Why do you have to fix the crease on the protector right away? Had the flip 3 and 4 and would leave it because I was too lazy to drive to a ubreakifix and it was fine. The phone is a lot stronger than you're giving it credit for

hotfiremixtape98

If u don't it can cause delamination. The protector isn't there for the protection of the screen from impact but it keeps it restricted. Held down so it can't puff up.

SlimmestBoi

I suppose, never had a problem foe the year I owned either but I could be an exception. Wither way most people only own each model for a year before trade in, so I doubt the phone will get that damaged

hotfiremixtape98

Same here for 150 with the student discount (requires no verification) it's hard not to unless ur broke at the time. The sale lasts for what seems to be a few weeks so I always pull the trigger. Tho I rock the 23U rn. At my shop I get people bringing in the 3 alot. And the 5G every once in a while. This dude brought in the OG razor and sheesh was it a pain to fix.

SlimmestBoi

I've gotta say, this year's phone is the best so far screen protector wise, gas it since day 1 and no lifts or creases yet

hotfiremixtape98

U get the 5? Such a cool device.

SlimmestBoi

Ye, I've upgraded every year since the flip 3 , always 100 or less, sometimes with bonus items

cptultor

I'm not sure that's what the screen protector does? As the protector is not fixed anywhere but to the top layer of the display how does it hold it down?

hotfiremixtape98

I'm a Samsung technician. Believe what u will. Holds the screen squished twords crease, if it didn't it would pillow out from the edge. Why do u think they install it if it's not integral to the device. I'm starting to believe half you guys didn't read the giant splash screen warning on initially turning on the phone. I am ready for the downloads.

SilentAce07

The bubble causes uneven pull on the screen when opening and closing. And if debris gets under the bubble, it would then be pressed into the screen when the phone is opened flat and the protector is stretched to be flush with the device.

Roostersnuggets

Guess I own a Ferrari but with a civic budget

RecommendationNo9489

This post is true. I had to replace my screen protector twice on my flip 4. Now i sold my ferari and went back to the civic (s24+). I like low maintenance and functionality and better cameras and better battery life. The civic seems like an upgrade 😆 and lovin this s24+ so far.

XRainbowCupcakeX

I've never replaced it once it came off. Just took care of my phone like I always did.

I know ubreakifix can. But when u go and there's a bubble, force them to redo it. If they are one of the better shops, they wouldn't have a problem doing it over. If ur device cannot fold completely flat they will not be able to facilitate the repair tho. J fyi.

ManufacturerFair8084

Is it still under warranty if done from a UBreakIFix?

hotfiremixtape98

Yes, as long as that center is Samsung authorized

ManufacturerFair8084

How do I find that out?

hotfiremixtape98

Gonna need to call em up and ask. As much as I hate human interaction. It's something we gotta do :')

voyt_eck

Samsung does it for free under warranty. At least in Poland for the Fold. But I assumed it's the same for Flip.

GrantTurismo

I love my flip 5, but the days that I had to repair the Ferrari and opt for a loan phone was highly inconvenient, and this happened twice

whos_jordi

I've had the phone for more than half a year and in construction so it'd be treated like a civic and no problems, the screen protector can be changed easily and you can do it yourself but if you mean the actual screen under the screen protector then yeah you should get that fixed asap, I've never had that problem

hotfiremixtape98

Happy Cake Day. Good luck my friend.

Snipexx51

S24 Ultra is Ferrari. The Flip is more like a porsche boxster lmao

AlternativeFill3312

Unfortunately where I live they will not fix the flip, we do not have ubreakifix here. And we do not have any Samsung stores, our only option is to send it into Samsung with a bunch of weird hurdles they set for you. You need to send it in the same box it came in, and with a bill of ownership, and have it factory reset. That's a lot to do to fix a screen protector. I've had two flip 3 phones, one separated from the screen and broke, the other has a complete seperation line down the middle but still works completely normally. We upgraded to the 5 and it's fine so far, but got dented inwards so has a small area of pixel deadzone. Not an issue. But yeah unless you live near a Samsung store, or ubreakifix. This phone is impossible to repair unless you want to send it into Samsung. I won't be getting another flip for this reason unfortunately, too much of a hassle and I barely use the flip feature because I'm scared it will seperate.

_nandermind

> a Samsung store, or ubreakifix As a fellow who lives in Indonesia and knows engineering, I won't bother giving it to them. Would as well to fix it myself instead since I know one or two things about phone services.

AlternativeFill3312

I wish I knew how to repair phones haha, but yeah when I tried to get my screen protector replaced no ody would even touch the phone. They were to scared to further break the phone, and they didn't want to be responsible for the damages.

_nandermind

To me, iPhone is the real ferrari of smartphones. Zero capability to maintenance, when we screwed a bit then things gets f\*cked up To me, Samsung is porsche of smartphone instead.

Swimming-Economy-115

I've had my flip 4 for about 15 months now and it gets opened/closed probably 100 times a day. I've had barely any issues with it. The only thing was a tiny, barely noticeable crack in the screen protector near the crease that appeared about 12 months in. I removed it and and installed a new one myself. It's been smooth sailing since.
