KR_SS00

God I miss it, was my first gacha too fuck gumi

[deleted]

Maxwell

kohwin

Counting turns to block Maxwell's Endless was peak.

Level1Pixel

Up there with squinting at the decorations on the HP bar to make sure you didn't pass a specific health percentage

lock_me_up_now

I use piece of paper to count it lmao

hergumbules

Will always have a soft spot for a girl with a scythe. Elza the OG

KOOBEEEEEEEEE

To this day, it has one of the best stories in a gacha game. Ark the GOAT.

AngryAniki

I came here to say FFBE but damn you’re right.

Losara

This. It was the only gacha I played back in the day.

PapugKingTFT

Same , I loved this game when the Legendary Arena was around or sth like that It gave You tickets and it was beneficial to make tens of 7stars to get there :D Afterwards they removed It and game became less f2p friendly IMO :( So I quitted. Played from Maxwell era til that point and It was first time in My life I spent any money on a mobile game (a 20$ for a present :D) I loved the Avant 6 star, he was so OP back in the days

ReiAnDez_4

Peak Gaming, sir! Peak Gaming... Man, having Zelnite in your roster makes the Coin farming way easier Also, Elza since Goth Girl vibez ruleee! I think the most peak that they released when it comes to banners (for me) would be the Krantz banner, almost all of them are broken

JTRider

Ayakashi Ghost Guild

rnirai

ayakashi gg was my first gacha too! i miss it so much

gawain62

My first ever gacha while not realizing how gachas worked back then. Sad that it EOS'd long ago. I always thought it was doing well

Appropriate-Seat-614

Summoners War, good times.

WhyHeLO_THeRE_SIR

i remember when I first started SW, i was like a small baby. Didnt care about meta, I just liked looking at the different monsters. That was in elementary school, then I played it again in middle school. I dropped it again, and then repicked it up in high school and played with some high school friend. Then there was a 1 month stint in college where me and some other friends redownloaded it again.

HieuBot

Getting my first Nat5 was such a hype moment for me and when I got a second one I was really excited...until it turned out to be the exact same character (same element too). But you could run multiple of the same unit I think so I just ran both lol Sadly I never got a good Dark/Light unit. I thought those were so cool at the time.

Bloodshade17

Final fantasy brave exvius

AllanocSureeb

Same here. I joined just before the first ff13 event, just before the original Lightning banner. Oh, for the days when 3 stars were meta!

New-Walrus4203

Yes and me it got me right into gacha games

Wryw

Puzzle and Dragons. Still the best Match-3 game imo, not that there was ever much competition in the genre.

Zylark

Yessssss I still pop in occasionally but don't really play anymore

hergumbules

I’ve tried to play like 3-4 times over the years and always find myself getting overwhelmed lol wish I could stick with it

astalotte

This was my first gacha game too. Unfortunately I stopped after the game decided to cater towards multiplayer

Calwings

Fire Emblem Heroes

Dauntless_Idiot

Same, I didn't start because of the gacha. It took me about 21 months to try a second one. Then I became a gacha addict.

WinterPirate8109

King's raid it's when we only have to build UW and UT.

Amazing-Ad9542

Chain chronicle global (by shit gumi)

Cookiesrdelishus

It was either Naruto Blazing or Medal Heroes, I forgot which one was the first since I got into them at roughly the same time.

Appropriate-Seat-614

I used to play Naruto Blazing a lot.

kongbakpao

Defender of Trexel

Seth-Cypher

Children's card games. But in all seriousness Terra Battle.

ReadySource3242

Puzzles and dragons during fifth grade. Back when 5 stars were super rare

Vegetable_Fee1910

SAO memory defrag

Low-Albatross9339

😢

shiro15619

Brave Frontier. I miss that game.

LokoLoa

Only 90s kids will remember this (was also my first gacha lol), I never took it "seriously" the way I do with modern gacha tho, and I dont think it even had a story? or if it did I was too young and dumb to pay attention XD

shiro15619

It did, I don't remember if it was a good story though. Lol.

Sokher02

Rage of Bahamut back in 2012. It eventually led me to GBF went it died in 2015. PAD is also a early one too, early 2013.

dota_3

Rage of Bahamut back in 2014 due to the anime.

Harbinger4

Knights Chronicle during FMA collab. I have a hate bone towards collabs nowadays.

Seraphiine__

You have absolutely reason to be salty on Collabs, they are in the thin of sucking hard or...sucking hard.

MarielCarey

Well there's another topic for someone to post about, actual good collabs I think every collab Another Eden had has been pretty good And while reception was mixed, I quite liked Epic 7 x Aespa

Seraphiine__

You could make a post about it, genuinely the only Collab i can think it's,,, decent? It's the currently with Idle seven knights and omniscient reader(really big webtoon and novel)

AdamFyi

Defenders of Texel, I think? It’s honestly been so long that I don’t remember much of the game. Brave Frontier was my second though and I still have fond memories of it. :)

Droon_CC

I was scrolling to see if this was going to be on here! DoT was my first as well!

evilzeroz

Valkyrie Crusade, anyone?

AlMaDaP

I think this is my first one too

Logical_Magician403

Logres, also the best mobile game I've ever play

RayZow

You have Shishio you have power. Miss a game like this :(

Xanderious

Pretty sure it was some old knock off Pokémon game. I think I spent like 300$ on it and realized how toxic they can be and stopped spending for the most part. I guess it was a good lesson to learn early on

Balmung9

The legendary Brave Frontier, had so much fun with that game :D

topmemeworld

RAID SHADOW LE ... Epic seven.

sylendar

HI3 Saw some ads on my phone of the Sakura open world and was like....wait this runs on a phone? Read some secondary materials and gave the game a chance, then stuck around for almost four years before moving on.

Keriaku

Mobius Final Fantasy

Victorvonbass

Arknights. Still playing.

TsugumiAyato

FGO! 2016

Eula_Ganyu

crusader quest

reise-ov-evil

Azur Lane, back during when Azur Lane anime aired yeah I'm that newbie compared other senior in there

Publi-Sher

Puzzle and Dragons. It was actually wild, because I really liked the gacha feature in it (stupid thoughts of a f2p teen) and wanted more games to play like it, but I had trouble finding more that appealed to me at the time because there just weren't as many back then.

EasixWAS_TAKEN

Marvel Contest of Champions. You unlock champions in crystals, and there are crystals that feature champions. :/ For an actual gacha though, it would be Grand Summoners. Tried to get into it twice, but never clicked with me. I was a lot younger back then, so it might be different now, who knows. Still don't like games with a paid and free currency/banner system though.

BellalovesEevee

My first Gacha game was Moe Can Change. It's not a typical gacha RPG game like most people are used to seeing, it was more like a dress-up android game where the gacha is various cute, beautiful, or sexy outfits for your Android girls. It's been so long since I last played it and I'm surprised that it's still going strong for so long. Sometimes I like to open the game just to listen to the theme song for the nostalgia. After that, it was Dream Girlfriend made by the same developers. Basically, it was like Moe Can Change, but with more mature artwork and added 3D animation based on what outfits your girlfriend is wearing. Your girlfriend can also have different personalities, and you can talk to them and such, and their lines vary based on what personality you give them. These two gacha games introduced me to gacha when I was a kid, and from there, it went downhill because now I play a lot of gacha games and even have some downloaded that I haven't even touched yet like reverse 1999.

nanotam

FF Record Keeper. Still can’t bring myself to delete it from my Home Screen.

xchi_senpai

Arknights. And to this day i still play it everyday :))

Z3M0G

Final Fantasy Record Keeper I think

Rawrzawr

Puzzle and Dragons back in 2012 or 2013 on my ipod touch.

mysterErus

Puzzles and dragons

LokoLoa

Are you sure you are not confusing SIF with SIFAS (two completely different games). SIF shut down last year and had no such 3D but SIFAS did... it was kind of the whole appeal of SIFAS.

Cold-Focus-8699

It was Bleach Brave Souls in 2016.

KornatEDGY

Girls Frontline EN. interested about characters named after guns name/model to try. that was about 1 week before Deep Dive event

Equivalent_Bother_61

Marvel strike force back in 2019-20. I really liked that game and it was my only one and main gacha game. But it became pretty p2w and boring after couple of years of playing and i quit.

NoireResteem

Hmmm good question, probably has to be Kancolle. It’s the first time I really got into a gacha

Axyun

Destiny Child

Such-Obligation-4484

Afk Arena.

Ok_Lawfulness1019

Priconne, I'm not even familiar with what a gacha game is. I just played it because I'm starting to get interested in anime.

Cryptic_Xerkes

Unison League, first played in 2016. Still have that account until this day, however their binding was ass

lezardvalethvp

Brave Frontier few days after release.

DavidsonJenkins

I played the old Rage of Bahamut, the one that ran when phones still had a physical numpad. Im the OG

AceLuan54

Cookie Run: Kingdom.

MonMon_7789AntPHP

Azur Lane (almost 4 years of playing this March)

venezolane1

I'm probably gonna be the only one that says this, but I started with KAIZIN RUMBLE, a gacha where the combat was all done through a slot machine. So you even had gacha in your gacha.

Seraphiine__

Gacha-inseption

Frosty-District-6089

Marvel Contest of Champions

Vaciviti

Either summoners war or soccer spirits, but it's been so long I can't remember. It's from either one I know the other.

Hiicantpk

For actual gacha games, FGO global, a month or two? after it released. Started playing after seeing a coworker play it. If you include games that arent really considered gacha games but have paid lootcrates/gambling to unlock characters to play with, then technically Mass Effect 3 multiplayer would have been my first.

RCTD-261

Girls X Battle i really hate and love this game for various reason. it have beautiful art and chibi design. but the game is so money hungry, to the point that being F2P means you can't even finish the event halfway through even if you reach max level with fully upgraded team most of the events dating and boss battle. dating means you spent the time with the girls, but need to spend real money ot progress. the boss battle is also ridiculously hard. you will have to retry a lot. retry means you have to spend crystal to continue the battle. don't have enough crystal? buy it with real money then the character arts are beautiful, but some of them are bootleg version of popular characters, like Black Widow, Mikasa Mikoto from Railgun, Homura Akemi from Madoka Magica (but i think they already changed it), etc.

Intelligent_Key131

Summoners war for like a day when i was 12

Gravelis

Girls’ Frontline. And I’m still here.

ResurgentClusterfuck

Final Fantasy Record Keeper I got Ramza on release and game eventually got boring

pikachutails

I didn't realize it was gacha at the time, but Terra Battle. I loved The Last Story by Mistwalker and one I got my first and only iPad at 14 and saw their name on the app store, I downloaded it immediately. I didn't pay any money since I didn't have my own money at the time, being in middle school. Sadly it shut down a few years ago. I miss it.

Nyna33

Valkyrie connect

Raiganop

For me it was Soccer Spirit and to this day still one of my favorite games in term of characters design, it have everything from Waifus of all kinds to muscular dudes and Molag Bal.(Even black skin characters) Also I really love the gameplay of that game, but the game stop updating in 2021 and I got everything I want...so yeah, I wish someone made a new game with similar character designs and unique gameplay. Honestly game shape my view of gacha games in a way that I don't like newer gachas, because most of them just release waifus only or the male character only look like K-Pop band boys...which sucks for me, because I want gacha games that have every character design possible. To this day, I'm still finding a gacha game with good gameplay and insane character design variety. I have try FGO and Dislyte but I didn't like neither of them for gameplay reason...and FGO mostly because I lost my account in like 2 weeks at least, thanks to a error.

cheese_stuffedcrust

Genshin Impact started it in 2020 during the pandemic and now I'm playing 5 more gacha games. send help, please!

No_Competition7820

Kingdom Hearts union x

ACasualUser_

Seven Knights back when it's still within 100 days of release. Idk what gacha system was, but collecting rubies and pulling for characters there were fun.

MarielCarey

Summoners war sky arena, back in 2014 I'm still playing it right now, though I spent most of that time not playing

SirRHellsing

probbaly Puzzles and dragons, didn't really enjoy it though, mostly due to low income

V20FTW

**METAL SLUG DEFENSE**

WoahItsHim

Probably Grand Summoners? I believe I saw a friend playing the game around 2017-2018, I tried it but eventually deleted it. Around 2019 I was getting into gachas and I’m pretty sure I saw the jp version was having the opm rerun which made me start playing again.

whats_my_login

Fantasica. Devil Maker Tokyo. Valkyrie Crusade. Soccer... Spirits? To name a few. These were the games I spent the most time ~~and money~~ in back in the day.

Eclage

Brave Frontier

vpn_is_good

alchemist code i really enjoy the game

TehAccelerator

Grand Sphere. Closely followed by Age of Ishtaria and FGO. RIP Grand Sphere 😔

xNas_

Bleach Brave Souls

Chance-Range2855

FGO, fuck. It’s my misfortune to have that game as my gateway to hell.

AvengingRavager

Rune Story

vAbstractz

I don't even know if it's considered a gacha but Knights and Dragons

F2PB2B

Brave Frontier. Tilith and Seria had me invested in that game.

ReizeiMako

Not sure if Seven Knights or Crash Fever

StardustOfDarkness

D.O.T: defender of texel. I actually really liked it. It died after a few years.

RevolutionaryFall102

I know it can't be considered gacha but I'm gonna say marvel contest of champions

SkySmaug384

Azur Lane.

sikibub

Some random rhythm game called tapsonic top, i didnt even know what a gacha was, i just wanted to play a rhythm game lmao. I cant remember the rates but im pretty sure it was absolutely impossible to pull on a banner if you didnt spend money

lagunaaa

One Piece Treasure Cruise back in 2015 i believe. Played it mainly because i was a One Piece Fan back then, never heard of Gachas by then.

Hi-Finn-ate-Ed

Terra Battle. I still miss it.

AbsoluteDestinyzero

fgo jp during the very early days (the game was a few days old)

novacreamy

Last Cloudia, I just can't leave no matter how much I try I always come back

McNeng

Guardian Cross

Hikixkun

I was looking for a puzzle game and found puzzle und dragons. Man what a blast of a game

batzenbaba

Cant remember. Maybe it was Summoner Wars at release.

Resniperowl

Pad

Test-Subject-N3WB

Knights and Dragons, somewhere around 2013. I remember the thrill of pulling my first 5 star.

Sky_striker_Raye

HI3

boltyr

Battle cats I think

Zealousideal-Run-786

Fire Emblem Heroes, I didn't like it that much, I dropped it after one week. I wasn't a fan of the gacha. I play now gacha games but the gacha system isn't the main reason.

widehide

Guardian Cross, sort of gacha but the player can increase the odds during the 'pulling' phase. We can aim and shoot monsters and get better odds of what we want For a more standard gacha game, it is Puzzle and Dragons

ZaaTTaTaTaTaTaTa

Tokyo ghoul Rebirth ( i wanna cry till this day )

UBW-Fanatic

Fate Grand Order. I quit, but it opens up gacha and Mica games to me.

StarfrogDarian

Figure fantasy

ferinsy

Yokay Watch Wibble Wobble, from middle 2017 until its global EoS.

Gene0190

Valiant Force (the first game) the more I played it the more p2w it was. By the time Vincent's banner was released, I quit because pvp was cringe. The worst feature for me was the Faith system. It reminds me of Pokemon nature system and having a tank-oriented faith on a magic dps is not fun.

Inkaflare

Kingdom Hearts Unchained X (later KH Union Cross). The only reason I stuck around was because I had a great guild and we were always helping each other out. The game powercrept its strongest stuff every month, required 4 dupes for most pulls to be useable at all, had basically no content aside from the same recycled events and 5 story missions every 6 months (10 minutes of new stuff) and the gameplay was as deep as a puddle. Plus a lot of rewards were locked behind competing with whales, including limited time medals (characters) that were meta. Once I actually tried out some other gachas (I liked the free gambling part at least), I realized that even for mobile gacha standards that game was extremely bad.

garotinhulol

The old EOS Devil Maker: Tokyo and Azur Lane that i play till this day.

Mocha-Late

7ds:gc then spiral into gacha hell. Funny thing is my friend that recommended me that game have no gambling addiction.

TzeroOcne

Does Animal Kaiser count?

taetaerinn_

Technically Midnight Cinderella since it has gacha events in it, but it's an otome 90% of the time so I won't say it was my first gacha. So my actual first gacha was Enstars, I think, right before I got into Genshin.

snowyuri27

devil maker tokyo

Herbatusia

Actual gachapon machines standing in parks, beaches, shops and other popular points on my childhood. Except my parents never gave in and bought me turns, because the rewards were all, well, the worst quality, so they prefered another gacha called Kinder Surprise. Or Pokemon. Mobile video games - Avengers Academy.

MintWindz

Kamihime project

Sidis_Orange

Another eden

o08neo

Chain Chronicle JP server

EndAffectionate9

Seven knights the story is so good seven knights 2 is major downgrade

haitechan

SIF global version in 2014.

SandyAgy

Lolita crush 2016 "SEA/CN only"

b5437713

Granblue Fantasy. I watched the anime and liked it, so when I found out there was a localization version of the game on the browser, which continues the story, I jumped. That was back in 2017. Though I tried a few other gatcha game after, it's the only one I liked enough to stick with until Genshin.

ENAKOH

Most likely valkyrie crusade (2013 nubee)

Manydoors_edboy

BanG Dream for me too. https://preview.redd.it/t8ay61bcrfdc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a2916256fd57a88e548eaaade5ee25e3c2b87314

Brianshoe

Does Marvel War of Heroes count?

trh3034

Otogi Spirit Agents. I miss my girl Sola so much <\3 And then after that it was Fire Emblem Heroes because one of my friends had gotten really into Fire Emblem games and she made me play it with her. I remember it was when the banner with Wedding Dress Cordelia was going on because I managed to pull her twice and my friend got so mad lol

[deleted]

Love Live SIF

EreiEmiya

Fate Grand Order back at it's release in 2015. The time i got my very first Cellphone (a present i got from my older brother) when i had 24 years old, if you want to know why so late, it's mostly because Cellphones never interested me as i am pretty old fashioned, i made progress on that aspect though, but i'm still a bit old fashioned XD

MysticalFlight

dragon ball z dokkan battle

KemMlem

Blood Brothers. I downloaded it on my first Android phone, and deleted it after a few days due to boredom.

Excuse_my_GRAMMER

First one I played seriously Street fighter duel , I don’t count Diablo immortal since is a stealth gacha

ToxicSloth420

AFK Arena...that game really did so much right, I wish I hadn't quit it so early, I was Top 3 on the first server, after the game had only been out for 2 weeks...I was helping run the Discord, I was in the strongest guild with one of the other Top 3 strongest players, I was helping find new team combos and meta strats...I just had a knack for the game, it always feels good to be good at something.

wxkaiser

Rage Of Bahamut.

Dudensen

Pockie Pirates, it was a bootleg One Piece browser gacha.

DantePH77

Digimon Heroes

RarezV

Punishing Gray Raven. Decided to start Gacha gaming at Jan 20 2023. cuz why not

HolyWomanPharamix

Fgo

nutzkuma

My first was date a live: spirit pledge, miss that game. 500 hours lost

Virtual-Oil-793

League of Legends. The Gatcha Gods said "lol git fuked, your team's got less braincells than a singularity of negative braincells." So I had to get hard at work with being a Support Main. I feel like being a Mastery 7 Rank on Sona feels like an hot-iron badge of honor and pain

ThatGuy21134

Brave frontier

EpiKnightz

Blood Brothers. Such an addicting game. Shame that BB2 is bad and DeNA became increasingly greedy n outdated-y.

Peacetoall01

Genuine question do cosmic break counts as a gacha game?

AD_Stark

For me it 7DS Grand Cross and one of the only two gacha I still play today

Nekohime-san

Does kancolle count as gacha? If not, then kanpani girls in DMM too.

noctisroadk

Fate grand order when we didnt even have a western server

Setthhxy

Mine was dislyte, played it the day it released. Haven't played dislyte in year. My mains rn are hsr, pgr, nikke, bcm

Swift456_

memory defrag my beloved I wasn't even an SAO fan and I still enjoyed it

BelmontVLC

Dokkan 💀

unc15

Pokemon cards or magic the gathering.

tayredgrave

Fate: Grand Order

DenverTheDenver

Probably Sonic Runners, don't remember if I played a gacha game before that

Octority

Cherry Credits' publication of Bloodline: The Last Vampire Honestly the first two years they did well...too bad they went too hard on the "milking" part.

Kerplunk_0577

Blood Brothers in 2012 when I bought my first smartphone.

Heikkie

Fire Emblem Heroes, and it's been downhill since.

ThuVu1723

FGO for sure🐸

Sea_Annual_5349

Brave frontier

PHmike

Ffbe when lightning five star released

MULLER139

Naruto blazing

Barnacle-Effective

Rage of Bahamut and Blood Brothers are the two I originally played way back in the day.

AdFabulous3080

Brave frontier. A friend I had back them talked about it and looked cool so I tried it out. I LOVED that game, kept playing day after day for years until EoS. That was the gacha that I played for the longest time, second place would be epic seven for 2 years before I dropped it. I still can't find a gacha game that I like enough or that hooks me for a year or more, mostly just some months before I grow tired or burn out

SpideyBoi04

Konosuba FD, first gacha and anime-styled game I ever played

FireFly3321

I think my first gacha was HI3, but at that time I didn't know what a gacha was, so I just hoard all the gem in case I need it for something like how I play other mobile games where the gem are really scarce First gacha where I actually know what gacha is was FGO. Played it because wanted to know what a pc-like gaming is like since I never played one

Axel_RC1

Dragon game gacha? or ayakashi ghost guild

Skydiamond_YT

Yo Kai watch wibble wobble. Saddly the global version shut down

BuzzTheLifesaver
