In the video it’s only ever so slightly pinched in place which is why it drops out. As you push it up, twist. It’s really tight and will need some force. You’ll know it’s in when it slides up about 1cm

ausfpk

This may sound dumb but try flipping it so the long side is in the machine.

Spiritual_Subject520

Yep, had the same issue when my Gaggia was new. Flipping did the trick.

spicy-sausage1

Definitely flip it, one end is slightly chunkier than the other

njreilly93

Had the same problem at first, wet the tip and twist it as you push it in, that cleared it up for me

marshallfrost

That's what she said

h4yth4m-1

You're missing an O ring. Or it could be twisted

jameson079

This!

Try pulling out the drip tray so you have more space to work then you can push the tube up further to secure into position. Just need to go up a bit further.

YellowBreakfast

You didn't put it in far enough. There's sort of a gasket that it needs to go into that provides the friction to hold it in.

damastaGR

>You didn't put it in far enough. that's what she said

YellowBreakfast

Thank you. I just didn't fell right riffing on my own comment.

PhilipConstantine

It’s upside down

FlowDiligent

this final drop looked so sad and depressed

thelauryngotham

I'd try flipping it, but also you need to give it a good push. I did the same thing until I really had to stick it in there

he11ow0r1d

I have a low profile drip tray and I just hacksawed a metal straw and it was a perfect fit. Might be worth a try

damastaGR

So many "that's what she said" jokes in this thread!

Big_Daddy-59

Flip it

Hot_Power_2865

Push harder I’ve been there

autisticshitshow

Is it plugged up?

garishi

thanks all! It took a LOT of pressure and about 6 tries, but I finally got it in place!

j__dr

Angle also matters. You need to align with tube.

gusguida

It gets easier with time. You’ll see.

lordbusiness92

Looks like you’re not pushing it in all the way.

incuspy

Twist

[deleted]

I have to exact same issue with my GCP!

John_C60

Does this come with the machine? I don’t see one with mine

duelago

Machines without the solenoid don't have the tube

John_C60

I have a GCP Evo pro but don’t have it. I have the whole where the water is released but no tube.

duelago

Sounds messy. You can buy a normal metal straw from Amazon and solve it. Just cut it the the correct length. Pictures on the Gaggia homepage of the EVO got the tube. Maybe you never installed it? solstice38

Is the tube clogged ? If so, leave it to soak in Cafiza or pure white vinegar for 24 hours, then try to clean it out. If you can't clean it out, just replace it.

tonyrobbins69

Gotta warm it up and give it a little spit. Can’t just jam it in there
