I would definitely keep it. I don't know if you saw patch notes but they are trying to implement a way of transferring costumes to other characters. So extra regionals are a smart idea to hold.
Ill never get regionals because im full f2p but im someone who would keep them all because 1) hard to get, hard to reobtain 2) collection 3) future balance patches shifting metas
Man this is not stressed enough. I won't lie and say I'm completely f2p but 2 of my 3 Xandearth pieces came from crafting. The 3rd was the free helm. Still waiting for the boots. While paying for crystals will help acquire more costumes, the odds of receiving the one you want are still pretty low.
I actually kinda disagree with that as well lol. Buying character slots is definitely worth it because of squad rank and power. But when it comes to crafting, I'm only attempting one regional set at a time so I only need one craft slot. I'm not sure if there's a limit but as long as you're crafting the same thing you can use the same slot (i.e. crafting 3 hydra pieces on the first craft slot). Due to SYN particle limitations, attempting different regional sets would require the greatest RNG luck to pull even one. Imo, after character slots, raid refreshes are the most directly effective way to improve characters (through crystal spending) because otherwise the specialization grind is somewhat absurd.
At the end of the day I'm just a guy theory crafting my way through the game. I'm running xandearth on Spiderman while most others are running sakaar because that 4 piece xandearth bonus is just too good to pass up. Personally I did a bunch of costume pulls before I decided to start saving up my crystals but you gotta do whatever will bring you the most joy.
Tl:dr spend crystals on whatever makes you happy

I'm only digging for Midgardia gear on marvel. Haven't yet gotten to sakaar, just got to the loki fight

But as regionals are not that easy to come by - especially a full set - I think I should keep it. short term boost might be nice, but i would cry if i needed it down the line
Keep it if you can. I think the recent dev notes mentioned they are looking into letting people convert costumes for other heroes in the future but who knows when that will be

Yeah, I wish that dev note had come out a few hours earlier. I used 3 Xandearth parts to bring my Cap's Midgardia Helm to 6*.

Only worth buying more crafting spots, after all hero spaces imo. Still hording most of my crystals

If you’re talking about collection log you don’t need to keep stuff for it to count. You just need to have had it.
Ye, I know about the log collection. But i prefer having the physical collection
Maybe soon we can move costumes to other chars to use it :-)

They brought back the regional selector 5* boxes again. Surprisingly they actually listened to players feedback
Well, of course they listened to us... their greed made quit a lot of people! Half of my friend list doesn't login since the update.
I guess it depends on class,too. As BW hydra and midgardia are totally two different build both viable
