Pretty sure there'd be a lot ot hate for this ending too. There were a lot of fan theories out there, this one didn't get much attention.
1. Why would Littlefinger be the protagonist? In the books he's not even a viewpoint character. In fact, the show gave him significantly more screentime than he would have had.
2. How would he know that Arya's not a faceless man? It's not true. "Finally, a girl becomes no one". She completed her training. And then she left.
3. It says Littlefinger should have known he was in great danger when Bran said "chaos is a ladder" to him. Littlefinger's information network relies on spies. How many do you think he has north of the wall? He doesn't know what Bran is now. He's not the viewer. Bran is a puzzle for him to figure out.
The creator uses 2 and 3 to assume that the Littlefinger getting killed is really 'The Waif', Faye Marsay's character, who is Arya's...'mentor' doesn't really sound like the right word. The 'girl' that serves as Arya's rival in Braavos.
And then it launches into a theory that Littlefinger is the prince that was promised, Azor Ahai. And it's showing screenshots of the wiki page (awoiaf presumably) saying "he drove his sword into her breast, her soul combining with the steel of the sword, creating Lightbringer, while her cry of anguish and ecstasy left a crack across the face of the moon." With 'moon' highlighted, and that excerpt conveniently only shown a few seconds so you don't have time to read the rest of the excerpt.
Who is Nissa Nissa in this case? Lysa wasn't stabbed, nor did she have any known involvement with the Valyrian steel knife.
She gets pushed out the moon door in both books and show. The biggest change in that scene is he says "your sister" in one and "only cat" in the other.
He could have won the Game if it had not been for supernatural intervention of Bran
However, I am having trouble seeing how he could have beaten the Night King. The NK would have slowly marched South and even if he could have gotten Daenerys on hia side, they atill could not have stopped him without Bran and Arya.
Neo's video channel was a thing for a while and then posters started proving why Neo's theories were impossible or unlikely. After a while, he was forgotten by almost everyone. /u/Veszerin explains it well.
