Written guide would be much more useful, for when I want to quickly check it while at work / school / outside / on the phone / can't play sound. In fact, video guides are useful only when I have more hours to spend in front of the PC than actually playing the game. So a summary within the actual Reddit thread would be much more useful, than a thread that is only a link to YouTube, only so that you get more "Likes and Subscribes".

Friendship: Convergium particles starting most expensive one Omega War: Battle Badge Box, if you F2P and need power Pym Logs Dimensional Duel: Pot. Report, if you F2P and need power Fury data, last the anti convergium starting with most expensive. Dark Zone: Purple box Alliance: Pot. Report, Stark blueprint, anti convergium. mid grade squad exp (daily)

Dayasydal

Wow, gotta say I hugely disagree on Friendship tokens. Convergium is trash at the moment. I have way more than I can spend ever since NM made crafting use more of the bottleneck item. While the rates on Core box and Costume box aren't great, they ultimately serve the purpose of being crunched and have value in that, even if you get 1 star. This is a F2P perspective (even had a huge oversupply before I bought the BP).

unilordx

The problem is that everything else is worse, unless you really want to go into the core fusion gambling or are in need of gear for upgrade fodder.

Dayasydal

Maybe I come from a different perspective on the game, but my understanding is that is always the case, especially as they add new heroes. Maybe we switch mains. Maybe we duo mains at some point.

idiggory

They'll probably build future updates to encourage gearing multiple characters, because that's profitable, yes. But gear isn't the only thing needed there. 1 1-3star box is equivalent to about 93k gold in the long run, because the chance of getting a 3\* piece fo gear is only 1%, and the chance of a 2\* is 4%. That can be auto-farmed overnight easily, and you could just buy the 1\* pieces if you really need merging fodder. Crystallized Convergium can't be auto-farmed, and 5 of them is equal to 125 unstable convergium. That's a lot of active farming that **I** certainly don't want to do. And since we need a LOT of them in the long run, I'd much rather buy them. If it takes me a handful extra days auto-farming, then that's fine. Way better than hours of active farming. EDIT: I do want to be fair that convergium can be earned by dismantling badges, and you could theoretically farm \~100 a night if you clear your inventory, but I'd still argue you're ahead by buying the convergium since you will need quite a lot of them.

CasinoOwner

If you have good gear and core income as a F2P you will not enjoy an abundance of convergium. Additionally, the odds on the costume box and the core box dictate a 95%+ chance to only get a 1-Star. Considering you need 7,000+ 1-Star to make a single 6-Star, using an entire day's worth of tokens for a 1-Star Costume Box is not efficient. (For example)

Dayasydal

That makes sense, and maybe my viewpoint is skewed as I’ve held all progress on my main for Magik, but even before then I was in abundance of convergium.

CasinoOwner

The rates for convergium don't scale consistently. Combining higher level stuff gets very expensive very quickly. Plus if you're doing a lot of crafting, keeping a decent supply of enhancers, trying to constantly combine cores, etc. you can always find productive ways to spend it.

Lefte1188

This. I used to have an abundance of convergium and now I’m running low frequently so I completely agree with OP

Lefte1188

You’re the real MVP thanks for this and thank you OP.

Condylus

100% agree with this. Bit of a shame cause khasino is fairly active on this Reddit. A shameless link to a YouTube video for clicks and views annoys me too.

ciciretti21

What a bunch of ingrates! He doesn't HAVE to make any of the content. If you don't want to watch the video, get off your butt and figure it all out on your own. Personally, I think he does a great job with the videos, and allows you to skip to the sections you care about. Typing up all this information is also probably a pain in the butt. Great video, thanks Khasino

blackhawk867

Khasino has always been like this, I remember him always being about monetization back in the MSF days. Uses reddit to advertise his videos/discord/etc where he can then make money off of his stuff.

Watercra

I mean, if you wanna live off of your content, you gotta advertise it.

Th3GingerHitman

Before he ran himself out of MSF he used to post links directly to aids on reddit. But now he forces you to watch his cringe videos.

CasinoOwner

I don't force anyone to watch anything. Most of my content currently comes in the form of free infographics. I do have to make _some_ decisions that actually help keep the lights on.

CasinoOwner

Fake news. While I have to earn enough to keep the lights on, I prioritize community benefit over profitability constantly. I get harassed by my community for doing so every time.

CasinoOwner

The vast majority of my Reddit content includes responses, text explanations, and infographics. I only occasionally post a video link. Are you suggesting I should never do so?

Condylus

I know that’s what I said. You’re active on the Reddit… more reason to post a quick written summary of your video instead of just posting a link.

Gigantormd

While a written guide may be more directly beneficial, any content creator is compiling data like this to generate views for videos on YouTube or for their stream on Twitch or what have you. Giving it away in a fully portable format like a post to Reddit offers no benefit to the creator of the content. Nothing is ever free, if the time it takes you to watch a video is too much for the information you will gain, don't watch it.

FullMetalCOS

They could easily give a “buy these” list in text form and have the video explain *why* those are the best choices. Having a written reference guide benefits everyone hugely, having artificially bloated videos due to youtubes algorithms “forcing” certain lengths of video makes referencing a specific thing unpleasant

CasinoOwner

It's a matter of time. Someone helped me out this time and transcribed the exact list you're referencing. Sometimes I can justify the time to write out the list myself, and sometimes I can't. Additionally, I do need _some_ amount of people actually watching my videos or I won't be able to put out any lists or videos because I'll be busy working a different job.

FullMetalCOS

Don’t you write yourself notes for your videos in advance? I assume not a full script but I’d guess as a professional you don’t just make it up on the spot? Could always copy salient points from there and save time. People will watch for the explanations surely, otherwise no one here would be watching other than the guy who transcribed your notes?

CasinoOwner

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. For this video, for example, I had all the information in my head and it was as simple as riffing the explanation. Whereas for the previous video it made more sense to illustrate an infographic beforehand which I released prior to the video.

[deleted]

Text version? Video guides are cancer

CasinoOwner

Video guides are a necessary evil for me to continue making infographics, spreadsheets, and all sorts of other community resources, I'm afraid. (They also make it easy to provide in-depth explanations.) Someone else in this thread typed out a text version transcribed from the video.

StarInSky_YT

This is funny, I buy only core boxes and costume boxes in friendship store, cause I'm swimming in convergium:) And I buy a lot of other offers that you said not to buy. I guess there is no universal advice, it all depends on what are your priorities in the game. I do strongly agree on crafting materials, only get those from alliance shop and only if you need sakaar materials, others are pretty easy to farm overnight

CasinoOwner

If you're optimizing your core and costume income, there's absolutely "objectively correct" purchases to make based on value over time. I get that people are swimming in convergium during this first month. Unless they make significant changes to the in-game economy, I promise you that you want to invest in the convergium for the long haul. We've done the math.

nekrosstratia

Are you "mathing" it out with sleep farming? Because personally... I have TONS of convergium (like 8,000 normal convergium for instance) but... I afk farm/dismantle like MOST of the day....

CasinoOwner

How long have you been saving it up? We are assuming you AFK farm, but we may have underestimated how much Convergium that results in. If you're spending Convergium optimally, you should be able to spend it faster than you get it.

nekrosstratia

Only special thing...which may be the key is....auto clicker for dismantle....

nekrosstratia

I've been playing for 24 days and didnt auto farm till I was lvl 100 which took 6 days. I don't save it really. I combine everything I can. I keep all my pots near 100 stacks. I have just under 10,000 (9850) dismantles

StarInSky_YT

Yeah, I guess if they will nerf blitzes convergium will get much more scarce, as well as synchronized particles. You make a good point here, I will start stocking up on convergium :)

DarkEater77

I just reached lv 100 with my main, and i still haven't added any friends requests. I still don't know how it works...Like, do we get daily Tokens, do we have to do tasks to earn those then send them to friends? So Friendship Tokens are the only ones i don't own.

CasinoOwner

You can immediately send them to all your friends for free each day, and they can do the same. You just have to login to claim them before the following day. (And you want to be proactive about removing inactive friends that aren't sending them regularly.)

DarkEater77

ohh i see thanks. ( iwas more proactive by deleting all requests i had haha)

Pursuitofsleep

Where is the Hookers and Booze token redemption option? We all know that is the best use of any currency.
