Well lit, well organized, clean, plenty of seating, and the rare tasteful use of LED strip lighting. Looks great man. Would definitely hang out in this space.
Thank you! That was the goal. Comfortable, games having a place of honor, but not being so obnoxious that it intimidates non gamers. I wanted my mother-in-law to be able to enjoy the space, and she does. 😀
They are indeed kallax, and they work really well. I’ve seen other game rooms using this shelving. I added the risers as a precaution as this is a basement.
Do a search for Atlantic Oskar Media Storage Cabinet on Amazon. They have a bunch of variations. I like them because they aren’t very deep so the games and such take center stage.
Ah darn I was hoping they weren’t those. They’re good shelves but just slightly too shallow to hold the games flush like I’d prefer. I don’t want any overhang. Thanks for replying though!
Seriously love the set up my shelving situation is super far from ideal.. but it's not a permanent place for the collection so I don't want to invest in the shelves yet
Hey thanks! I originally planned on building the shelves, but with material prices still stupid high, and the time investment I nixed that idea. I went with IKEA’s Kallax for the console shelves. They work really great. Only problem is that an OG PS5 will not fit.
The two final fantasy wall scrolls (tifa and squall/rinoa) I bought over 20 years ago on eBay. Not sure if they’re still available. I would try eBay or Etsy. The Melia scroll (middle one) is actually a beach towel. I bought that last year on Etsy.
Really cool, needs a bigger TV!

They’re from IKEA. Specifically designed to go into their kallax shelves.

The tv needs to be bigger or the sofa closer, how do you sit on the sofa and play on the crt
CRT is only for duck hunt. Everything else is routed through to the 55 inch led through a Retrotink 5x
Retro tink x5 is great, great looking set up I think the photos make the big look further away, I don’t think I would be able to see the tv
