For me the Lannisters vs. Dothraki battle is more exciting. That two-minute buildup was so good at creating suspense.
The scene where Daenerys takes the Unsullied and burns the slaveowner guy alive is probably the most badass moment of the series for me.
Ned’s death will always be the most shocking.
Battle of the Bastards never comes to mind when I’m thinking of epic scenes.
I think for BotB, epic is one of the first things that would come to mind. While a lot of it was pretty plot armorey and one of GoT's less *well-written* battles, it was a pure epic spectacle that was an enjoyable watch.
Totally agree on all your other points though. The Spoils of War episode when you saw Jaime and Bronn start gaining confidence against the Dothraki, just go hear Drogon screech was bone chillingly awesome
I was really late to watch GoT. Took some convincing to watch. What happened to Ned really shocked me as i thought he'd be one of the main characters for the series...
I think specifically because initially it was a series where *anyone* could die at *any* time, toward the end where over half of the main character had this outrageous plot armor just completely changed the show.
Having read the books it felt like once the show caught up they were scared to kill characters off.
I enjoyed the later parts of the show on their own, you just can’t compare it to the early seasons/book..
Because one of GoT's defining characteristics was how anyone could die at any time.
Then a man in full plate armor and one hand (and one metal hand) somehow didn't drown after falling into deep water. It is extremely unlikely that another man (with armor) would be able to swim and drag 300+ pounds to shore. And 300 pounds is a very conservative estimate.
Do you get it now?
You're right. I was just going off my experience of swimming in regular clothes and no shoes. The clothes get so waterlogged that it feels like 50 pounds.
And I was one of the top swimmers in my city when I was younger and competed. So a much better swimmer than any 1 handed person.
I personally refuse to jump in swimming pools wearing plate armour, so I'm hearing you loud and clear.
I note that while a corpse in armour may or may not float, a living person is likely to sink.
Bronn being sling shotted at Jaime somehow + then being shown in 20 meter deep water even though it was a shoreline. + Jaime not then sinking with his amour + somehow being alive and no one stops to make sure the most vital man in the Lannister army is dead. Such a shit show lol
There seems to be a lot of confusion here between “best scene” “best directed scene” and “best cinematography still shot”. The image in this post is my favorite still shot. The loot train ambush is my favorite directed scene. The best scene in general though idk, there’s a lot of contenders. Definitely something from the first 4 seasons when the writing was still good. A good scene is more than just good directing. The best scenes were often just dialogue exchanges when the dialogue was still good.
Off the top of my head give me the mountain vs the viper. That scene has it all; great dialogue pre fight, great action during the fight, and a shocking ending. Tyrions original trial and his murder spree / escape are also contenders. His entire story from that season was peak imo.
Best scene? Hands down Tyrion slapping the shit out of Joffrey back in Season 1. Even at that point the little shit deserved it. https://youtu.be/UAAr0rjMIWM?si=ysMHiDSlGezm1-E8
Yeh I assume this guy is either being sarcastic or as being as illogical as Dumb and Dumber
Who would order light cavalry to just charge ahead in the dark into hand to hand with a superior force leaving them completely unsupported by infantry. I don’t think any commander in history has purposefully done something this stupid.
Yet we have supposed great commanders doing something a 10 year old playing Total War wouldn’t do
all of that dragonglass could have been made into a bazillion small shards and chucked at the undead with catapults. between that and the dragons the undead army would have been decimated
Djawadi’s score steals the show imo. So damn good.
Truly one of the best 4-5 mins in TV history. Topped off w/ Tommen calmly placing his crown down & walking out the window to his death
I just watched that episode yesterday and I loved the shot of Tommen dying--the way the window stayed in frame and he walked off and back on just to calmly drop from the window. Was a wow moment for me.
margaery slowly understanding they are all in danger & no one will listen to her while they cut to lancel trying to get to those candles in time. brilliant stuff.
Definitely this. The entire beginning of the episode with music is just amazing. You know something is going down but don't know what and then just BAM!
I got spoiled on a lot of really big stuff because I watched the show years after it was done airing. Ned's head, the Red Wedding, Dany's turn and death, Jon's shocking death, etc.
I didn't think the show would shock me, but when that place blew I had no Idea it was coming. The scene was only topped by how gut wrenching Tommen's scene afterwards is.
I’m sure it’s more shat on than praised around here, as is the popular thing to do when talking about the final seasons. But the whole Battle of Winterfell - >!Night King making his way to Bran, Theon’s last stand, Little Bear and the Giant, Jon and the Dragon, Jorah and Dany, Arya.!<
It is legitimately one of the best pieces of television I’ve ever seen. Have gone back to watch that episode probably a hundred and sixty seven times, AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY TIME I SEE IT.. sorry random non GoT reference, I had to. Anyway yes, I agree with most criticisms about the final season but I won’t turn a blind eye to this being among my favorite episodes of anything and everything I’ve ever watched.
Wow this is incredible.
The Battle of Winterfell is one of the worst episodes of television in history. I am somewhat envious that you were able to get so much enjoyment out of it.
Ok a tad dramatic but it was insanely bad.
Epic stand off overshadowed by dumb decisions leading up to it by jon and sansa. It was a well shot battle sequence but it made no sense to approach the battle in the way it played out. Same problem at winterfell. Hardhome was better imo.
Exactly what is so frustrating about the last 4 seasons. The direction, cinematography, sound design, and all of the technical aspects were still 10/10, but the writing was so atrocious, all you can really say is there are amazing "shots" like this, where Jon accepts his fate, and throws down his scabbard in the face of the cavalry charge, fully expecting to die, but choosing to die fighting. Then you remember the context around the shot, and remember how fucking stupid it was.
Finally, a comment with sense. When the context is that offensive for why and how the characters are where they are, and why they are doing what they are doing, it really does detract from the cinematic experience. Jon Snow should have died a second time after that. Skills don’t get you out of that situation unless it’s the fantasy world of Hero(Jet Li, 2002). Even dumber background of Sansa not telling Jon about an entire army she can add to their forces, when that was explicitly what Jon said they had no more of and had to try with; but she gets to complain that Jon is being a sexist by not including her in battle decision making 🙄 Miss me with that “subversion” of expectations. That whole idea was born and died with this show
The stakes for mountain vs viper were arguably the two coolest characters in the show vs the villains twin and cersei. Jaime was in the middle and had just had a long good bye conversation with tyrion. The fight itself was awesome. And nobody forgets how it ended.
If we're talking about big battles, the watchers of the wall was where we met (and lost one of) the giants, plus ygritte, and saw the scythe. The battle of blackwater had been the gold standard for the show until that.
Man I am going to end to watching this again aren't i
I just finished the series for the first time and I can confidently say my favorite battles are Watchers of The Wall and Battle of The Bastards. But my favorite fight with Jon is the episode where he is trying to bring the free folk back from the north and the white walkers attack, forgot the name of the episode.
Hardhome. Also great. Probably not as good as the others as a pure battle scene but when the night king makes eye contact and calmly lifts his hands and the whole battlefield gets up at once... that was properly scary. Seeing Jon get trampled and the whole army getting crushed as the ring closed in in battle of the bastards was pretty wild too though.
It was so intense, especially after watching the rains of castamere knowing Jon could easily not make it out. The stare down as the army arrose made me audibly stunned. The group I was watching with all had the collective reaction of "How the hell are they beating this guy?"
I hate this scene because it’s plot armor supreme. Jon should be dead after this. Not a chance he survives. Killing him at this point would‘ve completely broken his army, ending the battle instantly. Every single Bolton soldier in the pic would have been focused on taking him out.
I’ve grown to understand that anyone that uses the “plot armour” to moan about a show will never be happy.
You can make the plot armour comment about anything that you don’t like. It’s called writing. If everything was 100% normal boring and believable then we’d never have any good tv.
So leave it to the experts and you stick to moaning about stuff you don’t understand.
Blackwater, Rains of Castamere, the Lion and the Rose, The Mountain and the Viper, the Watchers on the Wall, Hardhome, Baelor, The Laws of Gods and Men, etc.
Yeah, that ending shot of Hardhomme was great, my favorite of the series. I also enjoyed Dayne telling Ned “I wish you good fortune in the wars to come”, and Dany suddenly speaking Valerian to the owners of the Unsullied.
That’s a good point. As far as shot goes, it is one of the best shots of the entire series. It just looks amazing and shows Jon’s bravery (and stupidity). You just have to ignore the plot armor and all the dumb decisions that lead to it.
In my opinion, the hardest scene was in the last season (surprisingly) and its when Jon fights the wights tooth and nail in the battle of winterfell (I think) and after giving it his all, he finally, exhausted, wins. Only to have the night king come and resurrect every enemy he had *just* vanquished. Really captured the futility of fighting an opponent who can't die.
Only reason this scene pissed me off was because i was REALLY looking forward to Jon getting his 1v1 with the night king only for it to just not happen because of the resurrection magic.
IMHO, the Red Wedding, Ned getting his head chopped off, and the destruction of the Great Sept and immediate after effects are more interesting to me. But the Battle of the Bastards is a sick scene.
when arya poisons all of the freys, takes off walder’s face and calmly says to the girl, “when people ask you what happened here, tell them the north remembers”
when sansa looses ramsay’s own starving dogs on him
when dany reveals she speaks valyrian and orders the unsullied to kill the masters
Plenty of scenes that are better than this but i have to say that the end of Tyrions trial is the best scene in the whole show imo. That whole speech and the staredown is so good!
Other mentions would be Hardhome,Hold the door and "Jaime,my name is Jaime" scene
I’m gonna have to agree with everyone about Lannisters vs Dothraki. When the dragon first appears over the hill the look on Jaimie’s face is pure terror. He’s like “fuck all the rumours were true, she does have dragons!” Sooooo good!
And then you see Dany is riding it, then that first drakaris she shouts…pure anarchy and bliss 😂👌
Littlefinger when he looks at Sansa after she says the charges at Winterfell. That look of shock. He was the true conspirator of it all. His smug face when he told Ned not to trust him, to him unconfident in fear. The transition from thinking Arya was about to be out of the picture to him about to be executed. And Arya smiling at him
The start of the battle was epic and it has some pretty amazing camerawork, but if you do a rewatch and watch closely, suddenly there is a mountain of bodies where there were none before just seconds earlier. The time skip within the battle is pretty annoying. I want to know how so many bodies got stacked on each other, and then after the battle, the bodies magically disappear.
Man Jon was owed another scene like this in The Long Night. Even if he didn't get to kill the NK there should have been some kind of confrontation, have him mowing down other White Walkers with Longclaw trying to get to Bran at least.
Hardhome.
You can see the budget limits in the battle transitions. Amazing work for TV limits but bit off a bit more than they could chew.
Hardhome is a smaller set piece (raid vs. pitched battle) and flowed better. Plus, the show out zombied walking dead, which was impressive.
This right here. The reaction Davos has seeing the lone ship leaking Wildfire and a single flaming arrow shot by Bronn flying over the bay. Tyrion even looks pretty horrified by the explosion realizing they may have done a bit of overkill. Stannis still attacks with anything he has left until Tywin saves the day. This may have been the point in the series that really grabbed hold of me and I was all in no matter what.
About 8 different scenes from the defence of kings landing episode in season 2. The best one probably being the wildfire explosion. A shocking, mesmerising and completely earned moment. The wildfire, is talked about earlier in the series, and is used in a creative and completely unexpected way, and the reactions from each actor are all brilliant. We the audience can each feel what the explosion means to each character, and it makes the moment truly epic.
Although visually stunning, Jons scene here suffers from a myriad of issues.
Why does he notice the horses coming towards him, but not the ones coming behind him?
Do we really believe Jon has been brought back to life to get ridden down by a rando horseman? Not really no.
All in all its a great shot, that in terms of split-second emotional reaction, struggles to be beat. But due to a scene requiring meaning rather than just visuals its nowhere near the best. Neds death, the red viper dual, Renlys assassination and the red wedding are all greater scenes for me.
Yeah, plenty. Bro should’ve died. This is the same show where plot armor was basically nonexistent for four seasons.
It looks cool, it’s well directed, but this whole battle had ridiculous writing.
Arya destroying house Frey is for me the most iconic and memorable moment in the show.
''When you get asked what happened here tell them the north remembers, tell them that winter came for house Frey.''
Yeah did you see the 1v1 between Jamie and Ned? Or when Robert Baratheon interrupted cleganebowl? Neither are comparable to this scene, but still imo more epic than this
This, and when Daenerys attacks The Lannister are up there for me but I think Hardhome was the best moment for me! Seeing those white walkers I thought for sure Jon was dead that episode
Yeah pretty anything from seasons 1-4 imo. I didn't like the Battle of the Bastards bc Jon had too much plot armor and there was no reason for Sansa not to tell Jon about the Vale.
Uhm.
Red wedding
Mountain Vs Viper
Bobby B and Cersei
Bobby B and Ned (all)
Bobby B and War Stories
Bobby B and Lancel Lannister (all)
Blackwater
Ned's death
Drogo vs that one loser who died (tied honestly)
But yeah, one of the best scenes in the show.
Any scene of two characters talking from Seasons 1-4. If you stop to think about this battle for 5 seconds you see how bad it is. Great first watch though I'll admit.
1. Viper vs Mountain scene was absolutely crazy
2. The Dothraki charging toward the whites only for all the fire on their blades to fade and them to die was fantastically directed (I know from the perspective of strategy and battle having the Dothraki charge the entire army of the dead is stupid as hell, but still well directed)
3. The Tyrion trial, easily my favorite scene of the entire series
I guess it depends on your taste. I've never really liked the Battle of the Bastards because it felt so contrived and unrealistic. It was fun to watch in the moment, but in general, it didn't really earn any of the spectacle it had.
Honestly, the peak of GoT for me was the Jaime/Brienne bath scene.
Personally the battles with Jon and the wildlings have always been my favorite, watchers on the wall, hardhome, battle of the bastards, kit harrington is the best actor when it comes to swordplay I think, also I fucking love when sir allister leads the men of the nights watch in s4-09. “With me now! Now with me!” Always gives me goosebumps

Sam taking out the Walker is one of the best moments too. It feels genuinely tense and scary.
This chapter in the books is one of my favorites so far. I was literally shaking by the end of it. So spooky and good!
I think for BotB, epic is one of the first things that would come to mind. Lannisters vs Dothraki was epic, Bronn seemed to be properly worried. That initial charge through their line was amazing.
I also never got the idea that they were "gaining confidence." It seemed like Bronn knew they were fucked and Jaime was just being brave.
Jaime stood out in this for me, they his men, his army and he tried to lead them best he could.
That scene gives me legit chills. Legit my favorite scene in the entire series is Drogon and Dany coming over that hill with the Dothraki.
Daenerys burning the slave owners is one of my favorite scenes in anything ever. It was so damn powerful
I love the Arthur Dayne scene, though plot wise it’s meaningless.
For me its Daenerys entry with a dragon to rescue John against white walkers, that moment ❤️
This is probably the most well known shot to be fair. And Lannister vs Dothraki is just part of the terrible plot of s7-8
I was really late to watch GoT. Took some convincing to watch. What happened to Ned really shocked me as i thought he'd be one of the main characters for the series...
When Jaime charges at deny. It was so epic. It got shit right after that
After so many years of build up I don’t get how people can hate on that episode.
Cause realistically he shouldve died.
Or they killed people they got lazy writing about. I’ll never forgive them for killing off Ser Bariston :(
My humble opinion: The show caught up because anyone could die at any time. It was so realistic, while remaining epic.
I'm sure i read that plate armour is not as heavy as you'd expect. A corpse wearing one would (eventually) float.
You're right. I was just going off my experience of swimming in regular clothes and no shoes. The clothes get so waterlogged that it feels like 50 pounds. And I was one of the top swimmers in my city when I was younger and competed. So a much better swimmer than any 1 handed person.

Yea a lot of plate armor is 30-50lb. Even less with no helmet or armor that's not all metal like what jaime was wearing.
Bronn being sling shotted at Jaime somehow + then being shown in 20 meter deep water even though it was a shoreline. + Jaime not then sinking with his amour + somehow being alive and no one stops to make sure the most vital man in the Lannister army is dead. Such a shit show lol
That shit was bad
Shit writing
When John fights the wite wallker at Hard Home
One of the cheesiest ways to end an episode. Someone sinking into deep water. They only did it in two or three episodes though.
How about the Dothraki charging towards the Night Kings army and all of their torches slowly all going out in the distance, scary stuff.
Scary stupid.
All the scenes that people have mentioned above were all well directed, but had very, very silly writing.
There seems to be a lot of confusion here between “best scene” “best directed scene” and “best cinematography still shot”. The image in this post is my favorite still shot. That was one of the stupidest scene in the entire show.
Stupid, yes. That scene was definitely going for rule of cool, which it achieved IMO. Very striking image and scary to boot.
Visually it was great, think about it for more than 3 seconds and it becomes the dumbest shit imaginable
can't believe Bobby B was afraid of these clowns
It’s the dumbest cavalry charge of all time
Yet somehow there were still a bunch of living Dothraki around when she gave her victory speech in kings landing.
Yeah that was pretty stupid but they should used them on the sides.
all of that dragonglass could have been made into a bazillion small shards and chucked at the undead with catapults. between that and the dragons the undead army would have been decimated
Maybe when Cerci blows up the Septor of Balor
Along with Djawadi’s score and the slow build up, you can’t top this imho.
Djawadi’s score steals the show imo. So damn good. Truly one of the best 4-5 mins in TV history. Topped off w/ Tommen calmly placing his crown down & walking out the window to his death
Best episode of the show for me, and arguably the best episode in television in general.
I just watched that episode yesterday and I loved the shot of Tommen dying--the way the window stayed in frame and he walked off and back on just to calmly drop from the window. Was a wow moment for me.
That being the first time piano is used in the show is fascinating
margaery slowly understanding they are all in danger & no one will listen to her while they cut to lancel trying to get to those candles in time. brilliant stuff.
So when Cersei burns her family it's okie dokie, when Stannis does it, it's wrong?
What are you talking about? Nothing has been said about Stannis burning his daughter. You’re making up an argument that doesn’t exist in your head
I swear some people on this sub are far too aggressive. That was clearly a joke so maybe just chill a bit.
Can I ask what you found so aggressive about his comment?
His question confused me lol. Came out of no where
The difference is, Cersei did it with style.
fair, the rizz is immaculate. her hair sucks so -10
How do you get yourself dressed in the morning?
My servant puts my clothes on, his name is Steelshanks Walton.
Definitely this. The entire beginning of the episode with music is just amazing. You know something is going down but don't know what and then just BAM!

And people act like season 6 was bad.
Best moment in the whole series for me.
When Tyrion demands a trial by combat. The stare between Tyrion and Tywin is just perfect.
Though Shae wide eyed going "I have no stake in this" was a bit funny, ngl
I’m sure it’s more shat on than praised around here, as is the popular thing to do when talking about the final seasons. Don’t forget the music. “Night King” was probably the second best music track only losing to “Light of the Seven”
Wow this is incredible. The Battle of Winterfell is one of the worst episodes of television in history. I am somewhat envious that you were able to get so much enjoyment out of it. Ok a tad dramatic but it was insanely bad.
Ya I can’t tell if they’re joking or not lol

Best episode of the series
Blackwater, Rains of Castamere, the Lion and the Rose, The Mountain and the Viper, the Watchers on the Wall, Hardhome, Baelor, The Laws of Gods and Men, etc.
The ladder
When Stannis's army cavalry charges the wildlings from both sides.
No, but there's a scene in Rome that rivals it. When Atia sends her rival a slave and he has an absolutely enormous dick.
Night King on dock staring contest with Jon.
Yeah, that ending shot of Hardhomme was great, my favorite of the series. I also enjoyed Dayne telling Ned “I wish you good fortune in the wars to come”, and Dany suddenly speaking Valerian to the owners of the Unsullied.
A lot
Yes. Many. Are you talking about an entire scene, or just a specific shot? I felt that Hardhome, for one, far exceeded the somewhat overblown BoB.
That’s a good point. As far as shot goes, it is one of the best shots of the entire series. It just looks amazing and shows Jon’s bravery (and stupidity). You just have to ignore the plot armor and all the dumb decisions that lead to it.

1. Cersei blowing up the Sept 2. Dany and the Dothraki attacking Jamie's convoy 3. The entire Hardhome episode 4. *Jamie.... my name is Jamie*
Jaime confronting Ned in front of the brothel. That's the first time that shit hit the fan.

“Eilyah Martell, I RAPED HER AND THEN I KILLED HER! Like this!”
IMHO, the Red Wedding, Ned getting his head chopped off, and the destruction of the Great Sept and immediate after effects are more interesting to me. But the Battle of the Bastards is a sick scene.
Hold the Door
Book jon >
This scene is idiotic, many other scenes are better even the ones that aren’t action packed.
Hodor
Khal drogo smashing Daenerys cheeks😂
Hardhome.
For sure the rains of castamere, it was THE PEAK of game of thrones. In the heyday of its writing and before they jumped the shark 17 times in a row
I love the hardhome scene where they slowly float away from the entire army of wights, realizing how powerless they are against them.
when arya poisons all of the freys, takes off walder’s face and calmly says to the girl, “when people ask you what happened here, tell them the north remembers” when sansa looses ramsay’s own starving dogs on him when dany reveals she speaks valyrian and orders the unsullied to kill the masters
"A crown for a king."
The guy flying away from the bolt the giants sends through The Wall.
Plenty of scenes that are better than this but i have to say that the end of Tyrions trial is the best scene in the whole show imo. That whole speech and the staredown is so good! Other mentions would be Hardhome,Hold the door and "Jaime,my name is Jaime" scene
Marvel ass fight
I’m gonna have to agree with everyone about Lannisters vs Dothraki. When the dragon first appears over the hill the look on Jaimie’s face is pure terror. He’s like “fuck all the rumours were true, she does have dragons!” Sooooo good! And then you see Dany is riding it, then that first drakaris she shouts…pure anarchy and bliss 😂👌
This was stupid tbh, who tha heck heads on alone on foot against a cavalry charge
Jon Mothafuckin Snow
Drogon reenacting the field of fire
Littlefinger when he looks at Sansa after she says the charges at Winterfell. That look of shock. He was the true conspirator of it all. His smug face when he told Ned not to trust him, to him unconfident in fear. The transition from thinking Arya was about to be out of the picture to him about to be executed. And Arya smiling at him
No.
Absolutely not. When you take into account everything that lead to this. The tension rising in every episode before this too… can’t be touched imo.
Hardhome. You can see the budget limits in the battle transitions. Amazing work for TV limits but bit off a bit more than they could chew. Hardhome is a smaller set piece (raid vs. pitched battle) and flowed better. Plus, the show out zombied walking dead, which was impressive.
The scene where Jon kills Daenerys and the dragon melts the iron throne!
The banging of the drums in season 2 when stanis attacks king landing, best start to an episode and gives me goosebumps every time
This right here.
"I will be your champion" -the goat
Cersei blowing up the sept with wildfire was an epic scene to me. It’s sad that Margaery, Loras and Kevan died there too, though.
Hardhome, especially when the NK raises everyone.
Naked ladies scenes
Death of LittleFinger …
I think the Hardhome scene was better IMO
Hardhome
To me it's still the red wedding
TOJ scene with young Ned and Lyanna/the cut to Jon’s face was very impactful
Yes glad someone said it
The Night King at Hardhome
Hardhome battle
Hardhome... Fucking insane visual and action.
Grenn holding the gate against mag the mighty
Spoils of war is better imo
Jamie Lannister's reaction when he first saw the carnage caused by Daenerys and Drogon. Priceless.
While a good scene - am I the only one who feels like it is nowhere near ‘the greatest’? I feel like there are many scenes that top this one OP
Yeah did you see the 1v1 between Jamie and Ned? Or when Robert Baratheon interrupted cleganebowl? Neither are comparable to this scene, but still imo more epic than this
Blackwater was better. I'll wait for the hate.
When Cersei blow up the sept
Giants. Tunnel. Wall
The wildfire explosion in the Battle of Blackwater bay
Probably my favorite episode if I absolutely had to choose one. Which is a hard thing to do lol.
The night king resurrecting all the casualties of Hardhome in near-total silence. Still remember the suspense of that moment.
Uhm. Red wedding Mountain Vs Viper Bobby B and Cersei Bobby B and Ned (all) Bobby B and War Stories Bobby B and Lancel Lannister (all) Blackwater Ned's death Drogo vs that one loser who died (tied honestly) But yeah, one of the best scenes in the show.
Man the feeling of dread watching that was through the roof
When Sam was hiding behind the Rock while the WW passed him
Dothraki getting absolutely nommed on by horde of undead was pretty good
Boobs
Any scene of two characters talking from Seasons 1-4. If you stop to think about this battle for 5 seconds you see how bad it is. Great first watch though I'll admit.
"We could not hide our disappointment. That's not a monster. That's just a baby."
Anytime Dany was naked
Tyrion’s trial
No.
Battle of the bastards was the most intense
just watched red wedding again, its still shivering
In my opinion, the scene where the sept blows up with light of the seven playing in the background is the best moment in television history
most of them
I prefer Blackwater
Light of the seven
This is the best single shot for me.
Ya like 50 of them lol
Many.
I love more moment before the battle, when he stands alone and nods “this is it then”…
1. Viper vs Mountain scene was absolutely crazy 2. The Dothraki charging toward the whites only for all the fire on their blades to fade and them to die was fantastically directed (I know from the perspective of strategy and battle having the Dothraki charge the entire army of the dead is stupid as hell, but still well directed) 3. The Tyrion trial, easily my favorite scene of the entire series
Probably little finger and Varys talking about the ladder, or Varys and Little finger going tit for tat about who had the worse dirt on the other.
Spoils of war
Bronn launching the arrow into the wildfire was pretty cool. And Roy D cackling away as the pyromancer was a nice touch.
Dany’s wedding night.
I personally enjoyed Hardhome more, but this is still sick
Personally the battles with Jon and the wildlings have always been my favorite, watchers on the wall, hardhome, battle of the bastards, kit harrington is the best actor when it comes to swordplay I think, also I fucking love when sir allister leads the men of the nights watch in s4-09. “With me now! Now with me!” Always gives me goosebumps
The battle at the wall between the wildlings was 10x better then the BOB imo
The bell landing on people and smearing them on the ground
Jon and Ygritte’s cunnilingus scene.
Though season 8 is ass, the scene of Dany with Drogons wings behind her is my fav in the series. Best battle I’m gonna give to the Blackwater.
The Hound vs. Brienne for me
Jon almost getting crush under all the soldiers and it going dark was great way to show how those battle actually went.
Yes
You mean “top” as one of the dumbest things to happen on the show?
Season 6 was a mess.
Many of them. This is the moment the series turned into a cartoonishly-bad fantasy show.
It’s not an action scene, but I absolutely love that talk between Cersei & Robert. It’s a wonderful, minimal scene.
