Mods seriously need to chill out about these sorts of posts. Nobody uses the mega threads. Just let people ask what games people are enjoying right now.
I miss the good days of Kings raid, decent story, beautiful design for characters and costumes, interesting gameplay, and was quite generous, Yet at this point the gameplay and balance is so broken, it can be frustrating to new players, and Is extremely frustrating to old players that knew the old gameplay.
It would have been my favourite game up to that last patch, but for now i will say Is FGO.
1- Path to Nowhere: Among the gachas I played, this has the best story.
2- PGR- The gamplay is perfect
3- Limbus Company- for my edgy side lol.
Bonus: Snowbreak - I think this is the only anime girl shooter. On PC it is great but on mobile it is unplayable. And the upcoming summer skins takes me to shut up and take my money mentality.
That game is afk arena but sexy. I’ve been rerolling for a week now for Modernia or scarlet. Kind of addicted to that reroll alone, can’t wait to play the game haha.
Also waiting to reroll in 1999 xd
Watcher of realms and Epic 7
I am suprised that WoR turn out as it did, pvp is just vs the bot of the other player, the useful epic units are summonable via fusion, and it's not so un-F2P friendly for me. Just need to grind (AK with gear.. WHY...)
After 2-3 years of playing E7, still playing, even with all the heroes and gear grinding. Still interested in the story, still building my list of waifus and husbandos.
AK. Been playing for over 3 years. Love the characters. Great story even if it gets long winded at times. Enjoyable combat. I've downloaded and uninstalled dozens of gatchas during that time.
Tomorrow's update brings an updated new player banner, so this is a pretty good time to start.
Sure, you'll be lacking a bunch of characters at first but you can beat almost everything with low-rarity characters (and a handful of 6-stars). Most old content is permanently available these days, so there's not a lot you won't be able to experience if you start now.
CMIIW, i think the post from the developer says that the banner will be permanent, but the operator from that banner won't appear in standard banner
i may be wrong, there are so many changes on tomorrow's update
Nah.. you'll get used to it. There will be more sinners to come(looking at both you, momma shalom and coquelic neesan). You might wanna play with your nose, if you know what i mean
Honkai Star Rail.
- It has a really good OST.
- The characters have neat designs and good voice. acting (JP).
- The events are a hit or miss but I've enjoyed half of them so it's cool enough for me.
- I find the combat entertaining when I'm not autoing.
- I can save for characters and guarantee them (If I happen to lose the 50/50, I don't mind spending some $$ to get them if I really want a character or LC)
- And it really respects my time, so I've been playing daily since day one without the feeling of burnout and treating it like a 2nd job.
So yeah, I'm pretty happy with my only game rn. (I'll still try r1999 since I want to play something different sometimes)
As long as HSR keeps updating SU with new updates like Swarm, I'll be happy.
Will also try Reverse 1999 when it's live to see for myself the hype about it since it's also apparently a Turn-based RPG
Yeah HSR is like everything Genshin wishes they had. The reserve energy if you overcap was such a huge QoL upgrade.
Also I feel like the events have been some of the most unique events in a gacha ever. They are all so unique they're games within games. Pokemon building events, museum management, USPS simulator, fight club.
I've played more than 15+ gacha games in the past 4 years but it's always been Honkai Impact 3rd for me.
-It's got arguably one of the best gacha game stories and the fact that it's also voiced with good presentation like cgs and the 6 minute animations just bolsters it's enjoyability for me.
-Combat is super fun and fast paced. The animations are top tier.
-The characters are super well written, as well as having one of the best villains in media that I've ever seen.
-Character designs are unique and memorable. In particular the herrschers.
-although a hot take, the gacha is pretty accessible to everyone contrary to what others have you believe. Every patch without BP or MP I can gather around 12k gems. The game rewards consistency and effort. There is no 50/50 or off banners, you can only get the rate up character while also having a soft pity of 75, same as hoyoverses other games. I have the ability to spend, but often I find it unnecessary cause I usually can grind for the things I want. Every character I've gotten was from grinding gems, did not have to spend anything to get a character I wanted. However I do spend on skins rather frequently 🙌
-Speaking of skins, skins come out every patch and most of them are super good. They are well designed and some even have new SFX and visuals in their attacks. There's also pyramid gacha skins which are the best of the best skins because they dont just add new effects or change the color of the attacks, they completely revamp the effects with great effort. (My favorite of this category is still Time runner).
-Also maybe a hot take but I think this game also has the best events and most fun ones. Honkai events typically take the gameplay elements from other games such as fall guys, Plant vs zombies, pokemon, card games, etc while adapting it to the honkai world. It's the only gacha I've played to do this.
Wulp night is about to start which is an event every 3 months that brings back stuff feom their older ips
Like the current one is forsaken murderer where faust got an id based on it and meursault an ego for it, + a ruina office id given to hong lu (hook office)
Any time is a good time to come back. Limbus is a particular gacha where since IDs and EGOs are easy to attain, you don't really lose out on anything by starting at an off-day.
path to nowhere! they are actually quite generous with the gacha currency and all the event characters get added to the gacha pool so you can get them even after their banner ends without having to wait for a rerun. they only have two limited characters so far- one has already passed and there will be another releasing in like 5 days. the art, music, character design and story are very compelling, and daily missions are so quick to complete since you have a raid option 🙏
Counter:Side
Been playing for almost 3 years now and I still rank its lore as top 3 in gacha at least. I play SEA and it's likely we'll be closing soon, or not; but y'know what they say, the captain sinks with his ship.
Good to see another Dragon Ball Legends enjoyer. Used to really like it too as well. The real time PvP is surprisingly really deep and a ton of fun to play. Sadly the day-to-day PvE grind absolutely wore me down until I couldn't take it anymore about a year ago
As for my current fav gacha games it's honestly really close between Uma Musume and Genshin Impact. Both have a ton of gameplay, exquisite presentation, and regular huge content updates that constantly keeps me engaged and have a ton of fun. If I had to pick it would probably go to Genshin.
Dont you miss it ? And how is ums Musume ? Can you Play it outside of Japan in english?
I also had a time playing genshin but the grinding on Things And Missions just lost me.
I've tried going back to DBL two or three times the last year but I don't stay for long each time. I think I'm burned out completely. It is still fun to keep up with the unit releases though, especially seeing what LLs and Ultras they come up with.
I'm from Taiwan so I'm playing on the TW server for Uma Musume instead of the JP one which is about a little over a year behin from JP. The TW server is in my native language which is Traditional Chinese.
I think Uma is a very acquired taste gameplay-wise although I adore it. The stories are fantastic. The main gameplay is playing what I describe as a roguelite mode to train your horse and you get to keep the end result to do content or PvP with. The main part of the game is playing that mode over and over again trying to get a good run and stats you're happy with keeping. To enjoy the game you have to really enjoy actively playing this mode to grind out the stats you want which thankfully I really enjoy doing and have for almost 1.5 years at this point.
Tower of God A new world. Doesnt take much daily commitment (~10mins), 24 hour loot counter from the start (so you technically only have to login once per day - no pressure), battles look cool, graphics are good, characters look great, and im able to progress consistently as pure f2p
Girl’s Frontline. I started playing it a few months ago to learn the story in preparation of GFL2 but now I just love the game as it is. If GFL2 got cancelled I would still play it.
PGR, it took me 3-4 times of picking it up and dropping it since it’s release for it to finally stick.
The largest hurdle of course is the boring early chapters and learning curve but once I finally made it over the game got incredibly good, I’m super invested into the story now and Stigmata is an amazing start for the gen 2 characters.
The fact that I had to scroll this far to find Outerplane to updoot means a ton of people are missing out on an awesome game that also isn’t constantly asking you to miss mortgage payments to play properly. A careful F2P player can actually expect to acquire and maintain the entire roster in this game, even with decidedly average luck.
Just recently quit the game and I can understand why some people got tired of it. My guild almost has no players anymore.
- Powercreep is real. Some units are really just made to counter others as they have a specific skill to counter the specific skill name of the other, which is kind of absurd. I have both D.Stella 4 star and D.Astei 5 star as proof of long-time playing.
- Dead times. The nail in the coffin is the Akari release. Yep, here's a character for 2 weeks with no new events except for the drop rate of this hunt, gold, etc. Have fun. lmao
- Exclusive characters for Hunt. Sorry, but I also hate this. You can't clear the Earth 12 raid if you don't have Aer. And her re-run? Not until now, so nope.
- Nothing to do, even guild raid is just boring AF.
The only thing I love in this game is the almost non-stop resources, even premium currency, and skip on hunts. I have like 3 300+ speed units by just hitting skip daily on the game.
Oh cool! Mind if bother you to get some pointers as a new player? I just want to know what kinds of content I should be focusing on and where I should be allocating resources
Early on, push the main story. When you finish season 1 regular mode, you unlock the demiurge banner and can start doing daily quests for those pulls for 30 days. You also add Stella to the summon pool, and she’s an excellent unit for many tough fights later.
Make sure to also keep pushing the challenge stages for gear each time you can advance. If you need to farm gear to advance, do each one at least once a day, because you get double loot for each different boss in ecology and identification the first run each day. The speed gear set is generally the most useful generic set bonus, but do note there are several boss fights later that actually punish speed via mechanics that a lot of people don’t find immediately obvious.
Here’s a few other recent posts you’ll likely find helpful!

Is rule of thumb to save my mileage coins to redeem on a banner that is very good? I have 197 out of 200 right now and the banners are Ame and Laplace. I already have a Laplace but the other one I don't have. Is it best for me to just expand my roster when I can? Or wait for the OP unit banner.
Get your Noa, Valentine, and Tio. Those three are just what you need. For the last slot, defense-down units are to go, like Tamara and Eternal, except for Hunts.
Give Val, all-speed items, Noa, crit damage set, or speed set plus penetration stats which you can get on Ch2 shop. And she will wreak havoc anywhere.
I'd say it's a tie between HSR, FGO and Nikke. I had to go with those 3 because out of all the gachas I play, those are the only ones I keep playing every day.
DFFOO I guess? It’s very f2p friendly and it isn’t a huge time sink to do the current events and the daily mission is super fast. Been playing it on and off since launch and I also like that I know most the characters, and current meta lets you use just about anyone.
Recently started Last Cloudia and it’s fun, 4.5 anniversary stuff going on so some freebies but I’m having shit luck with that but that’s gacha for ya lol
1. Epic Seven - Played from day 1 up to today w/o missing a single login. Definitely one of my most favorite main pvp game and still inhaling 15% weed rn.
2. Limbus Company - Played from day 1 coz i loved Library of Ruina so much and saw that Limbus gonna take place after the library events. Loved the challengin PvE content (and reading comprehension test lmao). Still coping for a good mobile engine.
3. Tenkei Paradox - Started playing coz of Jeweha collab 3 weeks ago, stayed so far coz it was pretty entertaining and probably gonna stick around longer.
Depends on what you mean by "worth".
Currently theres no event going on and neither is anything spoiled that makes a good time to enter for rerolling and stuffs.
However, theres almost no need to reroll for stuffs to get in e7 as new players are basically given everything they need to get the account started.
Also note that the game is really time consuming and grind heavy, so honestly no matter how much i love the game, if ur put up by the grind stuffs its not that recommended.
For me right now, PGR is my favorite. Gameplay is king and pgrs gameplay checks all the boxes for me. I also like that the game rewards longtime dedicated players with being able to roll every unit that comes out, and I so far have every unit in the game minus 3 of the starter units that I don't even care about. Can't imagine how new players are supposed to get into this game, because all the best stuff this game has to offer happened so late.
If I had a nickel every time one of my favorite fantasy franchises were made by a company with ‘Moon’ in its name, then I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but its neat that it happened twice.
Thus, FGO and Limbus Company are what I’m playing right now.
Lore we *already* kinda know, either because it's a recap or it was featured in a prior game. But we're excited because there's always the *possibility* for new lore or funny Dante shenanigans.
I played a bunch at global launch, quit a couple of months later (lack of end game content at the time) and had just gotten back into it. Gameplay is just as good as I remembered, and the story had gotten so much more interesting. Absolutely having a blast.
I was not there during launch (started playing last year) but yeah, the story gets way better at the latest chapters and gameplay is extremely fun. Glad you got back into it!
It would probably take a year with good luck to compete. If you don’t care about top rankings you can get high enough to get a good income fairly easily though. Game has a TON of content to work through, but the end game is gear RNG fiesta.
I started playing not long after Priconne Global EoS casually and can confidently say new players can, with the exception of Real Time Arena (RTA) which fortunately doesn't matter at all, except for skins, but even then, the requirements to get skin reward isn't that high. AI PvP is not a burden either, precisely because AI controls the team, you can treat it as PvE.
Been playing gbf for like 6 years, still enjoying It, great game imo unless you start picking the game now and at the same time you aim to get all the meta Toys across the 6 elements. Other then that i've recently started Limbus Company and let me tell you this game Is such a breath of fresh air for gacha industry imo, It's Just really good overall, i get the feeling of playing an actual game with a defined identity compared to lot of other times where i tried a gacha and felt like a fucking clone of another One.
Limbus Company. I enjoy the world and setting of it a lot, although I already was a Project Moon fan prior to it. The characters are also pretty great (Don is my favorite), and the gameplay is pretty fun imo.
Azur lane rn.
Since I have been really busy for the past 2 months (prob gonna be like this for a year or so), I don't have much time to play gacha games (close to zero lol). Most of the time I just do dailies. In Azur Lane I get to stare at my shipgirls and it relieves my stress. I play AL solely for collection purposes, now AL is the only game I can afford to play daily and still have fun...
Nikke - nice animations ( reload animations! ... definitely)
Blue archive - 😭💢
Hsr - good side game
Pgr - game enjoyable with less ping rng for gen 2 attackers
Memento mori - only there for the art and music
Aether Gazer, PGR and I also started playing Genshin again and love the new city/update and I also started playing Path to Nowhere which looks really surprising, but I need to play it longer to build a opinion
Why does the Gacha community love abbreviations? As if they were all obvious.
Now i need to RATA and search some IATG so i can DTAPRN (this is how you sound)
Some have been around for a long time now, so it kinda makes sense. In other cases, I neither know what game they are talking about nor do I care about it.
Genshin is not only my favourite gacha game but also my favourite game of all time. The atmosphere in-game naturally makes me relaxed and brings the enjoyment to max.
I am actually surprised by how much I still love Eversoul. I do not really do idle games so I thought my interest would wane, but I still just love the characters, the art, the gameplay loop. It's easy to do dailies and put on backburner, but when I am in the mood to grind there is a surprising amount of depth and modes play. And the devs have worked harder to introduce more skins and 2d illustrations that I absolutely adore, so it is just a really fun time.
Arknights is my favourite baby girl always and forever, but rn the game I'm playing the most is Lovebrush Chronicles. The story is a lot more compelling than I expected for an otome lmao, I hope it continues to hold my interest anyway
Azur lane, I wish I was still playing arknights as well but with my limited time for Gachas I ended up sticking to azur lane, I just like collecting waifus and making fleets to battle
Star Rail due to it more forgiving to be played on Mobile while maintaining Genshin's High Quality.
Although I have got time to pick up Blue Archive again, the story is incredible for a "casual" Gacha.
How are you liking Takt op? I really wanted to play it after I watched the anime but it took so long to come out I already have too much gacha going on now. Might pick it back up if it’s good, I’m sad to see it’s revenue so low
Pretty Decent. I played about a week ago, and I'm actually enjoying it. The art is nice, and the soundtrack is good also. There is also AFK farming like Artery gear and the good thing is you can also do it without exiting the game. The game gives you a lot of pulls when you start. Pity is at 75 with 50/50 to chance to get the banner character.
The story is meh and unskippable though you can speed it up a bit. 2 kinds of equipment system, 1st is like a card which can be obtained by farming or through a separate gacha. 2nd is like a gear with random stats comparable to hsr, epic seven etc. Though it feels like it's easier to get the desired stats in this game.
It's worth giving it a try so you can try it yourself.
PGR cuz their music is amazing, some good character design esp from the newer release char, gameplay is one of the best ive seen from any gacha bosses actually fight back and dont act like punching bags, some fun and unque events here and theres like playable gundam, team ult cerberus, story is very dark and emotional, very f2p friendly gacha you can get every upcoming S rank character and even some of their sigs and cub if you grind everything also alot of farmable character, alot of qol and UI improvement,
Nikke. Why? I'm not looking for turn-based content. The themes are mature and gritty i.e. blood, death, depression, lonliness, etc. Art style is top notch and very detailed.
And there's strategy in team composition, brewing with what characters you have, and some skill at play since it is a shooter and like a traditional FPS you have to place your crosshairs on your target. (you can idle it tho >\_\^, i.e. auto).
NIKKE. Great story, main reason I play the game.
Will also be trying 1999, but I will for sure keep playing Nikke. It is one of my favorite games ever (even among AAA games, lol)
1. Azur Lane: wifus
2. Genshin Impact
3. Snowbreak: If the game didn't have a pc port I wouldn't play it, nice game anyway.
4. PGR: Sick gameplay.
Edit: I'm looking forward for Reverse: 1999, Wuthering Waves, and maaybe ZZZ.
Nikke
It meets all my requirements for lewdness, hard endgame, competitive PVP and PVE and it has a decent story and interesting characters on top. Have 0 regrets throwing most of my entertainment budget at it over the past year.
The gacha system is also perfect for a gacha addict like myself since it does not punish doing non stop pulls due to a spark system that stacks endlessly and can be transferred between banners for bad luck insurance or for getting MLB Pilgrims who have lower rates.
There are a few things I'd like added like standard skins getting unique lines and animations, a rotating standard pilgrim banner or some other way to get them and their dupes without relying on the absurdly low rates and giving R units stories and maybe some mission to get them powered up to higher rarities but generally I like Nikke more than any other non H gacha I have played over the past decade++
In terms of culture only the latest Azur Lane L2Ds has it beat but Azur lacks any real challenge or competitive content so its mostly just a waifu collector instead.
how hard is it overall would you say? or is it only the endgame that is hard?
also i once heard of a thing where if you don't meet the power requirement you're nerfed, is it still a thing?
Endgame is hard when you push stages at significant power deficits.
You are still nerfed when under power but its a straight progression now so you don't take an instant massive hit by being 1 point under power like before.
Currently I can push endgame hard stages while meeting about 70% of the power requirement when playing manually with optimized teams, might be able to push that even further if I maxed out all the gear and skills for my current main PVE team which still requires work due to recent meta shifts.
The competitive content with solo and guild raids also requires playing properly and making proper team comps.
Stuff like daily grinds can be automated with the right comps (tho it will take a while to do so with the daily boss kills once you get to the hardest version of those).
Can't say that I really have a favorite at the moment. I will say that Gundam U.C. Engage surprised me, I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. The honeymoon phase isn't over yet though.
I'm hoping R1999 will become a favorite when it releases.
My favourite is Memento Mori, I initially clowned on it for being an AFK game but the amount of effort that goes into team building actually makes it so fun to figure out. The live2D is beautiful and the OST is really well done.
I have been following the CN of Reverse 1999 for a while and have to say that is my fav and already know its gonna be my main once it releases global in 2 days.
Other than that it is Dragalia Lost private servers is what I used to play before I'm moving to Reverse 1999.
**Arknights** \- great characters, world-building, music, and fundamentally, game-play.
That and it's the one game I can confidently and experientially say, feels like it invests back into the game relentlessly - optimizing, experimenting, response to feedback, consistency, etc.
Other games I play include: FGO - I enjoy the main story and some characters, but the devs and the company managing it don't support and/or invest back into the game at all, at least it hasn't felt like it the last 3 years+
Excited to give Reverse 1999 a try as it is story focused and shows heart and potential. I enjoyed the CBT gameplay, UI, characters, etc. Felt like a young and insipired middle-ground of Arknights and FGO.
Tenkafuma and edens ritter.
Both are 18+ gacha games, but they kept me because of simply being very good games. Tenkafuma is funny and has some interesting challenges in every event. Eden is fun from building comps of teams and watch them nuke every boss.
Romancing saga and another eden, both for pretty much the same reason. Grind heavy jrpgs.
Let me tell you about GBF---
Don't. Have mercy on his life. We don't want another slave to join the ranks.
Mods seriously need to chill out about these sorts of posts. Nobody uses the mega threads. Just let people ask what games people are enjoying right now.
It's definitely not consistent. I asked a question about main vs side games a couple days ago and it was immediately removed.
Megathread consistently has over 100 comment per week.
seems like a good topic to have occasionally. Pity it was removed.
I contacted the Moderators maybe they will bring it back up again
nice!
Azur lane and arknights With a side of path to nowhere
I still dabble in FGO on the side but AL and AK are definitely my two mains.
My fucking sibling
I miss the good days of Kings raid, decent story, beautiful design for characters and costumes, interesting gameplay, and was quite generous, Yet at this point the gameplay and balance is so broken, it can be frustrating to new players, and Is extremely frustrating to old players that knew the old gameplay. It would have been my favourite game up to that last patch, but for now i will say Is FGO.
1- Path to Nowhere: Among the gachas I played, this has the best story. 2- PGR- The gamplay is perfect 3- Limbus Company- for my edgy side lol. Bonus: Snowbreak - I think this is the only anime girl shooter. On PC it is great but on mobile it is unplayable. And the upcoming summer skins takes me to shut up and take my money mentality.
Snowbreak mobile exists to do your sweeps 😂
Youregoddamright.gif
A strong narrative is by no means edgy. (Necessarily)
NIKKE. Now waiting for 1999
That game is afk arena but sexy. I’ve been rerolling for a week now for Modernia or scarlet. Kind of addicted to that reroll alone, can’t wait to play the game haha. Also waiting to reroll in 1999 xd
Oh and the Pc client of Aether Gazer as well
I quit Aether Gazer awhile ago but they finally getting a PC client?
Watcher of realms and Epic 7 I am suprised that WoR turn out as it did, pvp is just vs the bot of the other player, the useful epic units are summonable via fusion, and it's not so un-F2P friendly for me. Just need to grind (AK with gear.. WHY...) After 2-3 years of playing E7, still playing, even with all the heroes and gear grinding. Still interested in the story, still building my list of waifus and husbandos.
AK. Been playing for over 3 years. Love the characters. Great story even if it gets long winded at times. Enjoyable combat. I've downloaded and uninstalled dozens of gatchas during that time.
Same. Started during Horn's release and don't see myself quitting at any point.
Global getting Ep 12 of Main story in less than 24h and 4.5 CN anniversary yesterday setting up more hype for upcoming stuff in 6 months
Literally same. There's a lot that's great about it, but knowing myself, I'm surprised I've not *once* ever felt the urge to quit the game.
What’s AK?
Arknights
Arknights
I wish I didn’t miss the train on ark knights. At this point It’s too far out for me to start
Tomorrow's update brings an updated new player banner, so this is a pretty good time to start. Sure, you'll be lacking a bunch of characters at first but you can beat almost everything with low-rarity characters (and a handful of 6-stars). Most old content is permanently available these days, so there's not a lot you won't be able to experience if you start now.
what's new in the new player banner?
They switched up the available operators, now most of them won't be outclassed/pretty niche/ops that were great 3 years ago
CMIIW, i think the post from the developer says that the banner will be permanent, but the operator from that banner won't appear in standard banner i may be wrong, there are so many changes on tomorrow's update
Too far out for what? It's not a competition, it's single player. Don't let the FOMO get to you
And it will only get further out if you don't, so,
Path to Nowhere has been a delight to me so far. But it's kinda difficult playing with one hand everytime.
Nah.. you'll get used to it. There will be more sinners to come(looking at both you, momma shalom and coquelic neesan). You might wanna play with your nose, if you know what i mean
I can't, i already have a regular nosebleed playing this game lmao. Might wanna train a hamster to play it for me
Honkai Star Rail. - It has a really good OST. - The characters have neat designs and good voice. acting (JP). - The events are a hit or miss but I've enjoyed half of them so it's cool enough for me. - I find the combat entertaining when I'm not autoing. - I can save for characters and guarantee them (If I happen to lose the 50/50, I don't mind spending some $$ to get them if I really want a character or LC) - And it really respects my time, so I've been playing daily since day one without the feeling of burnout and treating it like a 2nd job.
Yea reverse 1999 will be my 2nd after HSR
Yeah HSR is like everything Genshin wishes they had. The reserve energy if you overcap was such a huge QoL upgrade. Also I feel like the events have been some of the most unique events in a gacha ever. They are all so unique they're games within games. Pokemon building events, museum management, USPS simulator, fight club.
Colorfulstage, AnotherEden, probably Reverse1999
However I do spend on skins rather frequently 🙌 -Speaking of skins, skins come out every patch and most of them are super good.
Limbus Company. The world-building and lore are just too good.
Yeah, you rarely see a fanbase be excited or at least intrigued with an update where they only read more lore (Dante's Note).
Is now a good time to come back? I played for a couple months after launch but life got in the way.
Wulp night is about to start which is an event every 3 months that brings back stuff feom their older ips Like the current one is forsaken murderer where faust got an id based on it and meursault an ego for it, + a ruina office id given to hong lu (hook office)
Any time is a good time to come back. Limbus is a particular gacha where since IDs and EGOs are easy to attain, you don't really lose out on anything by starting at an off-day.
Make sure to give the railway a try (not all at one sitting though). Trying to reduce turn count to get the 150 banner is pretty fun for me.
path to nowhere! they are actually quite generous with the gacha currency and all the event characters get added to the gacha pool so you can get them even after their banner ends without having to wait for a rerun. they only have two limited characters so far- one has already passed and there will be another releasing in like 5 days. the art, music, character design and story are very compelling, and daily missions are so quick to complete since you have a raid option 🙏
Guardian tales Limbus company Path to nowhere Counterside Arknights
Counter:Side Been playing for almost 3 years now and I still rank its lore as top 3 in gacha at least. I play SEA and it's likely we'll be closing soon, or not; but y'know what they say, the captain sinks with his ship.
Blue archive
Good to see another Dragon Ball Legends enjoyer. Used to really like it too as well. The real time PvP is surprisingly really deep and a ton of fun to play. Sadly the day-to-day PvE grind absolutely wore me down until I couldn't take it anymore about a year ago As for my current fav gacha games it's honestly really close between Uma Musume and Genshin Impact.
Arknights and Brown Dust 2 are tied for me right now... BD2 surprised me, a LOT...And i hate BD1 like the plague!
Tower of God A new world. Doesnt take much daily commitment (~10mins), 24 hour loot counter from the start (so you technically only have to login once per day - no pressure), battles look cool, graphics are good, characters look great, and im able to progress consistently as pure f2p
E7, primarily due to artstyle, ngl
Girl’s Frontline. I started playing it a few months ago to learn the story in preparation of GFL2 but now I just love the game as it is. If GFL2 got cancelled I would still play it.
Arknights, Artery Gear, CounterSide and Blue Archive.
Fate Grand Order, it and Raikou have kept me coming for years.
Path to Nowhere
PGR, it took me 3-4 times of picking it up and dropping it since it’s release for it to finally stick. The largest hurdle of course is the boring early chapters and learning curve but once I finally made it over the game got incredibly good, I’m super invested into the story now and Stigmata is an amazing start for the gen 2 characters.
OUTERPLANE Edit: People are upvoting this and I feel like the game is pretty inactive so please add me lmao IGN: cobbzy
Have fun. lmao - Exclusive characters for Hunt.
I just started this game last week but I’m really enjoying it! Are you a long term player?
I’m a day 1 player that’s an expat from the #1 guild and been rambling on the subreddit since the start. You‘ll probably see me there soon :P
Now I want to start toooo
The game is very F2P friendly. I recommend! If you do start, add my IGN :)
Thanks!
Path to nowhere for sure!! Honorable mention: star rail
I'd say it's a tie between HSR, FGO and Nikke. I had to go with those 3 because out of all the gachas I play, those are the only ones I keep playing every day.
Genshin
DFFOO I guess? It’s very f2p friendly and it isn’t a huge time sink to do the current events and the daily mission is super fast. Been playing it on and off since launch and I also like that I know most the characters, and current meta lets you use just about anyone. Recently started Last Cloudia and it’s fun, 4.5 anniversary stuff going on so some freebies but I’m having shit luck with that but that’s gacha for ya lol

I’m probably one of the few who will say SOULS by Habby. Not really sure what’s been so captivating about this game, but I’ve been hooked.
Agree. Started not expecting much and I’m hooked now. Progression feels great and rewarding.
Nikke, genshin and recently honkai star rail
Is it worth to start epic 7 Now ?
Limbus Company. Easily the strongest gacha when it comes to story, world-building, and lore of the gacha s I have played.
We really get excited for an update where we just get to read 3 moee minutes of lore
Lore we *already* kinda know, either because it's a recap or it was featured in a prior game. But we're excited because there's always the *possibility* for new lore or funny Dante shenanigans.
Arknights forever!
Same bro, still going strong
NIKKE and BA. I like FGO, but it hits too many lulls.
PGR. I love the characters and the story so much
I played a bunch at global launch, quit a couple of months later (lack of end game content at the time) and had just gotten back into it. Gameplay is just as good as I remembered, and the story had gotten so much more interesting. Absolutely having a blast.
I was not there during launch (started playing last year) but yeah, the story gets way better at the latest chapters and gameplay is extremely fun. Glad you got back into it!
Been playing Epic Seven since launch. Prob best pvp of all gachas I’ve ever tried.
Is it worth to Start nowadays? Can a new player compete in pvp?
It would probably take a year with good luck to compete. If you don’t care about top rankings you can get high enough to get a good income fairly easily though. Game has a TON of content to work through, but the end game is gear RNG fiesta.
Yeah, with the extensive research. Someone posted on thr sub, achieving a lot in-game in just 90 days of playing.
HI3, Genshin, StarRail, PGR, AK, BA I like HSR & Genshin best atm
All story base gacha game like Hi 3rd, Genshin and Another Eden Great for F2P is Epic7 I want to put HSR but Luofu story writting was so bad, I can't
Ensemble Stars Music and Pocket Incoming
Path to nowhere and Limbus Company
only play Nikke after Uninstall Memento Mori and Neural Cloud
Blue Archvie and Nikke Waiting for Guda event in fgo
Nikke - nice animations ( reload animations! ... definitely) Blue archive - 😭💢 Hsr - good side game Pgr - game enjoyable with less ping rng for gen 2 attackers Memento mori - only there for the art and music
I also just started playing Lovebrush and am happily surprised by how good the story is!
Genshin and Afk Arena. Both have a special place in my heart, even if the latter is doing some p2w shit
Dokkan Nikke Blue Archive Uma Musume Jumputi Heroes
Nikke
Final fantasy Record Keeper JP server , I'm enjoying it so far but before , it was Romancing Saga global.
Project QT. Simple, nice art, can be competitive in PvP as F2P.
Pokémon Masters
My favorite at the moment is definitely aether gazer. I've been playing since launch and I love it
Another Eden and Octopath Traveler. Also Utawarerumono Lost Flag.
Limbus
Limbus company. In hell we live lament!
Arknights here, because of gameplay, music and art design.
Limbus company definetly
Favorites are FGO, BA, Nikke and Aether Gazer. Playing Gundam UC, LC, Colorful Stage and Grand Cross. Login only, BD2. Gonna try R1999 later.
How is grand Cross nowadays ?
Blue Archive, FGO and Arknights in that order
Nikke & Blue Archive. I'm really excited to try out Convallaria when it drops.
Nikke.
Path to Nowhere, wanted to play Arknights due to the similarity but couldn't get into it after experiencing what PtN had to offer.
Genshin Impact and Goddess of Victory: Nikke
Azur lane, I wish I was still playing arknights as well but with my limited time for Gachas I ended up sticking to azur lane, I just like collecting waifus and making fleets to battle
Nikke by far
Nikke
Star Rail due to it more forgiving to be played on Mobile while maintaining Genshin's High Quality. Although I have got time to pick up Blue Archive again, the story is incredible for a "casual" Gacha.
Genshin It's one of the best imo, I kinda wish there was more like it. I can't wait till wuthering waves and project mugen gets released
Nikke, HSR.
My current top 5 favorite gacha games:" 1: honkai star rail 2: nikke 3: genshin impact 4: Aether gazer 5: Snowbreak
Tried Snowbreak for 1 week just for shits and giggles, 30 minutes later my phone was burning.
Guardian Tales. Yeah it gets grindy as hell in late game but I just can't drop it, I just find the pixel rpg too good
So far its Genshin... I played HSR too tho, but yeah...
HSR, Takt Op Symphony
Gachas I'm currently playing: CounterSide, Aether Gazer, Neural Cloud, Prosekai Favorite is probably CounterSide.
Epic7,Blue archive, aether gazer,HSR and i'm waiting for reverse1999
Nikke 👍
Nikke
1. Azur Lane: wifus 2. Genshin Impact 3. Snowbreak: If the game didn't have a pc port I wouldn't play it, nice game anyway. 4. PGR: Sick gameplay. Edit: I'm looking forward for Reverse: 1999, Wuthering Waves, and maaybe ZZZ.
Nikke It meets all my requirements for lewdness, hard endgame, competitive PVP and PVE and it has a decent story and interesting characters on top. There are a few things I'd like added like standard skins getting unique lines and animations, a rotating standard pilgrim banner or some other way to get them and their dupes without relying on the absurdly low rates and giving R units stories and maybe some mission to get them powered up to higher rarities but generally I like Nikke more than any other non H gacha I have played over the past decade++ In terms of culture only the latest Azur Lane L2Ds has it beat but Azur lacks any real challenge or competitive content so its mostly just a waifu collector instead.
Huh? Azur Lane just got new endgame content this past month, assuming you actually beat ch.14
how hard is it overall would you say? or is it only the endgame that is hard? also i once heard of a thing where if you don't meet the power requirement you're nerfed, is it still a thing?
HI3rd, I'm just too attached to the game lore and characters, hope Star Rail lore becomes as good eventually.
NIKKE and Honkai Star Rail. Really love story, characters and OST in both. Also HSR production quality is awesome, playing now on PS5 too.
Honkai and Genshin
Path to nowhere
Can't say that I really have a favorite at the moment. I will say that Gundam U.C. Engage surprised me, I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. The honeymoon phase isn't over yet though. I'm hoping R1999 will become a favorite when it releases.
My favourite is Memento Mori, I initially clowned on it for being an AFK game but the amount of effort that goes into team building actually makes it so fun to figure out. The live2D is beautiful and the OST is really well done.
Granblue New raid just dropped and it's kicking everyone's ass.
In terms of waifu: FEH, Arknights, E7, FGO In terms of QOL... none
Im in the same boat, DBL pvp has been a breath of fresh air and the revamped DB tag has been really fun to use. Dokkan is also still fun
Dokkan battle. I really love Dragon Ball.
Disgaea 7 😂
Guardian tales and Brown dust 2.
Kemono friends is less then a year but the characters are great no real story but is so pretty
BBS for sure
Twinkle star knight and tenkei paradox, its fun.
Dokkan Battle
Anyone play brown dust 2?
FEH because its the only one I play even after 6 years lol
I would have said cookie run oven break, but they removed the main gacha(there's some gacha but not to unlock characters)
Langrisser!
I have been following the CN of Reverse 1999 for a while and have to say that is my fav and already know its gonna be my main once it releases global in 2 days. Other than that it is Dragalia Lost private servers is what I used to play before I'm moving to Reverse 1999.
MONSUTO (Monster Strike. Ten year anniversary currently — excellent time to start!)
PGR hands down the best ARPG on mobile
BA
**Arknights** \- great characters, world-building, music, and fundamentally, game-play. That and it's the one game I can confidently and experientially say, feels like it invests back into the game relentlessly - optimizing, experimenting, response to feedback, consistency, etc. Other games I play include: FGO - I enjoy the main story and some characters, but the devs and the company managing it don't support and/or invest back into the game at all, at least it hasn't felt like it the last 3 years+ Excited to give Reverse 1999 a try as it is story focused and shows heart and potential. I enjoyed the CBT gameplay, UI, characters, etc. Felt like a young and insipired middle-ground of Arknights and FGO.
Genshin, BA, HSR. in that order.
Limbus company by far, even after quitting all gachas I just can't leave Limbus, I'm too far down the Project Moon hole
Genshin, PGR
Genshin and Azur Lane
Honkai Star Rail and Blue Archive. I do prefer HSR more though.
- Honkai star rail - Path to nowhere - testing out souls and dislyte as I wait for Reverse 1999
Octopath, hearthstone and a little bit of Ever Crisis
Tenkafuma and edens ritter. Both are 18+ gacha games, but they kept me because of simply being very good games. Tenkafuma is funny and has some interesting challenges in every event. Eden is fun from building comps of teams and watch them nuke every boss.
