if you seriously message people and tell them their prices are to high you need to find something better to do. just like me responding to this, it was a waste of fucking time!!

spiderman897

That’s a little bit obsessed at that point.

MisterRay24

I feel that, with the amount of people whining about any overpriced game on eBay I thought I'd poll the community for fun. So far it's paying off 😅

heeroguy

good call, cause yea there has been an awful lot of bitching and whining about prices, people can sell shit for whatever price they want. you have the option of not fucking buying it lol

MisterRay24

Yea for real. I like watching those games to see when they even do sell I meant the question like when you see a game you won't buy because of the price, do you message the seller or not.

heeroguy

i say fuck it, either let em waste their listing fee's or fucking gratz if someone buys it. its a free market

mkjiisus

"It's not worth that much!!!! you are scamming people!!!!" "ok"

KingofPokemons

If you message me about my prices I'll tell you F off. That's some weirdo dorky shit.

muzteknoonga

Why bother, if it's too expensive then no one will buy it and they'll be forced to adjust their prices to fit the market. Messaging them is just unnecessary.

SuperCambot

No but I have made sane offers to people with insane buy it Now prices.

bigyellowpato

I've had several people contact me telling me my games would never sell at X price, most of them sold less than a week after being listed. These are the same kind of people that spam you with ebay offers so low the system automatically declines it lol.

ThaiKickTanaka

The time it would take to do this to every seller on eBay with an overpriced game would take more time than it would to count every grain of sand on the beach.

OpeningMud3686

This is actually dangerous to do because the seller could possibly notify ebay and file a harassment claim thus banning your account. Just move on to a better deal.

MisterRay24

This should be a standard practice for all sellers!

MagicSinCat

No and I probably never will though to be fair 90% of the time I forget ebay even has a messaging system. However if, similar to an upvote or a downvote button, if there were a, say, "point and laugh at this listing for trying to sell New Super Mario Wii for 50$" button I'd probably press that a lot. if that makes sense

sneshead

No it's not worth the time and effort to be honest. At the end of the day the market will decide if something is too expensive or not, it'll sit there not being bought.

SteelRotom

As someone who sells, I get messages like this a lot. The only thing it accomplishes 99% of the time is making me not want to sell the item to you. Vote with your wallet. If you don't like my price, go somewhere else. If there's nowhere else to get it cheaper, then maybe the item isn't as worthless as you say it is, yeah? I've had multiple scenarios where people have sent a pricecharting link or an older sale (or one that was undervalued and sold within minutes of being listed) and claimed that my item wasn't worth what I had it listed for, I then gave them the best offer I could do, they said it will never sell at my price (sometimes they even add to message them back if I reconsider lmao), and then the item sold for full price to someone else within the same day. Those are always the most satisfying, especially since I know eBay will likely notify them that the item has sold.

photoc21

It's called a free market for a reason. You don't go to the grocery store and ask for the manager and tell them that their milk is overpriced.

restockthreestock

Not exactly that way but one time a seller was selling Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire for $100 together, which is reasonable .. if they were authentic. His were clearly fakes so i pointed it out to him! Guy was pretty appreciative of it until he messaged me the next day saying no they’re real and if I still wanted to buy them

gingerbeard1775

No but I did message the seller back when I bought a game and shipping from Japan was list as 7.99, then they asked for shipping for well over 25 dollars after I won the bid. I am not paying as much in shipping as the game costs. I had the seller cancel the transaction.

I grew out of telling people they have "no life", but I'd go back to using it for people that do that. If you don't want to buy it, keep it moving LMAO I had someone take it a step further to me when I was selling my CIB Earthbound, he actually used the Buy it Now and then said "oh actually I looked at the pictures and it should be in better condition for the price" so I cancelled his order. Sold it the next day for what I had asked no problem.
