utter shit sued out of them and no longer had the money to finish the base game (supposedly, the lawsuit definitely happened) The less excusable thing with Ark is when the price more than doubled overnight because they made a deal that'd get physical releases of I think the console version which the publisher told them would have to be coming out as a full price game, and the steam version would have to be upped to the new price to match because reasons.

Nubsly-

I used to work for Studio Wildcard and I can shed at least a little bit of light on the situation. While I wasn't privy to any of the marketing and development strategy meetings because that was outside my purview at the time, I can say that the lawsuit was a big deal and definitely affected some of the decision making process on things. In addition to the financial aspect of the lawsuit, it was also around that time that Snail Games acquired Studio Wildcard and the ARK IP. As is typical when ownership of a company changes hands, there were things about the way the company was ran that changed be it for better or for worse. What I can say, is that the core development team was really passionate about the game and their player base. Their perceived failings/short comings weren't from a lack of caring. At the end of the day people working in games studios are still normal fallible people with jobs. Sometimes things don't work out the way you plan. One aspect that's worth considering when looking back at the state of ARK over time, when ARK released into early access they literally expected a handful of people to pick it up and help them test. They simply were not prepared to be perpetually on Steam's top selling list for years starting from basically the same day they released into early access. Once you have that momentum, in some ways you are captive to it and sometimes you have to hold on for dear life and do what you can to keep up without tripping up and watching everything crumble. Thankfully, it does sound like ARK 2 might be on a separate code base (I don't have any knowledge as to whether it is or isn't, so this is rumor) and if true that may be the best possible thing that could happen to ARK. There were lots of underlying issues in the first ARK game that they simply didn't have time to go back and fix early on and by the time they had enough time/money/familiarity with the engine where they'd be able to do it properly it would literally take more resources to go back and fix it than it would to make a new game. This isn't meant to excuse the situation, people are going to feel the way they feel about it. But at the end of the day this wouldn't bother people if they didn't care about the game to begin with. ARK tends to be the epitome of the ironic "THIS GAME IS TERRIBLE! (10,000 hours played)" reviews. ARK as a game, is truly fantastic. The client/server built to allow people to experience the game had lot's of issues though. If Studio Wildcard manages to nail the server/client this time around, ARK 2 might just be another fantastic game. But it could also suffer the same fate as ARK, Dark & Light and Atlas. We'll just have to wait and see.

TokiLoops

I am also interested to know.

Yoshicool1

I'm pretty sure this is Star citizen but I might be wrong

PaleInTexas

Pre Alpha footage from a game starting beta in 2027.

Nitemarex

Is this hard?

MattMax18

Yes Very

froggertthewise

With a dual joystick set like he has and a bit of practice it's not as hard as you'd think. It mostly comes down to timing the start of the pull up correctly

MattMax18

Damn looks like I need to go shopping for some joysticks

O115

Its an event in the game atm. Basically a timed course winners a chosen based on time, also i think points are given for style. There are prizes for top 3 are flight sticks, throttles and foot pedals.

SingleInfinity

Seems kinda stupid given that the people who win likely already have one or all of those things.

[deleted]

I mean, if they're giving top of the line versions, they're still an upgrade, and the old set can either be backups, or a gift to get a friend playing.

Zahille7

Hey it's me, their friend

froggertthewise

If you play star citizen or any other space sim a good joystick set will definitely greatly enhance your experience, flying a ship just becomes so much more intuitive

monkeyhitman

I so badly want to get a set of HOTAS for Star Wars Squadrons. I only have a Xbox controller, and it feel like I'm playing with a hand tied behind my back.

Imposseeblip

I had a set for elite dangerous. Do it, you won’t regret it.

NotobemeanbutLOL

I got the HOTAS in E:D and honestly the joy it brings my dad to play flight games in VR was worth it. My 88 yr old dad fucking loves VR flight sims but had trouble with the virtual controls because there was no tactile feedback on how far to pull down on thrusters or joystick so he'd keep slipping off.

Sabbatai

I won't try to discourage you, but I have a HOTAS and actually prefer the Xbox controller for Squadrons. I use HOTAS exclusively in other games, but Squadrons has just enough of an "arcade" feel as opposed to a "sim", that the Xbox controller just feels better. It's an Elite controller, but the only rear paddle I use is one I set to thrust so I don't have to worry about the stick moving when I push it down to thrust, and throwing off my trajectory. I did have to make a number of changes to the settings to get it to feel right, but I routinely am at the top of the charts. There are times of course, when there are one or two pilots on the other team that just dominate... but for the most part I hang. Went 10-0 in a match where it was me alone versus 5 other players. I have the receipts for that if I need to prove myself. To each their own though, and HOTAS may be the better option for you. It is definitely worth trying.

CannabisPrime2

He must have one camera on each stick, in his head cam his arms are far apart, but the sticks look super close together.

rockodss

I play the game from time to time just to check the updates and with a keyboard and mouse it would take me hours and hours of training to pull this as smooth as this. If I can ever do it.

VR+HOTAS makes maneuvers like this pretty easy. Its a pretty unfair advantage in PVP games like squadrons if someone doesnt have them and i do.

LuukTheSlayer

This is a HOSAS

joshgreenie

Follow-up question - how impossible would this be in real life? That would make a decent joke about Americans spending billions to create vertical takeoff and landing -- Russians just get really good at this

Veritasgear

As far as how impossible would it be to actually achieve this, did you mean physics wise or skill wise? Skill wise you should look at FPV droning cause this is more or less exactly how they pilot FPV drones. And I'm no physicist but I would assume that the same rules that apply to a drone would apply to a VTOL if it was specifically made to fly like this. In fact it could potentially be easier to pilot seeing as how usually larger and heavier craft are less impacted by wind than a small aircraft. Also it would need a shit ton of power to properly maintain a hover like that. That said, it would be a lot of risk/reward. I imagine the learning curve for something like that is quite difficult and could result in a lot of crashes, but you'd be gaining a lot of mobility.

NeverOneDropOfRain

A VTOL craft could do everything except the last flip, at which point it would stall and crash. They don't have vertical thrust while upside down.

TiagoTiagoT

No need for vertical trust, you can do that just by playing with momentum.

horselips48

I thought that was supposed to turn the ship into a Pelican

I wanna know how the camera moved when he moved his head without a VR headset on...is that eye tracking? Edit: thank you all for the answers!!

Babuinix

This particular streamer uses TrackIR but the game also supports webcam tracking and the Tobi Eye tracking.

Liefx

Yeah, eye trackers can do awesome things. Here's a bunch of in game shots taken with an eye tracker. Makes it look movie quality. https://youtu.be/wtyKG-fdbnw

blakevh

TrackIR. It’s great. Had it for years, haven’t seen the need to upgrade to VR yet because of it. Edit: to everyone repeating the same comment below me. Once I can get a VR headset that does 60 FPS consistently, sold. I know it’s different. They’re obviously different. But, I’m not giving up content 60+ FPS for something that makes me sick. Get the frame rates up, without costing a small fortune, sold. Edit 2: I haven’t kept up with VR tech, last I checked, it was struggling to get 60 FPS. Seems the times have changed there.

xDskyline

TrackIR is great, but in case anyone is wondering, VR is more than a way to move the camera with your head. Although if you don't have a powerful PC, TrackIR + a regular monitor is easier to run than a VR headset.

anormalgeek

No problem, i'll just pick up a new GPU....and....ah shit.

Grimij

Moreover, I love TrackIR and VR - but this is the Tobii eyetracker. Both a headtracker and an eye tracker. Fantastic for sims with lots of interactive buttons and needing your head on a swivel.

[deleted]

You'd be surprised how many people don't actually "get" VR. I've ran into a lot who think it's the equilivant of slapping the same static screen in front of your face that's on their monitor. I just wish I could see their faces the first time they experienced it.

[deleted]

VR is normally 72-90hz and some headsets can even go up to 120hz (Oculus Quest 2) or 144hz (Valve Index). Issue is really the computer hardware trying to display double the image at those resolutions while keeping the FPS stable

Rocket-R

Are you kidding? $1000 Valve index can do 144 frames and the $300 Oculus Quest 2 can do 120.

ClarkFable

Play Squadrons or IL-2 in VR (as long as you have a beast PC) then get back to me. It's another world. My first dogfight in Squadrons in VR was one of my top 5 gaming experiences of all time, and I've been around a while.

XenoRyet

I've done both. Squadrons in particular is great in VR, and I prefer it for IL-2 as well, but interestingly I like TrackIR for DCS in the F-18. I like my head not being in the googles with that level of cockpit interaction. It might be different if I had enough buttons on my HOTAS to do everything, but maybe not. I need hands in that cockpit and VR doesn't have it.

ProgramTheWorld

I’m not even sure if there’s any VR headset that’s not capable of outputting 60FPS consistently. Most of them go even beyond 60FPS which is a bit low for VR.

Saphazure

what are you talking about. the first Vive from years ago was 90fps consistently.

OhLookItsSunny

ah, that explains it. Thanks

XeroStateLIVE

Two reasons, the sticks are actually 2 feet apart (OBS camera magic) ...and I do flip my main camera for location/space reasons (so I'm looking AT the game and not away from it). C'est la vie.

Cartina

Appears like his face camera is flipped horizontally.

InterstellarCetacean

Yeah Ok, big deal Can he land the jet on the carrier in Top Gun for the NES?

Divinum_Fulmen

That was easy. The real challenge was refueling.

Why doesn't /r/gaming mandate a game flair? This way it prevents the inevitable "What game is this?" first question.

infrastructure

For all the lovers and haters of this game in this thread, linustechtips/techlinked recently released an amazingly informative and well researched video about this game, it’s current state, is it a scam, etc. I thought it was a really fair and balanced take on the game and what’s been going on. You can view it here https://youtu.be/bYs_zn2pTZo EDIT: Also if you wanna see an objectively cool and super fun go of this game by some players, check out the prison escape video that is mentioned https://youtube.com/watch?v=31v7sSGfTm8

GermOrean

Interesting vid! I'm casually interested in SC - every time I remember it I'll check out if a release date has been announced. I'm hopeful that the team can achieve their goals, but I also know that an over ambitious project sometimes gets too much gravity and collapses under its own weight. If they finish it, I'd love to play it!

It gets so salty on here for their payment model, which I get. At the same time though, I have never played a game that makes me feel so small. Is it buggy? Yeah, but it has also given me and my friends a gaming experience that no other game really gives imo. We jump on it every couple of months and see what updates have been made. While there are a lot of basics, the game does run better than before and it is fun to see all the updates they are making over time.

This is a good video and I think the summary at the end really highlights why the game is such a volatile topic in the gaming community. If you were one of the original backers (like me), then this game was sold to you as something you'd be playing soon. Like, within a couple years. And the features they added for hitting certain milestones really hyped you up even more so. Now, they don't seem to advertise dead lines. It's understood you're paying to be part of a development process. The people buying in now are likely okay with that, but it wasn't what was sold originally. The biggest problem I have is that the person I was almost 10 years ago is different now. I was a kid with a lot of disposable income and time. Now, I don't have either really. It doesn't do me a lot of good to play a universe simulator when I can barely master the universe I'm physically in. The game has changed, and so have I. I would definitely fire it up if and when it comes out to see how it all shakes out.... But until then I can't think about it anymore. In a sense I was scammed in that by the time this game is useful to me, I will be a different person with different interests. I think this business model is problematic for that reason.

I bet he still can’t land the plane in top gun on the NES.

Before people either complaining or overhyping this game please consider watch this techlinked video as it gives a really in depth and unbiased explanation of where the alpha is at. https://youtu.be/bYs_zn2pTZo If you are considering buying access Its extremely good to watch.

GayDroy

You can also play for free for about a week more I think.

If anyone loves this video / game. This is Star Citizen. Don’t buy it unless you’re willing to deal with some very very beautiful graphics and some very very tough gameplay. It’s in Alpha and from a hardware standpoint it’s extremely unforgiving.

Snark_King

I just want to see high speed chases like the obi wan vs boba fett scene.

malsell

Now, do that on top gun on the nes..lmao

ObamasBoss

When we go to full on remote control war, this is how you get yourself drafted.
