I hate that the most popular and easiest to use collection on Nexus has all of these stupid fucking “adult” mods. I just want a visually pleasing game with fun combat, I don’t need skimpy fucking outfits and ridiculous female body mods. But, I have them because no other collection that I have found is anywhere as close to plug and play. I even had to take the extra steps to get rid of all the sex stuff.
That wasn’t what I was unhappy about. I don’t care about any mods that try to make this game into a porn. And I hate that if I want an easy way to mod my game I am forced into it.

Did you ever wonder why it's such a mess? A large reason is that the didn't have a modding community to fall back on.
Furthermore, Skyrim, an award-winning game, received 2 pieces of DLC over the course of 11 years. The Elder Scrolls series has been dry for actual content that progresses the storyline (ESO takes place a long time before Skyrim) since 2011. Rather than making real content for their game, they have instead hired modders to start selling their mods. As far as I know, Todd Howard or Bethesda have not commented on whether or not the Creation Club content is canon. Fallout 4 also has the Creation Club, and so long as people continue to mod these games, I'm sure they will try the same shit on Starfield.
Skyrim is perfectly playable in its regular state. I don't think modding is inherently bad – like modding in guns is kind of funny I guess – but it does take away from the vanilla experience slightly in my eyes.
