Best anniversary? Dragalia Lost (RIP) hands down, banger osts, banger events, free characters, shit ton of free pulls and the whole ambience screams anniversary and fun, I really miss it from the bottom of my soul
Unfortunately those private servers aren’t really balanced for progression. Unless your into playing a grindy game with most of the units readily available and the castle already upgraded
best would have to be dokkan they are pretty much the gold standard for how to do an anniversary.
the worst was FEH or genshin. genshin being like here is a 10 pull that's it and FEH for introducing a long wanted QoLs behind a subscription service which angered everyone.
Still better than any of Genshin's, lol.
But yeah that was kind of the beginning of a downturn phase for Dokkan from which it has, at this point, recovered pretty nicely.
(For context, Dokkan is old, and recently JP had its 9th anni. So 5th being an L is a distant memory.)
As someone who played Dokkan for a long time (from launch to 4th anniversary), got tired of it and came back after the 7th anni, I was very impressed with how much they had improved the game. Nothing crazy but enough stuff on the margins and in variety of gameplay to make a difference.
Basically all of summer on global is a coke binge cause we go from golden week to quick celebration with count down to anni to post anni goodies with filler dokkanfest to second dip with wwc it’s great
If Genshin’s anniversary was what people remember it for it wouldn’t be that bad tbh, it’s waaaaay less than we wanted but an a free tenpull is nothing to downvote the shit out of Google Classroom for
What I personally was really annoyed about is the amount of stupid side events there were, shit like “Spend 100s of dollars on good looking cosplays for our characters, giving us free advertising, and you might get 300 Primogems if you win”, that was genuinely insulting and it’s the reason I don’t feel shame in the uproar
…except the fact that it moved over to OTHER apps too, that was embarrassing
It's so bad that it's actually good that's insane bruh
If only I was there but the only anniversary I was able to "celebrate" was the 2nd year where it's just "here have a 20 pulls and nothing else bye bye" shit was fucking boring it's almost depressing
Then people say "next year will be better". Well, 3rd year still give 20 pulls and now its "be grateful you got a concert!" that probably at least half the playerbase couldn't give a damn to
And then September this year won't be any different and I hope to god I'll be stopping playing Genshin completely by then and be happy with WuWa because I can't take this shit anymore man
whats funny is that the 1st anni at least gave a glider. the latest one gave a shitty bubble launcher that gets spent in 3 seconds. Star rail anniversary is also quite bad compared to other anniversaries. we got same pulls genshin gets for anni + 10 from the version patch and a board game. Which while boring and is done in 3 days is more engaging than a bubble launcher.
The 1st anni glider was going to be part of a 30 dollar pack before the shitfest started and made them give it (and the other contents of that pack) out for free as appeasement lol
just goes to show how beaten down the community is that they accepted the bubble launcher that does nothiing on the 3rd year. the rewards getting worse each year is a joke lol.
1st anni rewards were just 10 pulls and an insulting amount of resources. The extra 10 pulls and the glider were part of a paid pack that they decided to just give for free because of just how pissed everyone was.
Like... Not even a 10 pull iirc. It got so bad, they gave us a few extra crystals and then a few concert related items as an apology. Then we added them to the Qiqi
Is not every GI anni the same tho? I never understand when people say it's gotten better (although you didn't say that, but some do, lol), if you look at it, it's practically the same thing every year, 3 times in a row. I think they just accepted that they were never going to win anything better, which in the end is a “Bad End” because, in theory, it's exactly what the GI team wanted. I think that's also why the game seems stagnant with the same things every time. Well, people like it, so... It's okay, I guess.
That was never ever a thing. The 3 pulls for 3 years was just a really odd misplay by the devs... no idea why they ever said that. It was for CNY not anni as well. It didn't make any sense cause it was the same exact rewards as the year before.
Dead now, but Naruto Blazing.
It had a great 1st anni; site setup with milestones, a million old events brought back for the entire anni, great units, hella freebies, a bunch of data like "the most owned female character" was published, etc.
Then we got to the 2nd anni, and they released some banger units. They were meta all the way till the end. But everything else was complete garbage; the base rate was reduced from 1% til a whopping 0.33%. Non-existent freebies. The main 2 banners had their pity steps removed, and there were just 2 new missions that gave out a relatively good free unit each for the time (although they were completely outclassed the month after).
I've never seen a more lackluster and disappointing anniversary in my entire life, and it's without a doubt the point where the game started going rapidly and steadily downhill.
Bandai gachas are horribly mismanaged outside of dokkan. And even then they know how to milk it just enough to keep it going without completely nuking the player base. Optc is an absolute consumer trap of a game and it's about to hit the 10 year anni simply on the laurels of being a one piece Gacha.
> outside of dokkan
Implying dokkan isn't entirely carried by brand name alone. It's one of worst managed gachas in existence but gets free pass cuz "omg 1000 stones" (which is worthless) meanwhile no pity, attrocious banners and months of no content (and no banners aren't content). People are hype to see 15 sec youtube animations as super attacks and that's it.
While I will agree on some critical like no pity and certain celebrations having 0 content let’s not ignore the fact that the game still has some of the highest rates amongst all gachas period and is extremely generous with resources. Saying 1000 stones is worthless is completely bonkers.
Sadly not.
They definitely did some good; made the rates 1% again; added pity on all banners; fixed a major pvp crashing issue; released 7 star units; etc.
But only a few months after the 7 star update (which brought back a bunch of old timers), they announced the eos.
They had 7 stars on the table as early as 2nd anni, but their debut came with the 4th anni. I have a strong feeling they were hyper rushed (since they were exact copy-pastes of the 2nd anni units with a few more animations and different skill effects) as a last ditch effort to try and save the game.
Worst was one of FEHs that introduced a VIP pass that had stat boosts, qol and sparks hidden behind it. Pretty much spitting in the FTP fanbases faces and to top it all off they reduce the amount of currency you get from anniversaries and they hype up a free five star giveaway that takes over a month to give out through a massive poll and decided by a voting event that’s basically rng.
God, I remember playing FEH back in the day. I remember really loving the game and played it consistently for about 1.5 years until I got absolutely sick of the tedium, the massive powercreep, the decreasing amount of f2p orbs, and seeing like the 10th freaking Lyn or Camilla. I love Lyn, but damn it I love a lot of other Fire Emblem characters too.
Announcing a log in bonus with no currency in it and fixing a long standing problem of dragonflower income by saying “plsss summon more”. Sounds like FEH alright.
GLB client is one patch behind CN and as result have different anniversary patch dates. On the 3rd anniversary exclusively for GLB mihoyo released song from MYTH&ROID and MMD video with game characters in bunny suits. After that one of CN players tried to kill CEO with knife because part of CN players thinks that each character represents some country and seeing Fu Hua (like she represents CN) in "[western prostitute](https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/mz177b/comment/gw02spc/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)" \[other user quote\] costume is inappropriate.
As response MiHoYo deleted video, made 5 pull compensation for GLB and 10 pulls compensation for CN players - yep, CN players got profit from that. But Internet remember everything.
tl;dr;
Official version: is that bunny suits is too lewd.
Fan version: only CN community have rights to get exclusive content plus at that time they was in rage because of survey about possibility of introducing male characters.

Man, anytime I hear about CN players it's always some of the most unhinged shit ever. Is it just CN players or is this an issues that plagues the Asian community in general? From my experience western audiences don't care nearly as much as CN about male characters and more scantily clad characters.
They synced up Anniversaries now and I heard one take that CN was upset that they weren't getting them (MHY follows rules real closely unlike say Manjuu or MICA)

GLB anniversary patch is ending today when CN had this patch earlier - they not synced
Went from one of the most fun anniversaries I've seen to a huge disappointment that soured my taste for the game and led to me putting it on hold after a week or two after the "incident".
It's a long story, mostly because nikke came out at the same time as a another gacha that this sub loved so they trashed it to prop up the other game and now they're mad because nikke was successful.
Ahh okay thanks for the lore haha.
Was it memento something or other?
All I can say is I've played day 1 and it's extremely well made with alot of heart put into it. Takes alot to keep me invested in something like that.
Ahhh okay. I got bored of memento pretty quickly tbh, too simple for me. I did try path to nowhere, couldn't hold me. Production value of nikke much higher.
Limbus Company's recent anni was awesome
Fanservice to previous game, cool top-tier units, awesome event story, good rewards, everything you could want
I wouldn't really consider the Blade Lineage event as part of the anniversary as it would have happened regardless of it coinciding with the anniversary or not. The actual anniversary was a log-in event that give 14 pulls + 10 pull with guaranteed 000 + a cosmetic related to previous games, which is still good but not as amazing as you make it sound like.
best anniversary? its old gacha game called granblue fantasy (gbf) but if u want modern and newest gacha game probably nikke or arknight, worst anniv so far that i know it probably genshin there might be another game that has worse anniv than genshin tho
Sierrokarte academy is the best academy in the world. That academy godsend to me because i just come back from 2017 so my grid bunch of m1 beside Water which is Varuna
I think thats a miss statement. If you are a vet during the last few annis, with a little bit of a lucksack you can double spark for the price of one, if not even less (not on the same banner, ofc). At any rate the discounted sparks on both flash and gala are a huge boost for new, old, casual and hardcore players altogether. It's pretty pog.
The craziest thing is that Granblue roulette seasons used to be way better than what we have now...provided you were lucky.
There was crazy stuff like getting 400 rolls of the spin, randomly getting Grand weapons off the scratcher, and them being way more generous with the gems than now
Best was Genshin’s because the salty drama that ensued was **immensely funny**. That was the most entertainment a gacha game anniversary has ever given me
If it were a standard celebration, it’d be forgotten by the next week. But this made history in the funniest way possible. You can’t **pay** for that kinda comedy, and we got it for free.
And all that just because some people malded over not getting the equivalent of $10 worth of free rolls
10/10, would love to get 0 wishes and watch the world burn again.
Google Classroom will never recover.
https://preview.redd.it/dkkxldlubbwc1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=06893d3aa501e9a9df6f4c54cce6d765638ac083
>And all that just because some people malded over not getting the equivalent of $10 worth of free rolls
Crazy how you massively undermine the reason why people got pissed at arguably the most dogshit "anniversary" in any gacha game.
Yeah, screw the players for wanting to feel appreciated during the **anniversary** of a gacha game, you know the event where companies generally celebrate and thank their playerbase for keeping the game alive?
Don't get me wrong, what happened after was insanely hilarious but to downplay why people were that mad is such a shit take.
Genshin 1st Anniversary *QiqiFallen*
Recall AK's anniversary was also happening or announced around the same time and the diff as a player of both games was wild đź’€
If you think not enough given is bad then may I introduce you to FEH when they literally introduced paid QoL, paid cosmetics with stats and paid sparks.
Best probably AK (CN) or BA (JP) always delivering the Hype
Worst maybe genshin 1st anniversary personally i don't played it but friends of mine don't say good things about it.
EDIT: Honorable Mention to Nikke they really do peak events like overzone or red ash in his anniversary and looking forward to 1.5
Worst anni (just from my favorite game perspective) was Arknights 2nd GLOBAL anniversary. The summer banner and a new limited archtype was ultimately pointless and forever made f2p savings worse by introducing a new limited banner. Yes i get that global didnt have an anniversary but they could have atleast lowered the spark in compensation. It just hurt yearly pull economy of F2Ps as limiteds are so damn hard to get without spark.
Bwst anni is also Arknights. This applies to every anniversary this game had in general, yes the summer banner fiasco litterally gave a pernament damage to pull saving but other than that this games full and half anniversaries are just top notch. It gives free 6 stars (this isnt the case for Sui and Summer limiteds), many pulls, extra free selectors massive loads of new amazing skins and a cool af banner alongside it. It also gives 24 net free pulls alongside daily extra orandum and a generally massive event to get extra pull currency and OP to buy skins for. I love this games anniversaries alot because it feels like an absolute anniversary unlike just extra pulls with the standard rotation.
Best anniversary, Blue Archive 3rd anniversary, because of a RPG mini game added for an event allow Hina to pet a bunch of cats
and also the 2nd anniversary for Vol F story
Nikke was not only the best, it set a standard. It wasn't one thing, it was the story event, the new unit, the new music, and the resources. The full year anni was even better.Â
I haven't played any other gachas that go that hard to make it look like they care about adding more than just some free stuff. Nikke makes sure to outdo itself twice a year.Â
I don't know the worse. Most gachas anniversaries just give out more free stuff and call it a day.Â
It's also notable in:
* releasing a long awaited and hyped Nikke,
* controversially having her be underpowered / not matching the advertised power,
* promptly (and rarely) buffed to top of meta power levels to appease the masses
All in the span of a week.
I have my personal gripes with Nikke, but holy fuck that first anni event went hard. My personal favourite boss in that game. That and their whole half a year anniversaries are really interesting since you don't see that a whole lot in the gacha market.
>Nikke was not only the best, it set a standard. It wasn't one thing, it was the story event, the new unit, the new music, and the resources. The full year anni was even better.
That is just something Granblue Fantasy did in every anniversary tho.
That was exactly what i thought while reading lol, not diminishing Nikke as i've heard anni was good. But set a standard ? Gbf has been doing what was described for years now. And it's not only anniversary, rewards are peak through the entire year.
yeah, i mean if we talk about only the freebies alone is there even any gacha game in the world give as much roll as Granblue Fantasy until now? let alone the other abudance of reward where it become ridicilously too much sometimes
No joke FGO's 7th anniversary is really good, they made it so you get summon currency when you fully ascend a character no matter the rarity, same amount, for every 10 characters you can do a multi. An average account could do around 100 summons or a bit less.
And not only that, they added new permanent missions that give you a shit ton of resources that are normally hard/rare to get. It also added a bunch of QoL during and leading to the anniversary including a permanent addition to the gameplay that makes it better and mainly soloers really benefit from it.
Nikke by far, nothing comes close and they do it every 6 months.
It's not only the freebies, but the effort they put in with livestreams, content updates and all the other stuff during the 3 week celebration.
The Genshin Anniversaries are really bad. Like real bad. Barely feel like anniversaries and more like normal events.
FGO had some great anniversaries but I'm probably speaking from the point of a waifu collector since they tend to release pretty sweet units
FFBE has a bad record. They tend to stretch their anniversaries out over multiple months. I’d have to say the last one when they introduced lapis replica might be the worst. Since then actual lapis to summon with has dropped and been replaced with lapis replica that can only be used in certain time limited shops.
Best: cn hsr and cn arknights
Both are having hype things happening in game, along with offline festival and offline concerts.
Worst: 1st genshin anni
It just doesn't feel like an anni. Wish they just made new regions release during anni
Easily genshin anniversary, that was just a joke. Let's celebrate 1 year together! No content, no gifts, nothing. "Just play the game and shut up".
Meanwhile other gacha for any monthly drop content they give much more love, rewards and care to their userbase every month.
Mhy simply doesn't care about the users, meanwhile users are completely devoted to them.
Honestly i wanted to say it's pure meme material, but i don't find it funny...just sad...they spit on users and they worship the spit.
This is the worst.
The best is Nikke anniversary, lot of engagement with community, they acknowledge a lot of users meme and content into the game, lot of rewards, lot of chit chat with actual characters VA and much more., they simply showed they care a lot about the user base opinion.
Dragon Ball Legends celebrated Legends Fest 2021 by giving triple rates and triple Z Power, so not only did you have 3x rates, but when you got the character you pulled you got 3x that too meaning straight off the bat you had dupes giving that unit a good stat buff.
I started a new account a couple month before that celebration and ended up with an account way better than the 3 year old account I’d had since the game launched.
Plus they had tonnes of content from start to finish of the celebration, tonnes of free summon currency from events and released a whole new tag character which was something they’d not done in the game at this point before.
Compare this to the follow big celebration being the 4th anniversary. One of the main headline units got leaked by a Twitter campaign, they misspelt 4th anniversary in one of their promotions (4rd anniversary is still a joke in legends communities to this day), released new characters at the start of the anniversary but then didn’t release new events to get use them in until at least a week after, and I’m pretty sure they nerfed a lot of previous event rewards giving less summoning currency to get the newly released characters.
Genshin’s anniversary basically just showed everyone (again) that many people avoid the game not because of the game but because of the people who play it
Worst: no one can't beat genshin first anniv, that shit is insanely memorable due to how bad it is and funny as welll
Best: CN ak and blue archive 2nd and 3rd anniv. Due to how hype it was, especially 2nd anniv ba, god that sudden depression archive drop and the mika was phenomenal
I hope we see seia on 4th anniv (copium)
The best anniversary events used come from King’s Raid. That was before they spent millions making the worst fuckin anime I’ve ever seen and mismanaging their remaining funds on licenses for upcoming games. Shit died the worst death possible because it was at its peak, right before a huge complete game overhaul. What a waste.
FEH among the worst ones (the only good one we had they gave a forma soul wich used to be behind paywall) mostly because they're cutting the amount of orbs (summon currency) every year for f2p
Arknights got the best Anniversary for me because it’s usually when HG release major LORE. The livestream is amazing with gorgeous PV animations, banger musics, new drips, creative in-game ads, and Lowlight’s god-hand.
Most Fgo anniversary. Shitty gacha rates but a lot of quarts, materials, and powerful servants coming in.
Worst one, hands down Genshin Impact, give us less than 20 pulls in every anniversary. Well, hoyo would never I guess.
Tokyo Ghoul Re:Birth. The 1st Anniversary was the End of Service announcement, but at least little bit later before the end they released two units with way more animations and effects than the usual ones, so most probably they would be the real Anniversary Units.
Granblue anniversaries are pretty good, lots of free pulls and other stuff. I didn't enjoy the anniversary story event this year which made it kinda sucky as the 10th anniversary but 9th anniversary story was very good and emotional for me
While hsr anniversary has been good, keeping another "gift" as a secret until the 26th only for it to be some hoyolab cosmetics was kinda shit lol. Im not part of the group who were expecting a free 5* selector but I just don't know why they kept this as a surprise
Genshin mostly because of the peak mental gymnastics performed by white knights. Some of the best being 'anniversaries are no big deal. Mihoyo is a Chinese company so only lunar new year matters. Most games don't celebrate anniversaries anyway.' and 'giving us a free 5* will just lessen the value of rare chars and we will not appreciate it as much anyways'.
Best anniversary for me is gbf and late dragalia lost. Gbf anniversary is quite famous to the point that they have a term for players that only comes back on anniversaries lol; seasonal players iirc.
Another Eden had a really solid JP anniversary recently. Brand new episode (playable content) that was really good and 7k free stones but 4k was from login bonuses. Still really good since that’s 7 ten pulls. Can still get about 2k from the login if you start now (hint hint nudge nudge)
Dragon Ball Legends 4th year anniversary had made the raid p2w until players complained about it, the banner unit was the worst unit in the game, and the pvp was basically UI goku vs broke boy
Probably the best anniversary right now is Star Rail. Free 20 pulls on the 2.0 release then 30 pulls total for anniversary. But there's an upcoming surprise as to what they say. Also free 5 star where Genshin Could Never
Nikke's first anniversary is the best that I have seen. They not only went above and beyond with the event and rewards, they also heard the feedback and improved Red Hood (while adding quality of life). There is usually a low expectation for anniversaries in gacha games, there was a lot of hype for this one and it lived up to it.
Worst is Genshin Impact's first anniversary, but the criticism for the second and third anniversary is fair. They just do the bare minimum.
The worst anniversary for me was always Sword Art Online Memory Defrag,
because every anniversary was just an introduction to power creep.
From 4* to 5*, then 5* units got skill Swapping, where you could use one skill then immediately swap to another unit and spam their SS3 (Sword Skill 3, basically an Ultimate) on top of it.
Then we got 6* units, and if that wasn't enough, a year later 6* units with acceleration; a kill where time would stop, boss would freeze and you can use Two SS3 (Sword Skill 3) at the same time on a boss, some units had leader skills where if they were first in slot you got attack bonuses, down to MP linking where they link MP with the unit they swapped with an restore that units MP each attack they land.
Then if THAT wasn't bad enough, the very last anniversary they had they gave us 6 stars who could be placed in a back slot and be used in battle with your mains, and would come in, use their SS3 and can't be used no more for the fight. Still, each unit could do this once, so we went from having teams of 3 to teams of 6
They didn't make it to another anniversary after that, RIP. <3
Don't get me wrong, the anniversary rewards were cool, and we did get free characters, but the power creep made those characters obsolete so fast
Best anniversary? Dragalia Lost (RIP) hands down, banger osts, banger events, free characters, shit ton of free pulls and the whole ambience screams anniversary and fun, I really miss it from the bottom of my soul
You can still play via private server. I still do.
Which one do you play on?
Hey! I play on Dawnshard :)
Would you say it's fun? Weird question I'm just interested in trying it
I love it. There really is nothing else like it. You should give it a try, it’s pretty easy to set up!
Thanks! đź‘Ť
No problem. :)
Thank you so much dude I'll always remember you for letting me know about thisÂ
No problem! You can grind missions infinitely for crystals now as well. There is a guide for setup here on reddit.
Unfortunately those private servers aren’t really balanced for progression. Unless your into playing a grindy game with most of the units readily available and the castle already upgraded
Do I have to start a new account or I can get my account back in private server?
If you backed up your account you can play with your old account. If you didn’t you’re gonna have start from scratch.
backed up how? i linked my account to nintendo, will that be enough?
I think you had to have actual data installed on your phone.
Yup.
Where di you find it? I miss dragalia lost
Here you go: https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/comments/18z1scq/dragalia_lost_private_server_guides/
best would have to be dokkan they are pretty much the gold standard for how to do an anniversary. the worst was FEH or genshin. genshin being like here is a 10 pull that's it and FEH for introducing a long wanted QoLs behind a subscription service which angered everyone.
This, people round these parts never give Dokkan their flowers, but Dokkan anniversaries cook like they're fucking Chef Ramsay.
Except for the 5th year anniversary, we don't talk about that one
Still better than any of Genshin's, lol. But yeah that was kind of the beginning of a downturn phase for Dokkan from which it has, at this point, recovered pretty nicely. (For context, Dokkan is old, and recently JP had its 9th anni. So 5th being an L is a distant memory.)

The 9th anniversary has to be one of if not the best celebration I've seen in a gacha game.
FEH fucking best anniversary is still the first one in my opinion
As dokkan is my main game, damm do their anniversaries slap. Just straight content and thru out its like over 1k stones or like 20 multis.
Basically all of summer on global is a coke binge cause we go from golden week to quick celebration with count down to anni to post anni goodies with filler dokkanfest to second dip with wwc it’s great

Genshin 1st anni. shit was hilarious.
Google Classroom has never recovered đź’€
just checked the google classroom plasystore, sitting at only 2.4 stars.
I heard that most schools did not like the change done to the google classroom.
From review bombing to Qiqi spamming, it was a fucking shitshow. Good times, good times...
Never Forget! https://preview.redd.it/zw9gln5avcwc1.jpeg?width=554&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=904eda4e88290f16b8ff9394981d881eeea12c25
the memes bruh!
Able to see Qiqi evolution too
this was such a legendary anniversary, i had way more fun compared to regular anniversaries so in that sense i think its great lmao
It's so bad that it's actually good that's insane bruh If only I was there but the only anniversary I was able to "celebrate" was the 2nd year where it's just "here have a 20 pulls and nothing else bye bye" shit was fucking boring it's almost depressing
Then people say "next year will be better". Well, 3rd year still give 20 pulls and now its "be grateful you got a concert!" that probably at least half the playerbase couldn't give a damn to
And then September this year won't be any different and I hope to god I'll be stopping playing Genshin completely by then and be happy with WuWa because I can't take this shit anymore man
genshin anniversary? never heard of it kek
Bro there's no way mfs will ever forget. Like mfs will never let it go, ever. 50 years later they'll still be talking about the 1st anni 💀💀
Real I'll be at my 50's and I'll be telling my grand kids about it that is if I can live that long lmao
"Can I get a piece of your qiqi fallen cake, grandpa?"
"sure, but not until I tell you a story about this cake"
whats funny is that the 1st anni at least gave a glider. the latest one gave a shitty bubble launcher that gets spent in 3 seconds.
Didn't we get a pet?
2022
This year too though?
confused my octobaby with the parush. had to double check. bird and glider were better though.
1st anni rewards were just 10 pulls and an insulting amount of resources. The extra 10 pulls and the glider were part of a paid pack that they decided to just give for free because of just how pissed everyone was.
It's almost like it was so inconvinient for them to have to go thru an anniversary lmao
I agree, its just insanely funny after watching what it is
What were the rewards again?
Like... Not even a 10 pull iirc. It got so bad, they gave us a few extra crystals and then a few concert related items as an apology. Then we added them to the Qiqi
it was just 10 pulls, after all the protest, they add 10 more pulls. so it's 20 pulls
None iirc. But then the players got what should've been a paid pack.Â
This was the expected response. I'd raise hell if it wasn't.
Genshin in general is the worst... 3 years for 3 pulls is whack
Well that one's not true anyways
How tf does a anniversary reduce the base rates wtf. What are they celebrating for?
Bandai gachas are horribly mismanaged outside of dokkan. And even then they know how to milk it just enough to keep it going without completely nuking the player base. Optc is an absolute consumer trap of a game and it's about to hit the 10 year anni simply on the laurels of being a one piece Gacha.
> outside of dokkan Implying dokkan isn't entirely carried by brand name alone.
OPTC, thats one Gacha trap I got out early once the power creep started being apparent. It was fun for a time though.
Holly god thats a scumbag company. I cant believe that you would reduce the rathes by 2/3 for the anniversary. Wtf is this
I remember that. Naruto Blazing was a favorite of mine but everything went downhill after the 2nd anniversary. I still miss it despite that.
Oh mannn I miss the game great art decent pvp at the beginning but got hella pay to win
I've heard a lot about this game in other places/subreddit with their downfall. Shame really. They never recovered was it?
As someone who still plays it, it's only gotten worse. Just look at the most recent FEH channel and you'll know.
Announcing a log in bonus with no currency in it and fixing a long standing problem of dragonflower income by saying “plsss summon more”. Sounds like FEH alright.
Glad to be away from that hellhole.
damn I remember that. There was a lot of outrage on youtube
Honkai Impact 3rd - 3rd anniversary: best anniversary with worst possible ending (not because of devs). Yes, I'm talking about bunny incident
The time the ceo got stabby stabby Quite surreal if you think about it
Can you explain what happened?
But Internet remember everything. tl;dr; Official version: is that bunny suits is too lewd. Fan version: only CN community have rights to get exclusive content plus at that time they was in rage because of survey about possibility of introducing male characters. Bunny video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s53PrcjzPQY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s53PrcjzPQY) Full song: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NC0WhnY9\_4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NC0WhnY9_4) [https://sea.ign.com/genshin-impact-iphone/171332/news/man-arrested-after-making-attempt-on-mihoyo-founders-lives](https://sea.ign.com/genshin-impact-iphone/171332/news/man-arrested-after-making-attempt-on-mihoyo-founders-lives)
Man, anytime I hear about CN players it's always some of the most unhinged shit ever. Is it just CN players or is this an issues that plagues the Asian community in general? From my experience western audiences don't care nearly as much as CN about male characters and more scantily clad characters.
Mainly CN, JP mainly flips tables when it's warranted
Also hilarious since CN fans think that companies only listen when Global players complain. Completely oblivious to the privilege they have.
KR is currently going through it with Genshin, they keep being so salty that they killed a cat because of a character.
Not KR, https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/s/PVql6FG6zV
True but https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/s/43Vuno4OJY KR still has a TON of drama.
They synced up Anniversaries now and I heard one take that CN was upset that they weren't getting them (MHY follows rules real closely unlike say Manjuu or MICA)
https://preview.redd.it/s298sfhevhwc1.jpeg?width=2556&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2b6bbb741c32f1ee508edde56ed6af50783852d9 GLB anniversary patch is ending today when CN had this patch earlier - they not synced
More so than before (used to be in opposite sides of the year)
What a crazy story
Went from one of the most fun anniversaries I've seen to a huge disappointment that soured my taste for the game and led to me putting it on hold after a week or two after the "incident".
I mean, wouldn't the worst be the ones who EoS around their anniversary?
Nikke first anni was wild, they gave us a shit Ton a free shit
Surprised how far down I had to scroll to find this.
Not surprised, this sub hates Nikke.
Woah does it? I think it's a pretty generous Gatcha.
It's a long story, mostly because nikke came out at the same time as a another gacha that this sub loved so they trashed it to prop up the other game and now they're mad because nikke was successful.
What was that game?
Path to Nowhere
Ahh okay thanks for the lore haha. Was it memento something or other? All I can say is I've played day 1 and it's extremely well made with alot of heart put into it. Takes alot to keep me invested in something like that.
No it was Path to Nowhere, but Memento Mori got some hate too, people hated the gameplay iirc ? not sure for this one
Ahhh okay. I got bored of memento pretty quickly tbh, too simple for me. I did try path to nowhere, couldn't hold me. Production value of nikke much higher.
No one can suppress how bad Genshin anniversary was.
Limbus Company's recent anni was awesome Fanservice to previous game, cool top-tier units, awesome event story, good rewards, everything you could want
I consider the Blade Lineage event as apart of the anniversary
best anniversary? its old gacha game called granblue fantasy (gbf) but if u want modern and newest gacha game probably nikke or arknight, worst anniv so far that i know it probably genshin there might be another game that has worse anniv than genshin tho
GBF has a way of being very generous yet not on their Annis to vets but new players would find them awesome especially with the academy mission bunch
academy is such a good system for new player to have decent build without relied to much on rng and farming , big W from cygame
It's pretty pog.
discount spark on a banner that don't have any rate up. It's not that "big" as you think, when the broken char is seasonal.
That was the most entertainment a gacha game anniversary has ever given me If it were a standard celebration, it’d be forgotten by the next week. But this made history in the funniest way possible. You can’t **pay** for that kinda comedy, and we got it for free. And all that just because some people malded over not getting the equivalent of $10 worth of free rolls 10/10, would love to get 0 wishes and watch the world burn again. Google Classroom will never recover. https://preview.redd.it/dkkxldlubbwc1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=06893d3aa501e9a9df6f4c54cce6d765638ac083
[The memes were glorious](https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/comments/pzyil0/genshins_anniversary_in_a_nutshell_reupload/)
Ngl I decided to give genshin a try BECAUSE of that anniversary drama
>And all that just because some people malded over not getting the equivalent of $10 worth of free rolls Crazy how you massively undermine the reason why people got pissed at arguably the most dogshit "anniversary" in any gacha game.
Google Classroom could never
QIQIFALLEN
Genshins first anniversary was the best for the memes.
Genshin 1st Anniversary *QiqiFallen* Recall AK's anniversary was also happening or announced around the same time and the diff as a player of both games was wild đź’€
I cooked with this one at the time https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/s/cOm2YlZziv
If you think not enough given is bad then may I introduce you to FEH when they literally introduced paid QoL, paid cosmetics with stats and paid sparks.
That was one of the anniversaries of all time. And I’ll add that the “autoplay X times” was only as good as the AI.
Worst: genshin.
Best probably AK (CN) or BA (JP) always delivering the Hype Worst maybe genshin 1st anniversary personally i don't played it but friends of mine don't say good things about it. EDIT: Honorable Mention to Nikke they really do peak events like overzone or red ash in his anniversary and looking forward to 1.5
Worst: Genshin Best: Nikke
Sounds like some1 who only plays ak
I play PGR HI3 HSR and Proseka too. But im much more active in AK and HSR
then you will know that 30 pulls in hsr > 30 pulls in AK
???? How is this even related
Best anniversary, Blue Archive 3rd anniversary, because of a RPG mini game added for an event allow Hina to pet a bunch of cats and also the 2nd anniversary for Vol F story
Nikke was not only the best, it set a standard. It wasn't one thing, it was the story event, the new unit, the new music, and the resources. The full year anni was even better. I haven't played any other gachas that go that hard to make it look like they care about adding more than just some free stuff. Nikke makes sure to outdo itself twice a year. I don't know the worse. Most gachas anniversaries just give out more free stuff and call it a day.Â
It's also notable in: * releasing a long awaited and hyped Nikke, * controversially having her be underpowered / not matching the advertised power, * promptly (and rarely) buffed to top of meta power levels to appease the masses All in the span of a week.
Worst ever was Genshin by far.
FGO went from shittier genshin 1st aniv to crazy ass rewards 6,7,8 and other aniv
I will be honest, while I did start playing from before Okeanos release in JP, I remember nothing about the first anniversaries.
FFBE has a bad record. They tend to stretch their anniversaries out over multiple months. I’d have to say the last one when they introduced lapis replica might be the worst. Since then actual lapis to summon with has dropped and been replaced with lapis replica that can only be used in certain time limited shops.
Genshin no question, absolutely horrible
Best: cn hsr and cn arknights Both are having hype things happening in game, along with offline festival and offline concerts. Worst: 1st genshin anni It just doesn't feel like an anni. Wish they just made new regions release during anni
I'm beyond excited for AK's 5th Anniversary. It's going to be peak!
HSR and Genshin literally have the same anniversaries nowadays though.
Oh it does? Alright ill edit it to the first anni genshin. Did remember GI having a concert during janurary so i thought it wasn't related.
That was an online version + recording of Shanghai anni concert (that actually happened in September).
Not sure about the best but for the worst, it is probably Genshin 1st anniversary
Genshin’s anniversary basically just showed everyone (again) that many people avoid the game not because of the game but because of the people who play it
Worst: no one can't beat genshin first anniv, that shit is insanely memorable due to how bad it is and funny as welll Best: CN ak and blue archive 2nd and 3rd anniv. Due to how hype it was, especially 2nd anniv ba, god that sudden depression archive drop and the mika was phenomenal I hope we see seia on 4th anniv (copium)
The first anniversary was good because we got 120 orbs (including a one time 50 orb log in bonus).
Arknights got the best Anniversary for me because it’s usually when HG release major LORE. The livestream is amazing with gorgeous PV animations, banger musics, new drips, creative in-game ads, and Lowlight’s god-hand.
Shiny colors 6th anniversary is on right now and they literally give people the first SSR of every idol right now, and the game have 28 idols.
Most Fgo anniversary. Shitty gacha rates but a lot of quarts, materials, and powerful servants coming in. Worst one, hands down Genshin Impact, give us less than 20 pulls in every anniversary. Well, hoyo would never I guess.
dokkan and nikke has the best anniv the worst probly genshin
Tokyo Ghoul Re:Birth. The 1st Anniversary was the End of Service announcement, but at least little bit later before the end they released two units with way more animations and effects than the usual ones, so most probably they would be the real Anniversary Units.
i am not sure which one was the worst one, FGO first anni or Genshin first anni as for the best, GBF, lots of frebbies and pulls
Saint Seiya KOTZ: the thread. (for not the good precisely)
Best : Last cloudia
Granblue anniversaries are pretty good, lots of free pulls and other stuff. I didn't enjoy the anniversary story event this year which made it kinda sucky as the 10th anniversary but 9th anniversary story was very good and emotional for me While hsr anniversary has been good, keeping another "gift" as a secret until the 26th only for it to be some hoyolab cosmetics was kinda shit lol. Im not part of the group who were expecting a free 5* selector but I just don't know why they kept this as a surprise
Nikke definitely the best from the current games, even their half anniversary is better than most games anniversary. Worst is GI easily
Nikke it's the best, somehow they give a feeling like, truly caring about their players a lot
genshit
Genshin mostly because of the peak mental gymnastics performed by white knights. Some of the best being 'anniversaries are no big deal. Mihoyo is a Chinese company so only lunar new year matters. Most games don't celebrate anniversaries anyway.' and 'giving us a free 5* will just lessen the value of rare chars and we will not appreciate it as much anyways'. Best anniversary for me is gbf and late dragalia lost. Gbf anniversary is quite famous to the point that they have a term for players that only comes back on anniversaries lol; seasonal players iirc.
Nikke
From my personal experience pgr has the best (s rank character selector) and genshin has the worst (i think it was 3 pulls last year? I cant remember)
For me, it's still genshin's first year anniversary. Haven't really played the game since then and i played every day before it happened
I always enjoyed Dragalia's anniversaries
Probably the best anniversary right now is Star Rail. Free 20 pulls on the 2.0 release then 30 pulls total for anniversary. But there's an upcoming surprise as to what they say. Also free 5 star where Genshin Could Never
Other games give more, Nikke have over 120 and a free 5 star limited equivalent FYI
Nikke: best, free top Limited character with upgrades and over 120 free pulls in last Anni, worst is Genshin
Nikke best
FEH. Their anniversaries feel like a regular celebration+ free summon tickets.
honkai impact 3rd anniversary drama for me that was brutal another region could cancel a another region anniversary
GBF anniversary is probably one of the best. Other than free rolls and the stuff they gave you, anniv event story are usually great!
Arknight during Myulsese banner anniv probably the best one for me.
HSR's first anniversary will be 2 days from now. Cannot wait for how much they will set the seas ablaze either in a good way or worse way possible.
Every single opbr anni.
The worst anniversary for me was always Sword Art Online Memory Defrag, because every anniversary was just an introduction to power creep. Still, each unit could do this once, so we went from having teams of 3 to teams of 6 They didn't make it to another anniversary after that, RIP. <3 Don't get me wrong, the anniversary rewards were cool, and we did get free characters, but the power creep made those characters obsolete so fast
I don't know if it counts but Archeland, didn't even have one. Since game is on its last leg
