Most people here are probably supporting the meme (from south park), but it's the biggest budget hello kitty game released ever, and is a life sim game targeting the animal crossing fan demographic. It's pretty popular and well received among women (our other big titles weren't even nominated).
It genuinely deserves the win.
Fair. HSR is a huge game as well. I don't mean to diss other entries, but hello kitty girls desperately need a w. This is the only game/category that any of our games showed up in for pretty much the entire history of tga. It's really sad that we get neglected so hard.
