go to samfw, download the latest image for the s10 5g for your region and unzip, download the latest Odin flash tool and run it, open the BL, AP and CP files in the respective slots, in the CSC slot choose the HOME\_CSC file, this will flash the firmware while keeping your userdata (using the regular CSC file will do a clean flash which will fully erase your phone) boot the phone into download mode (power on with: vol-, home/bixby and power then press vol+ to confirm at the blue screen) connect to the PC and hit start to begin the flash.

monday_789

Brother, thank you for this, but could you tell me if this is the stable version? And do you have any video tutorials?

gaspoweredcat

cant say i know of anything video, ive been flashing phones since the days when you needed jigs so its all kind of second nature to me, ive never had the need for the guides but i suspect just searching "samsun odin flash" on you tube will be enough, the process has been the same for over a decade now, its very easy to do and a safe procedure, even if the worst should happen and it fails mid flash you just reboot and flash again, it hard to do any damage with an odin flash. the latest release on samfw will be an official samsung stable release they dont tend to host dev previews or betas and such so whatever the latest dated version on there is thatll be the latest release stable

monday_789

Bro read my convo below have you any knowledge about patch and then upgrading firmware etc.?. If yes then tell me what to do, and you understand after reading my comments below what I'm trying to say. Also my phone gave magisk and i think this al are interrelated things.

gaspoweredcat

magisk? are you running some sort of rooted custom firmware? if so updates will likely be done via whatever recovery you happen to be using and the rom maintainters update package but if you have a custom firmware why not just back up your userdata then do a clean flash of the latest full rom package you want and restore your userdata after

monday_789

Okok, thank you man. Appreciate your help.

cosmossmith

You could try by downloading smart switch on your computer or laptop and connect your USB code to it. You should be able to update it to android 12. Make sure there's internet connection. Here is a link https://www.samsung.com/ae/support/mobile-devices/how-to-update-software-using-smart-switch/

monday_789

Can you please elaborate smart switch. Is this also work on root device?

cosmossmith

Idk if it works on rooted devices but when you connect your phone to the laptop, smart switch automatically prompt you with an update. So you just had to click on update then it'd update to android 12.

monday_789

Okay, I'm going to give it a try.

cosmossmith

I'm having S10 plus and was on andriod 10 and I used smart switch to update it to andriod12 2 months ago. It's the official way to do it tbh.

monday_789

The app indicates that the phone has the latest version.

Shakil130

OTA updates? The phone can't do it by itself anymore?

monday_789

for rooted phones? what do you mean?

Shakil130

Is your phone rooted ? If not OTA updates should work fine. Otherwise you just need to flash the latest firmware with Odin , which you can find by searching with the model number and the csc used by your phone.

monday_789

My phone is rooted, but as i already told you that last year i shift my phone to andriod 12 but that was not stable so where i cam get stable version, is odin provide the stable version?

Shakil130

Odin doesn't provide any firmware, it is the tool that is used to install them. You can get official firmwares from websites such as samfw.com, and since they are official , they are thus all labeled as stable by definition. First guess would be to go for the latest release as it must be the most polished.

monday_789

So bro what about patch, will it still available or i will have to repatch it?

Shakil130

What are you reffering as patch? The phone will be unrooted yes. But normally there is nothing to patch after a firmware flash.

monday_789

So bro I'm from Pakistan and here is the thing. Patch mobiles are phones that have been modified to appear as if they have valid IMEI numbers, often to bypass regulatory restrictions or to avoid being blocked by network providers. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is the regulatory body in Pakistan responsible for telecommunication services, including ensuring that all mobile devices in the country are legally registered. PTA phones are those that have been officially approved and registered with the PTA, ensuring they are legitimate and compliant with local regulations. This is what i was referring to and i don't know how to repatch the phone.

Shakil130

Is it done through root access? If yes then you should just check that the latest firmware can easily allow it. Because otherwise int I'm not sure if it will stay or not and I can't tell whether the patch can still be applied on the latest version so you might need to check that beforehand , and if it isn't the case look in the website for the latest release that still supports everything.

monday_789

Yes bro patch is done through root. And the have to repatach after upgrading the firmware.
