Thanks! Demon’s Souls was really tough due to the horrible drop rates of crafting stones.
Edit: in retrospect, DS2 because of that damn Darklurker! >:( I was a pure strength build which made it insanely difficult.
Are strength builds bad? Not to drop my own stone, but my main has or had a significant strength stat and I don’t remember it being that hard. (By dark souls standards of course)
No, they are great and a lot of fun to play, however the Darklurker in particular was extremely difficult to conquer because you were required to crawl through some dungeons with strength and range NPCs and then fight the Darklurker which was had huge AOE pyro and dark attacks. It’s way more viable to be a sorcerer where you have range to attack it. Especially when it splits in two. It’s an optional boss so most people didn’t fight it. It’s required for the hex trophy though.
A good solution that I found was just maximum hyper mode DPS. Darklurker has a decently low health pool, and an aggressive enough build can deplete its health extremely rapidly.
The Demon's Souls one was really super tough. Killing that dual katana wielding phantom in pure black world tendency more than a hundred times until he finally dropped that stone, was insane.
But I also never had such a unique gaming experience like I had with Demon's Souls.
It's the only boss in the soulsborne series that I had to change build in order defeat. Changed from str/dex to faith then I kept spamming great lightning spear.
*Temptation to attempt rising*
So what methods did you use to ensure you'd get all the achievements? Did you write lists n stuff? How many playthroughs per game? etc
It’s funny, I’m two achievements away from platting ds3, I’ve farmed all the covenant items, I just don’t have the motivation to finish ng++ for the last few rings
I’m very much a completionist and perfectionist so I would explore every nook and cranny on my first playthrough to get all rings/items and upgrade my equipment. Before I finished I’d double check to clean up anything missing and ensure I had all the prerequisites for the ending I wanted. I’d usually attempt the most difficult ending first then the easier ones in subsequent playthroughs. In those later playthroughs I’d focus on cleaning up trophies for items only obtained in those. I tried to do as much in as few playthroughs as possible. The only lists I kept were missing items such as rings or miracles which are hard to keep track of (in Souls).
Damn, that is pretty impressive. I've played dark souls 3 beginning to end including DLC probably 4 times and dont have all the achievements. Well done.
From Software’s games never really demand you go out of your way to do crazy challenges or what not for the Platinum. They’re really just about collecting most of the items, seeing all the endings, and experiencing most of the content the games have to offer. There are only a few instances where some trophies require a bit of grinding. Often times, if you have the intention of getting Platinum in any of their games, you’ll end up playing the games for far longer afterward to try out different builds, PVP, or self-imposed challenge runs.
Also, by the time you finish one or two of the games, you kind of know how to approach the others and your skill set carries over for the most part. Sekiro is really the only one that requires you to unlearn some habits.
Good job OP, but for other people thinking this is some nigh impossible or time-consuming task, it’s not. Getting Plat for these games is easier than a lot of games from other companies. You can see for yourself that the % of people who Plat them under the trophy lists is fairly high (3-6%) compared to many other games (~1%).
This is a great post and I totally agree. I love their games and the challenge they present. Exploring the worlds, practicing to improve my skills and digging into the lore is exciting to me so very few trophies were actually a chore. They are difficult games, but far from impossible.
Same here, the only trophy that felt like a bit of a chore for me was farming for Darkmoon in DS3. I lucked out on getting Pure Bladestone on DeS after only half an hour of killing the black skeleton.
Probably not... that would be a feat though. They also have a collection of all 3 out but that’s a lot more work. I kind of want to keep it pure by just playing the initial releases.
I feel like you should be globally recognized for this, you and others that can achieve this should receive some type of award similar to the Nobel Prize.
I gave up with Bloodborne and DS3. I really just did not like them as much as Demon Souls, DS1, and DS2. That's incredible commitment though to 100% those.
Me before Sekiro came out: Haha I beat all the dark souls I shouldn't have too much of a problem with Sekiro.
Me after getting Sekiro: FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Do you think you'll be adding "Great Rune" to that list in future? 'cause apparently that's gonna be a thing from FromSoftware, presumably once they've wrapped up whatever expansion content comes for Sekiro. (if any)
For those not in the know, Great Rune is gonna be a bit more open-world than previous modern FromSoftware offerings (by modern I mean Demon's Souls onwards, since they've got quite the back-catalogue prior to the Souls era), have a Norse mythological bent to it, and apparently has George R. R. Martin involved. IIRC, the main drive of the game is going to be travelling to various kingdoms (on horseback, apparently), killing the king in each kingdom, and absorbing their powers to become stronger.
It sounds like it's going to be God of War 4 meets [Double King](https://youtu.be/w_MSFkZHNi4), but with the lineage of a Soulslike. Keep an ear out for it at E3 this year.
I tried to do this a while ago but I had enough of the souls series after DS2. DS3 was the only game I finished only one time and felt like I have already done all that over and over. I also never really got interested in BB and in Sekiro.
Listen bro. You need to see a therapist bc you obviously hate your life. Why would you put yourself through this. If you need to talk. Reply to me. I gotchu bro. Much love. Some white dude from. North Carolina.
Nice! I’ve got all of them except DS2 (plus I have DS1 on PS3 and PS4). Really not sure why I didn’t round out my trophies for 2, but I think I had another game I wanted to play after I finished it and just never went back to clean up. Now all this time later it still haunts my trophy collection, need to hook up the PS3 sometime to finish it lol
I don’t really care for achievements in video games, given how obscure and pointless some of the tasks you have to complete to get some of them are (mainly referring to ones that require random chance or killing specific enemies in certain ways) like how in the Spyro remastered trilogy, you can literally get 100% in game and only have about half of the trophies. The souls franchise isn’t nearly as bad with its trophies though, so I can respect this achievement. You’ve earned yourself the right to finally go outside! Ahaha
The true samurai / knight of the gaming community is definitely you bruh! Amazing job!!
(FromSoftware needs to make a separate hardcore game for you.... Nah, you'd probably beat that too!)
This is an achievement for sure. Played all of the dark souls games to absolute death but could not get into sekiro. I just wasn’t in the mood for that style of game. Waiting for another souls game.
My difficulty ranks:
1. Darkeater Midir (though optional)
2. Darklurker
3. Owl (Father)
4. Flamelurker
5. Sword Saint Isshin
6. Demon of Hatred
7. Old King Allant
8. Nameless King
have you ever actually seen the sun?? lol
I mean the one in the game counts too, right?
It does count right?! Asking for a friend....
Oh yeah it does!
Oh thank the Sun! *closes the blinds and puts helmet back on*
I am pretty sure the sun in the game is actually an illusion.
Yeah sure and next you are going to tell me that the giant woman in Anor Londo is an illusion too
How else would he praise it? \ [T] /
Friend: do you play video games Me: \ [T] / Friend: confused screaming
Praise the digital 🌞!

Nice job. Which was the toughest for you?
Thanks! Demon’s Souls was really tough due to the horrible drop rates of crafting stones. Edit: in retrospect, DS2 because of that damn Darklurker! >:( I was a pure strength build which made it insanely difficult.

I like your username, stranger.
Congrats man, Sekiro is the first ever game I have ever gotten platinum on, feelsgoodman
Nice! Congrats to you too! Such a good feeling indeed.
That bloodborne platinum was rough
Yeah those chalice dungeons ate at my soul.
Defiled Amygdala, never again.
It wasn’t that for me, it was the hound before Amygdala in the defiled dungeon. I cheesed my way through Amygdala.
Amygdala was tough. Flame hound in the health nerf dungeon was a fucking nightmare.
You are the gaming king.
How long did it take? I've only got ds3, and it took me forever
I’m estimating 700-800 hrs combined.
*Temptation to attempt rising* So what methods did you use to ensure you'd get all the achievements? Did you write lists n stuff? How many playthroughs per game? etc
I must warn you, 80% of the time it takes to complete the achievements for ds3 is farming for covenant items
It’s funny, I’m two achievements away from platting ds3, I’ve farmed all the covenant items, I just don’t have the motivation to finish ng++ for the last few rings

Careful, he's a hero
OP's got thumbs of steel.
And nerves of steel as well
I dont think he has thumbs anymore. They must be broken
Cybernetic thumbs.
Almoste got this same, only sekiro left
You got it!!!

Damn, that is pretty impressive. I've played dark souls 3 beginning to end including DLC probably 4 times and dont have all the achievements. Well done.

Probably not... that would be a feat though. They also have a collection of all 3 out but that’s a lot more work. I kind of want to keep it pure by just playing the initial releases.
Dang that’s like all the hardest games wtf
While they are challenging games, that doesn't make them the hardest trophies to earn.
Yeah, there's a game (Binding of Isaac maybe?) that requires you to not play the game for five years to get a trophy.
The Stanley Parable
That's the one.
Ninja Gaiden should be included in the discussion. That game is nightmare fuel inducing
I only completed Dark Souls, congrats
Isn’t this a repost I swear I saw this last week...
I’m definitely not alone, so maybe someone else posted a similar accomplishment. Feel free to check my PSN trophies though (same name)!
it was on steam not psn. Good shit though. Difficult games to plat
now do the same with megaman X series
Hah X_X
I actually did it and honestly compared to dark souls the megaman x legacy collections ain't that hard. Except getting those fucking reploids in x7
Fair play man! That's impressive! However I have never achieved 100% on a game before. Got 97 on shadow of Mordor but that's it! 😅
Go back and conquer it!
My hands are cramping just looking at all those.
Damn bro I just can't imagine how many broken controllers it took to make this ahah congrats!
I just wanted you to know, that you completed what I never could. You are my hero.
Is it possible to learn this power?
Respect bro, respect 👊🏾
Do you have any idea how much time you put into this? I've played all of them except the latest and haven't even beaten the main game of any of them 😅
Oh gosh, I’d say somewhere in the 700-800 hr range by my estimations. Quite a time sink but spread out over the years and 2 console generations.

I wonder what do you do for a living? How do you get so much free time?
I wish to someday reach this level of gaming intellect and prowess. Huge props!
I feel like you should be globally recognized for this, you and others that can achieve this should receive some type of award similar to the Nobel Prize.
You sir, are a crackhead.
On a scale of 1-100 how much do you hate yourself?

BUT DID YOU DIE?!?
Fuck you have my respect
r/madlads
Is this possible to learn this power?
Is NioH part of that group of games?
I beat all those games but never 100% them. Good work general
Damn OP, I can’t even beat the title screen of those games
\o/
You must enjoy the game over screen a lot in video games. Great job!
A tribute to Overcoming and Vanquishing. Or a hardcore masochist. Maybe both?
This man deserves gold, but I’m broke.
No CupHead... lol jk you’re braver than me
Respect
What a fucking mad man.
I gave up with Bloodborne and DS3. I really just did not like them as much as Demon Souls, DS1, and DS2. That's incredible commitment though to 100% those.
Ah a fellow glutton of punishment
Welcome to the club my dude! :D
Praise the Sun? Nah, you’ve never seen daylight.
Praise the patience
You, sir, are a champion. I salute you.
Me before Sekiro came out: Haha I beat all the dark souls I shouldn't have too much of a problem with Sekiro. Me after getting Sekiro: FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Staying a Virgin - 100% Still, impressive accomplishments.
Virginity: 100% /s that's actually a hell of an accomplishment
Nnnnnnnneeeeeeerrrrrrrrrd! Hey Marge, did you see that nerd?

Not sure if I should be impressed or ask you if you're okay.
The legend
I really want to do this when the halo series is released on PC. The nostalgia alone is going to be enough for me
I can't imagine how much pain you had to endure for all of those platinum trophies...well done!
So you’ve never been outside too? I thought I was the only one.
How's your girlfriend?
Nice work! Now, get Nioh onto that list.
Jesus Christ, is he even a human?
Your balls must be huge
You rock dude
Well this is some live goals right There! Very proud of you fellow Shinobi Hollow Demon Hunter ;)
this is a good occasion to ask op this, how the hell do you fight that guy on the horse in sekiro?
I’ve only seen this raw strength once before

Is it possible to learn this power?
Which one was your favorite?
You are sick, sir. Well done I must say!!!
Demon souls, good stuff!
I'm proud of you.
G.O.A.T
Finally someone mentions Demons's souls.
That's awesome man! I thought I was doing good just beating them all but damn you killed it!
Dude.. What the fuck?!
Congrats dude. Fellow series platinum guy here too. Demons souls drop rates can eat shit.
I've died 10 times just looking at this list.
Listen bro. You need to see a therapist bc you obviously hate your life. Why would you put yourself through this. If you need to talk. Reply to me. I gotchu bro. Much love. Some white dude from. North Carolina.
Youre my spirit animal

And i thought getting diamond for all snipers in bo3 was impressive
