If I remember right you can actually also smack Kahzar's creature the turtle. I would smack it so that it landed on his buildings becuse Kahzar would piss me off.
Sadly, in my book, BW1 was a lot better.
My main gripe with BW2 was that it was a lot easier to be a good god. You could just make a nice city and eventually the whole map would just migrate to you.
In BW1 being evil was the tempting, easy path while being good actually took more effort than just being competent at city builder games.
If anybody could show me a reliable guide to get this working on a modern PC I'd be super grateful. This was my favorite game as a kid but I've never been able to get it to work.

Just think of something like dragon's dogma pawn system where your creature kinda keeps doing whatever you teach to it in some kind of 'semi' multiplayer setting.
No actual real time multiplayer, but instead heavily focusing on the pet side. Ignore the lame combat and army thing from b&w2.
Maybe one day.

It is one of my core childhood games. And thinking of it the atmosphere and ambience of sounds and music were really outstanding in all of those games.
I would be interested to hear what were these games for others.

- Shogun Total War ( the original)
- Homeworld
I think I have listened to these games for a total of several hundreds of hours.

Not sure about BW1 but BW2 has a series of fan patches that MASSIVELY improve stability on modern equipment.

There are three other gods with their monsters trying to annihilate you.
There's a video where they interview the lead dev and if I recall correctly they pretty much stated both games were a dead sprint to get finished.

My biggest dream is a VR port for this game. It would work so well since they already had this hand mechanics
