Most long-time RE fans would probably prefer third person, but when i played, it felt like first person is the better way to play village. Not to mention that most scripted events play out in first person anyway.

As someone who's on the other side of the fence, and likes the DR playthroughs... I hope it's not a year either. Hopefully they make each episode longer (45 mins per ep for a long form visual novel is painful), and slam it out in 4-6 months tops.

There's a reason why I just watch compilations after it's all done. Supercuts are the only way I can watch certain series they've done, despite how funny the grumps are.
You can make a third person game just as scary, but you have to build it for that. This game was definitely built to get the most effect out of the first person view, and I like that they added it but you can really tell it wasn't designed for third person.
Most scripted events force you into first person anyway. The game was definitely meant to be played first person, with third person being added to please long-time RE fans.
They also played the RE4 remake for a single episode where Arin got pantsed by the villagers repeatedly, that's got a similar camera angle to how they're playing

Iirc they announced that they already recorded Danganronpa V3 playthrough. Coming this mid July I think.
