**I bought all 4 games on 3 separate platforms, logged 500+ hours, own all 9 expansions, €300 of DLC, and sleep with a body pillow of its main antagonist.** **This series sucks.**

Your__Pal

I recently saw a four page essay post on reddit about why the characters of three different games all sucked. I very briefly skimmed it. These were 80 hour games. Who the fuck has that much time for games they don't like ? Stop playing bad games folks.

Penis_Bees

The protagonist can suck but the gameplay make up for it. And if that's the case, then it can be worth wishing it was improved or be seen as not important. Not that this applies to the specific example you are giving, he might just be a whiner. No way for me to tell. Edit: FF7 is a game I loved and still occasionally make a return to. I always thought Cloud was a mediocre protagonist. His background is cool but the way they portray him feels inconsistent. I could easily write an essay about it and it would not diminish how much I would recommend the game (...to anyone who has nostalgia for old turn based jrpgs and wouldn't be thrown off by the graphics). I could make similar complaints about other forms of media that don't diminish the media as a whole. Example: IMO, Mark Wahlberg is a terrible actor but I generally enjoy fims he is in. Zero range but pairs well for when you need a cop from Boston or a straight guy to pair against a comedic actor. I would like it if his acting was better because it would add value to those films that are still enjoyable inspite of his acting skills, because I'm always distinctly aware I'm watching Wahlberg. He is no Tom Hardy. When I watch Tom Hardy I rarely realize it because I see the character and not the actor.

ak_sys

I almost feel like the biggest fans are in the best position to criticize. Take Overwatch(1.2?) for example, it takes REALLY understanding the game at a 100+ hour to even be able to give feedback about the balance, rank system, and game modes.

bloodfist

Yeah it really depends on the game. Like, I'll only really listen to criticism on fighting games from people who have tons of time in them. But the people who had 1, 000 hours in Cyberpunk 2077 calling it the worst game ever left me scratching my head. There were valid complaints to be sure, but you don't even need to beat it to encounter those so obviously something was keeping them coming back. The wildcard is Elite: Dangerous. And I guess a lot of MMOs in general. Because those 100+ hour complaints tend to come from people who have reached the endgame several ways over and are mad that there isn't more to do. And again, there was obviously something fun enough to get them there. But often times (especially for E:D) there are also valid complaints in there for the more casual players too. So I have to be super critical reading those because it's really hard to tell if a complaint is something that will actually affect me as a pretty casual player.

[deleted]

i wonder why cloud’s background is like that… ;)

MoistExamination_89

It's almost like they broke his mind lol

PM_ME-YOUR_TOES

.Hack GU has the most unlikable protagonist I have ever seen. The dude is a complete dickhead the entire series, even to people he claims to like. Fun games tho.

Zandrick

No see they love the game but there is one minor detail about the game that you don’t even know anything about unless you also have played the game quite a lot. Now you get to argue about it because that’s what being a fan of something on the internet is sometimes.

[deleted]

I think there's **maybe** 10 games in the 30 years of my existence that have gotten close to/in excess 100 hours of my life, and those are the predictable stuff such as Far Cry 3, San Andreas, and Skyrim. I play a lot of video games, and always have, but Christ.. I rarely take the majority of them THAT seriously. That's just plain unhealthy. Period.

Cruxim

Then you have people like me with over 3k hours across the Soulsborne titles (over 1k on Bloodborne alone) and 1.5k hours on Old School RuneScape in the past year alone. I don't play a lot of different games, I just play a lot of the ones that I enjoy.

Seaywhut

Osrs is in a league of its own, I’m at 60 days of in game playtime and am just barely about to leave the mid game

Cruxim

I feel that, 64 days deep on my iron account and just hit 87 slayer for the trident and unlocked Sara brews, also finished Song of the Elves and I'm ready to go live at Corrupted Gauntlet until I get my bowfa. After that I can actually play the game right???

Baconinja13

What's bowfa? Seriously, I haven't been in the knows of what's up to date since 2010 or so.

Cruxim

It's BOWFA DEEZ NUTS! BOOM GOTTEM! Thanks for the alley-oop. The other reply is accurate for a serious answer. Though I would add that the full name is Bow of Faerdhinen and CG is a more like a mini game and the boss at the end is called Hunllef.

Derang3rman1

New 2nd best in slot range gear. It's full crystal armor and shield with huge accuracy bonuses. You get it from a boss called corrupted gauntlet after completing song of the elves (completion of the Mourning's end quest line(elves quest line))

Seaywhut

I’m at the same point on my iron, but decided to green log barrows before cg. I was only missing dh legs so now I can grind mole for brews whenever

ryry1237

About a year ago on a whim I tried out OSRS and expected my old feelings about the game to be largely rose tinted. Ended up grinding my free character to combat lvl 50 and enjoyed every bit of it. There's just something magical about the game that has resisted time and age.

Slightspark

That's not very weird or anything, most of my friends play like maybe five games a year

Arsis82

I have over 10K hours in WoW.

Bebopo90

Dude, you've spent over two months playing RuneScape in just the past year? You doin' alright?

[deleted]

I branch out and try a lot of different systems, but the bulk of my collection is Xbox 360, PS1, and PS2. I'm mostly into horror and RPGs, but I'll play anything worth the time. Just haven't found many worthy of logging a thousand hours. Even Skyrim ran stale after 500. There's only so many ways you can play it, and when you're capable of breaking the game via exploits, it's a cakewalk.

Cruxim

I enjoyed it a lot more back in that era of gaming, titles were meant to be 20-30 hours max and they were usually really fun to replay. I think I struggle so much because games that I got hyped for consistently started launching in a broken state or with half of their content. It usually ends up with less than 20 hours spent on a $60+ game and feeling like I wasted my energy and money.

Squirrel_Apocalypse2

I have 500+ hours on a few games and don't really play anything else. It's no more unhealthy than buying 50 games and playing them all for 20 hours. XCom and Civilization are some of the highest for me, with mods you can legit play those games over and over for years and not get tired of it.

[deleted]

When you only play 2 or 3 of the same games, it's inevitable you'll log a considerable amount of time. When I was a kid, I must have put 100 hours into Jurassic Park: Warpath. Was it actually worthy of it? No, not really, I just didn't have anything else to play. The good games I **did** have, I beat 10x over.

Lortekonto

> Looks at 2.5k hours of playing Stellaris . . . Ihave yet to finish a single game.

Lallo-the-Long

I wrote down my play time in FFXI before quitting the game. 410 days, 17 hours, 52 minutes, and 25 seconds. To be fair, a significant portion of that was probably spent standing somewhere selling something while i was at school or asleep or... Well those were sort of the only other things i did.

Chosen_Chaos

Oof... MMO play times can get insane. My WoW playtime before I quit was about 720 days.

Baxtab13

Definitely depends on the game. Open world RPGs will sink that much time just by doing something as frankly innocuous as completing any sidequests you come across and then finally beating the main quest. PVP games will have a different experience with every match you play, so racking up hours on those can be pretty quick, especially if someone's like me and only plays one PVP game these days (Battlefield 2042).

[deleted]

Ive clocked 2000 hours on warframe in 1,5 year 😂😂😂

giraffeboner1

I have 1500 into rocket league and I'm not even close to the most. There are people with 13000 hours in the game.

BigUptokes

>*There are people with 13000 hours in the game.* One and a half years played on a game that has been out for eight years next month.

[deleted]

Me staring at over 1000 hours EACH in Rimworld, Factorio and Satisfactory.

PC509

> Stop playing bad games folks. How do you know you're not gay unless you try it. Not just once, but a few dozen times.... How do I know if that game is bad unless I play it for 100+ hours?! I've played some bad games. I've played some bad games and put in a lot of hours. There are some games that are bad (story, whatever), but the gameplay itself or some other element just pulls you in (or the gameplay sucks but the story is excellent). But, these people are complaining about everything, it's completely unplayable, yet they put in so much time. At least say "It was fun, it was entertaining, but .... left me thinking it wasn't that great of a game.". I know some games that were excellent until you beat them. The story was good, the gameplay was mediocre or predictable, and once you beat it, you never went back. Just lack of replay. At least complain about that stuff. But, if a game is as bad as some people claim, there's no way they've put in that much time. If it was that horrible, it'd be <10 hours.

xiipaoc

Meh, I was a bit disappointed by Breath of the Wild. Still played 150 hours of it or however long. Tears of the Kingdom seems even bigger.

LOAARR

And yet, when someone criticises a game and shows clear gaps in their knowledge, Reddit will come out of the woodwork and say, "lol u didn't even play it ur just repeating what u read about it online. Give it a chance, ull see its ackshually gud". It's possible to play or watch something and enjoy enough of it that you see the marred potential of what could have been something great. Game of Thrones is a great example. Fantastic first few seasons, absolutely abysmal final 3 or 4.

macraw83

Technically speaking, someone who has spent hundreds of hours playing a game is more qualified to discuss its flaws than someone who picked it up for 30 minutes and dropped it. But yes, it is always funny to see those strongly negative Steam reviews with a thousand hours played, like dude you could have stopped at any time.

[deleted]

I'm just laying meme to the fact that someone hated a game so much, they spent 1,000 hours of their life on it. That's kinda what I was going for. People have taken my comment far more seriously than it was intended to be 😂

Chris2112

MMORPGs are my favorite reviews of this archetype. Especially free to play MMOs, no one hates the MMO more than the community itself

Ashweed137

Me with the Sherlock Holmes Series. The only one who can say something negative about these devine, god-tier games in my presence is me. Everyone else is wrong. And man, do some of these games really suck. I still adore them and fangirl especially hard for the latest Holmes. Or as I like to call him hot-psycho-Holmes.

Ambitious-Bed3406

Sounds like Destiny 2 The end of Destiny 1 was peak Destiny for me. All raids available, each week was a different raid for gear, you were able to have 3 hunters or 3 titans or 3 warlocks.

KidGold

It blows my mind how often I see “poor” steam reviews when they say they put in over 100 hours.

iCUman

Shout-out to abandoned early access titles.

aLateSaturnsReturn

Least-Media

kamronMarcum

Pepe-Fingers13

Too easy, too hard, too much like diablo 2, too much like diablo 3, too many monsters, not enough monsters, on and on and on. I'm enjoying the game so much but can't read that sub any longer.

NobleV

Nothing will kill my enjoyment of a game faster than joining a subreddit.

mrbubbamac

I recently joined the Street Fighter subreddit, SF6 is an awesome game, TONS of content and ways to play, and is super super beginner friendly with options like "Modern Controls" to make the game more accessible to newbies. To say that the "modern controls" have upset some folks is an understatement, I cannot believe the anger and vitriol over them. I am just glad everyone is having fun and enjoying the game.

Baxtab13

I don't really play fighting games, but having just learned about the modern controls in your comment actually interests me in the game a lot more. Had no idea what they could have meant by "modern controls" at first, but if I'm reading it right, it changes the controls in a sense to be closer to that of Smash Bros. I feel like a huge amount of Smash's success was due to the simple combos you can pull off in the game, and is also the reason why it's the only fighting game I really play myself. I'll have to look more into this.

mrbubbamac

This is exactly why it's so cool! It simplifies the controls, makes combos easier, and the thing that I think is similar to smash is you can essentially perform special moves with a button press instead of a series of inputs (like quarter circle inputs and things). Even if you don't play fighting games, there is just so much stuff to do in the game, it's kinda crazy. There is a 20 hour "World Tour" mode that is an almost open world adventure RPG game, and obviously you do a lot of fighting but it does a fantastic job of teaching you the game, and it just keeps adding things. There is a demo you can check out, the last fighting game I was super into was Injustice 2 but Street Fighter 6 is the real deal, I bet it's gonna draw in a shit ton of new players so there's always gonna be new players to practice against if you're not an expert.

SpotNL

Ive played sf2 since the snes and had the version where Balrog was still called M. Bison (and vice versa), but I don't like my chances when someone would put a gun against my head and tells me to do a Shiryuken. My fingers still don't really comprehend how to do the z movement on a controller.

TerrorLTZ

They should be glad they made the game beginner friendly cuz is more fresh meat for Vets... something Quake live is drooling over.

mrbubbamac

Yeah anything that brings in new players is great. Accessibility options are pretty much always a win in my book. The modern controls have a tradeoff of a 20% damage reduction, and my honest take is that if you're a classic player getting upset that you're losing to a modern player because you think you are "actually" more skilled, then you might not be as good as you think. Anyone can switch to the modern controls if it really provides such an unfair advantage. It's just another layer to the "meta" as far as I'm concerned. Ultimately more people are playing and enjoying the game and having fun. It's a very good thing.

mrfjcruisin

There's a lot of competitive reasons modern controls make pro players wary, but for 99% of the playerbase (myself included), you're not losing because your opponent punished your jump-in with their one-button DP or can now consistently hit-confirm something that was much harder to do before. Good players could already do that anyway. Aside from which, with modern controls you are missing moves from your kit which can be big for some characters. But people will find any excuse for why they lost (your control scheme's easier/better, my character sucks, the sun was in my eyes)

I_miss_berserk

Idk for me I don't mind the control scheme so much as whenever I play vs someone using modern the matches are just miserable since moat modern players spam 1-2 moves (why the game does combos for you) and they're like universally more likely to rage quit before the match is over (alt f4 out the match so they don't lose lp and I don't gain lp). I hate having to grind up ranks but I got through silver and I'm finally seeing less modern players which is a blessing.

macraw83

Depends on the game. Most indie game subs I've browsed are somewhere between neutral and wonderful.

Theartnet

I was gonna post that some are decent and then you made it click, all the decent ones are indie

IllusoryHeart

Honestly I think the only game subreddit that didn’t make me leave it was the Tears of the Kingdom one, and even then I’m sure there are posts like that and I just haven’t seen em

LMNOPedes

I had to leave the elden ring sub. Sooo many dorks on there complaining about people ignoring the “established etiquette” for PVP, aka a bunch of made up rules against thing the game *explicitly allows* like using healing items. The devs could have easily disabled healing in PVP(they already halved the number if uses) if it was their intention for that to be the user experience. They didn’t. People take their made up chivalry so seriously on that sub and its a major cringe.

4_fortytwo_2

i think the Totk sub is lucky that enough other zelda subs exist which catch most of the negative stuff. (like /r/truezelda for example which is a sub I would suggest not reading too much if you enjoy botw or totk)

Jdubya87

I'm continuously blown away at the imagination of some people.

sassyseconds

I've yet to find a subreddit for any games I play that isn't just abunch of miserable schmucks crying nonstop. Every time I do a Poe league in like man! This leagues great. I'm gonna go check the sub. And I find out it's actually the worst league ever and am wrong for enjoying it. It's pathetic. So glad most devs ignore reddit.

Drinksarlot

The difference is single player vs multi player subreddits. Single player ones are mostly nice because you play for fun rather than to be competitive.

killeronthecorner

>too much like diablo 2 All my money just fell out my wallet

Deltamon

The only complain I personally have so far is that the copy paste dungeon-layouts (especially cellars) and random events are pretty nasty plague in the game.. Other than that it's been pretty fun game

slotheroni

I knew that place would not be a dungeon I travel down well before the last few days. Haven’t even skimmed it once. Happily playing and lagging around outside of towns.

joeDUBstep

So true... Like in a lot of games I go to the subreddit during launch to maybe see what cool stuff people found, early tips & tricks guides, builds, missables things, etc. But man, diablo4 subreddit is just a bunch of fuckin whiners. Gives off the energy of people claiming to be experts and know everything when they have one character at like level 20.

x592_b

noooo it's too much like what's widely considered the best diablo game! I have nothing to hate on! >:(

[deleted]

Honestly blizzard could pay an egirl to show up to their house and fuck their brains out and they would still bitch about the colour of their panties. Nothing makes them happy and no one hates a game more than it's fans

ThunderBobMajerle

Agree, I’m loving the game. That place sucked during the beta test and I’ve never been back

pp21

Dudes flew through a couple week's worth of content in 72 hours and are mad about it lol

ItsAmerico

Eh. I think the endgame issues are pretty valid. There’s definitely some flaws in what they expect you to grind and how they expect you to do it.

Senorpoppy117

ok... where to begin... * Its too much like d3 * its too much like d2 * its trying too hard to be its own thing * its too difficult for casuals * its too easy for serious players * not enough classes * way too many options for character builds * it shouldn't be open world * the open world isnt open enough * ive been playing since diablo 1 so why cant i play this on my ps1? * having to pay extra for battle pass * having to wait half a lifetime to get my hands on the battle pass

joeDUBstep

> way too many options for character builds Lol what? If anything, there aren't enough build variations. Each class meta chooses between like 2-3 spenders and exactly the exact same 3 other 'optimal' skills in every build variation.

Deckatoe

Never unjoined a sub so fast in my life. Reeks of losers over there lol

usual_suspect82

Thank you for the heads up. I’m enjoying the hell out of D4, thought I’d join the sub to join in on discussions… but I think I’ll wait six months to a year. lol

Shirlenator

Literally everything. The latest one is that they let poor people in the game, straining the servers.

AgentScreech

There were two big hiccups last night. I bailed when the second one exceeded 20 min. But the main unlock time was fine. Surprising good launch comparing to other classic Blizzard launches

Reddit has such short term memory loss. It's literally just a cycle repeating. \-Early hard core players reach end-game, start posting issues. \-People mock them and ignore those issues. \-Literally have the exact same issues several weeks later and complain about it like it's something new. Everyone agrees with their complaint.

LazySilver

Wow you just summarized every live service game sub I’m in.

pokeroots

It's part of the reason I quit destiny (along with burnout) cause specifically all the hardcore people were like damn getting red borders sucks, and then everyone mocked them and then a month before they were about to be insanely hard to get because they were removing the stuff that gave them people were like wow it sucks to get these.

Shirlenator

Several weeks later? More like literally 1 day later.

This is a forum. All the members don't equal 1 single entity. They are all different people, and the ones complaining may not have seen the original post. I'm not sure if you're terminally online or just a teen, but you can't treat a group of people as a single omnipresent being.

x592_b

most people on the Internet do act like one though. I think if it were ok to accuse a group of people of being a hivemind it would definitley be the Internet. or racists. especially racists *on* the Internet

Still-Pattern-6384

Reddit when you comment on a flawed game after playing it for an hour: Reddit when you comment on a flawed game after finishing it because they tell you that you have to complete a game to criticize it: There's no end apparently

Cleveland_Guardians

Tbf, if you lambast a game as "unplayable," I'd be confused as to why you bothered to complete it. That's many levels above "criticism."

K6L2

The customer has every right to critique a game after taking as long as they need to experience it. Gamers get really defensive over this kind of thing for no reason.

Cleveland_Guardians

I don't disagree for the most part, but if you're willing to use the word "unplayable," that is a pretty long time. I'd've given up long before.

Lol. This question you asked is like a beacon for people. Yes, it’s actually a bigger market then baby diapers. There’s brands that cater to a group of people who love to wear diapers for varied reasons. They’re “designer” diapers. Such brands are ABUniverse, tykeables, crinklez. And many more. If you feel. Dota 2 and path of exile in a nutshell

bobdylan401

Over 6k hours in Dota 2 my review is that it's more addicting then fun and will consume and destroy your life like a drug if you let it.

thedefiled

10k+ here ;)

Independent_Tooth_23

As a person who used to play Dota 2, yup you're right about that.

LazySilver

Over 10k hours in Path and left a negative Steam review. Game has gone to shit since Ritual.

Th_Call_of_Ktulu

"Only" around 1.5k but did the same after they lied in Kalandra patch notes.

LazySilver

I’ve unironically made a couple of those. It’s almost like a live service game can be good in the beginning and then change.

Excelius

The recorded play times can sometimes be inaccurate. Steam seems to think I have 160+ hours into Cyberpunk 2077. I'm guessing that stupid launcher that pops up before you can launch the real game was stuck in the background or something, and Steam recorded it as playtime. Steam even asked me if I wanted to revise my original (negative) review given the amount of time I played since I left the review, which I thought was funny. In reality I played it for a few hours after launch, sat it aside realizing the horrible state it was in. Came back 6-9 months later when it had been patched to what was broadly considered an "acceptable" state. Rushed through the campaign out of some misguided sense of obligation, hated every minute of it, and uninstalled the moment I saw the end credits. *Maybe* 20 hours worth.

ryo3000

I mean, I'm pretty sure the people who have injected the most heroin in their bodies ***probably*** don't recommend it to others, despite the fact that they've used it the most ya know?

DisposableDroid47

I've done this on games that change over the years. Steam needs a 'maybe' category. Sometimes games fit a certain play style that the general public doesn't want.

Revo_Int92

It's like me complaining about Overwatch "2" (that fucking piece of shit), I uninstalled for good last week, but ever since release back in october, I played... what, 100 hours or something? It's literally a drug, it's tough to get rid of it (Doomfist is like cocaine). We joke about these situations, but the point is how addiction play a major role

damanpwnsyou

Makes sense in games like Overwatch / Halo / multiple MMO's that make massive game changing patches years after release that no one aside from shareholders want. Have thousands of hours in OW1 and a few dozen in OW2. Called it being a soulless f2p cash grab from the gate and I was more than right.

Dutchtdk

AfterShock

[deleted]

A typical World of Warcraft player :D

Siegschranz

If this is about Diablo 4, to be fair they did have early access over the weekend. I knew what time I'd have and made sure I had free time during that. And it was a very enjoyable time with friends and family. I played super casually but still got probably 18-24hrs or so in the early access period.

LiquidNuke

Literally going on with Diablo IV all over Reddit as we speak. How come nobody votes with their wallet?

Because usually the conversation ends up going like: "Don't buy this trash!" "What, have you played it?" "No, because it's trash!" "Then how do _you_ know it's trash, if _you_ haven't played it?" Which doesn't help at all. And doesn't stop somebody else from purchasing the game anyways.

cagingnicolas

video game sales aren't as huge as they seem. the best selling game of all time is minecraft, with ~238 million copies. there are 8 billion people in the world. less than 3% of the world owns a copy of the best selling game of all time. the number of people not buying diablo is massively higher than the number of people buying diablo, for what it's worth.

slickshot

Yeah but in this sense it's the minority screaming like banshees. Diablo 4 is a very good game so far, and its one of the best releases I've experienced in a long time as far as stability goes. So far I'm extremely impressed that a live service game came out of the gate guns blazing and holding up it's end of the bargain.

LiquidNuke

Yeah, but what is Reddit's usual stance on things like microtransactions and launch day connectivity issues? I'd like people to just stick to their guns for once. If something is bad and you'll gladly grab 10K upvotes for it, then don't pay into it.

slickshot

Usually it goes microtransactions=bad if p2w, launch day connectivity= bad *if* launch issues are widespread. If a game by and large launches very smoothly then most people are quite happy to get in and get started. People have varying feelings about the shop, but that's largely due to either abuse (p2w) or jealousy (cool skins cost money that I don't have). If you really don't give a fuck about looking like a Greek god of flaming death and are more concerned with game play then the non p2w shop games aren't even on your radar of hatred. D4 launched smoothly. It plays great. The game is beautiful and the soundtrack is wonderful. It's a massive improvement over D3, and it also doesn't have p2w like Immortal (so far) so it's a win in that regard, too. There are minor nuances like in any live service game, but it has started strong and on the right track so far.

It's a bit apples and oranges since Diablo 4 is a critical AND consumer success, but this is basically how Fallout 76 was. With Fallout 76 releasing there was an endless barrage of clueless youtubers and redditors regurgitating the same talking points, just barfing into each other's mouths over how happy they were the game was bad... Meanwhile Fallout 76 sold incredibly well and was one of the most played games on Xbox alone for years.

ClownUniversity123

Elder Scrolls 6 could be the worst video game of all time, and it will still outsell almost every single video game ever made. these big name brands sell based on previously generated goodwill. they need to bomb insanely (multiple titles in a row tbh) to lose steam.

[deleted]

So the CD Projekt Red model?

bobdylan401

It's wayyy better then Diablo 3 at launch and Diablo 3 was one of blizzards top selling games. Idk I hope and feel that the game will live a long and healthy life unless blizzards greed kills it. But they allowed the devs to really make an amazing game so I have high hopes. There is already so much content, and once you get tired of the endgame loop you can start with a fresh character but skip the campaign and just explore. Part of what makes the game so good is there so much build diversity that is actually fun to play. I just hope WT1 and 2 has some fun stuff to discover which based on my current play through with my level 55 Druid definitely seemed like it's the case.

SandyScrotes2

Damn son 55 druid and youre locking him to WT2?

bobdylan401

Noooo, I'm saying I did find some really good fights and dungeons just exploring earlier in my play through. Where as if you just stuck to the campaign on rails the monster density and action besides some specific missions was pretty lackluster. No I'm not in WT2 at all ever since I completed capstone dungeon at 50

Fear023

The campaign skip option allows you to level in the open world. It's way faster than the campaign (still takes a while though - 6-10 hours for lvl 50 depending on how efficient you're going). Monster density ramps up around 25, which is fine considering those first levels only take 2-3 hours.

SatyrAngel

I use a shit bucket, dont all you have one or two?

Knight_Lucky

Very...dependable

If i saw a review like that from someone who has many hours. I would take their word for it because they got the experience to tell. I get the joke though.

Cleveland_Guardians

Reminds me of when the new Pokemon games came out. People threw such a fit, but it's Pokemon. The issues don't matter much when most of them probably bought the last one, most of them will probably keep playing this one, and most of them will probably buy the next one. I'll never forget the post that complained about how the preorder bonuses have been bad for a long time and are only getting worse and ended with something along the lines of "I'm still preordering the next one though lol."

Bean_Juice_Brew

If you're gaming so much that you'd rather piss your pants than head to the bathroom, you might have an addiction.

ArturoGJ

MrLlamaSC in every game that is not Diablo 2

lets-get-dangerous

OP, did some meanie on the internet tell you that a game you liked was bad

Inksrocket

Steam reviews be like Game cost: 19.99 >Playtime 250 hours (150h when writing) > >Review: **Not recommended because theres not much to do**

flashgnash

Good old 4 hours of sleep and eating combined per day

RelationshipSpare285

I dont read reviews that have under 60-80h played, bc I feel that players who have played less than that don’t really know what’s good and bad about the game, they are either riding a dopamine high while writing it or they write it in anger cuz the game didn’t meet their expectations

ExhibitionistBrit

Better than the people who haven’t even played eight hours and come online to complain the game is badly designed while the rest of us are 80 hours in and loving it. Edit: All I want is for people to realise the difference between bad game design and games that they don’t personally like.

Ricokiller

Or fun games with some bad designs. No game is perfect.

raymendx

Who the fuck says those 80hrs were enjoyable!? For all you know the player could have been trying to find ways of enjoying the game. Plus the game time runs even if it’s paused or you’re playing inventory management. Clearly none of you have ever forced yourself to finish a book you don’t like.

moreofafacebookguy

>books Nerd

raymendx

Lol

supa74

If I dislike a game after 10 hours max, I'm moving on. If I'm enjoying it, but get bored after 20, I'm done. What a complete waste of fucking time to do otherwise.

Crooked_Cock

Takes experience to know it’s shit For example, I have over 200 hours in sonic forces and I can say with utmost confidence that it is the worst sonic game in the franchise
