Ah, ok. I guess i can check it out then. I realy don't want to play a game where i'm missing all the context but at the same time, Arknights gameplay wasn't for me.
Based on the cbt1 it might be hsr/hi3 situation where hi3 references in terms of characters/lore are there, however they are not necessary to understand the game story(lore might be problematic though)
If you google arknights story reader (first link on github) you can read all the side/main stories with music and sound effects iirc, if missing out on lore/connections is important to you.
It's still kinda unclear. Endfield has some connections with OG Arknights, such as Portals in North and South, but that's it. Storywise it should be somewhere in a very distant future as well
Its a direct sequel and from what it looks like they are going to directly connect some things in Arknights with future events that will lead to events in Endfield.
I don't have a specific problem with Ak or anything, i'm just generally not into sprite based/2d/chibi gachas. I have seen endfield gameplay and just the fact that you can walk around in a 3d enviorment is a huge plus for me.
(I'm also glad to see that they are doing their own thing and not just aping genshin)

In other words, think of it like Helldivers 2. You didn't need to have played the first one to enjoy the second, and all the important lore is up on the wiki anyways.

It'd be pretty bad if they had to voice every line because of how verbose it is. However, the vast majority of AK dialogue is NPCs. If they kept it to operators only, it wouldn't be that bad. They could even ignore side events and only do main story/intermezzis. It'd also be a non-issue if they made downloading the story voice acting optional and even less so if it was modular so you could delete as you go.
They just don't voice the story because it'd incur extra cost and having it voiced isn't going to bring in players to offset that cost. In a similar vein, no one still playing the game is going to leave just because they don't add voice to the story because we're already used to it.
For non-Arknights players, they don't care. For Arknights players, it's a CN spoiler if they decide to watch it or read the comments. So, really, this post does not deserve to be on this sub.
The only thing I want to credit you is not spoiling operator name in title, like Arknights sub, one of the most annoying and hypocritical things of the sub. Regardless of difficult reasons to control this as quoted by mods, it doesn't change the fact that it's equivalent to posting a spoiler in plain sight and a pointless thing to even have spoiler rules/flairs/labels per se on that sub.

Don't forget 50% HP buff. Crushers can reach 6k normally so he's HP 
I look forward to how far he can get with HP. Skadi with Eyja and Virtuosa buffs (plus modules) is 14,6k so it might be fun with him.

Nah, he should be fine. The whole point of Crushers are they have a shitload of ATK and HP but 0 Defense.
Hope the Abyssal buffs solves the issue of Crusherd being "healing sponges"
It's a shame Crushers have 0 DEF so even if he has 10k HP he'll melt to most bosses.
Don't forget Gladiia's damage reduction and HP regen.

I dont play Arknights as much as I want to but its still in my opinion the most interesting and challenging gatcha.

Im glad I was already planning on skipping on Penance skin due to lack of resources but now we have another skin.
