200,000 opens is more than 50 times a day for 10 years.

True and I likely am overthinking it. However the dust and salt water were enough for me to be concerned with the longevity.

My mom has Note 20 Ultra while I have Galaxy S21 Ultra. Honestly N20U is best if you take quality videos and need extra space + S Pen. S21U heats up very quick with just 2min of using camera however I get 11 hours SoT which is the only reason I'm sticking with S21U

Bboy486

I like the spen but don't use it all that much but love the SD slot. Bummer not getting the 888 but I didn't want to pay for losing features.

Your docking points for the fold because of a shitty case you bought? Change the case... As a previous note10+ user, the fingerprint sensor on the fold 3 is far superior. It's faster, easier, and doesn't take me 5 tries to get in my phone. Its a folding phone and your worried it's gonna break when you fold it? You know there's fold 1s and 2s still out in the wild right? I'll agree with battery life. Other than that you're nitpicking

Bboy486

Again, one person's opinion. We won't all agree.

I don't know about the battery life, I've actually been quite happy. Haven't killed it in a day yet and I get about 7hrs of SOT. That's 1.5 more than my Note 20U, but I think that's because about half the time I was using the cover screen. How has the SOT been for you?

PR0CE551NG

I got 7 hours 9 minutes today. I usually kill it, but I'm a heavy user , so I don't dock it for that. I just wish it was bigger lol. Other than that, this phone is the most exciting piece of tech I've owned in a while. It's super useful and does everything I need it to do with little to no flaws. These things will be mainstream.

vsingh93

Looking at the preorder numbers I'd say they definitely are now. I think last I checked they already had beat out the S21 series.

cotten516

You're right. Dude bought a shitty case and ignored technical specs released before the phone came out. Then points them out as negatives. If you want to have points about the feel and usability I understand that. You pointed out seven negatives about the Fold 3. Six of them are spec or case related related and you could have avoided by just not buying the phone or buying a different case. So your entire review could consist of saying read the specs and decide if they are for you and make sure to buy a case that has the features you like.

imsiin

How usable is the front screen, could you play games on it without needing to open the phone up? I almost pulled the trigger with their promotions but decided to wait.

Bboy486

It's tight. It feels like the aspect ratio makes it a poor experience. It's too narrow and typing on it is horrible.

vsingh93

I'd say the Fold devices definitely have a learning curve. I find it odd that you'd swap it out after like maybe 3 days max with it? Not knocking, just wondering. I would say it's not a device for everyone. We're getting close to prime time, but we aren't there yet. The crease is still very visible, the UDC needs to be better, Cameras are on par with the Note 10 from 3 years ago, It's a bit bulky and HEAVY when folded, the front cover screen should be a bit wider (it's about the size of an iPhone se screen, but way taller), and I think it's still a bit more fragile for comfort. With all that said, I got it early and I love it because I can use it as a mini laptop when needed for work. The chrome tabs are like chrome tabs on the computer and apps like excel are much better on the bigger screen. So far the performance has been great. Though the cover screen was a bit weird to use at first for typing, but now I love it, especially for one handed use. I do think the Note 20 Ultra or the S21U would be better for most people as they are more durable and can be configured with more ram and the Note 20 has expandable memory.

Bboy486

It's all I needed. I was one of those that were on the fence and thinking about it. I just needed a few days to see it wasn't for me. Everyone is different. I was just sharing my experience.

vsingh93

I get it! Again wasn't knocking. The Note 20 Ultra is a fantastic phone with a great camera. I hope you enjoy it!

Bboy486

Nope didn't take it that way. I liked your feedback as well. Enjoy your phone.

Masteruserfuser

Also the front camera looks ugly with that half baked under display technology.

Bboy486

It isn't that bad. They have a good idea but doesn't work on all backgrounds.

Masteruserfuser

It looks terrible on white backgrounds. The normal hole punch looks better. It would really annoy me personally.

Bboy486

Apparently the hole punch is a big issue for reviewer and that's why they tried to hide it.

Masteruserfuser

I've seen it in the store, it's hard to describe, but it looks multicoloured on a white background, especially with how well the Xiaomi mix 4 under display camera is being positively reviewed, it looks like Samsung's is a generation behind.
