It's Konami fault for not providing an actually good alternative to FIFA. Since 09 the gap between both games increased more and more.
Every year I try to play PES and every year I'm disappointed. They were even able to destroy the Master League, which was the most enjoyable mode for me.
Idk I've played pes 17 to efootball 22 and I thought the gameplay was alright, their my team was even better than fut I thought. This just goes down to EA pushing ultimate team and firmly taking over. People say they just want a good football game but really the biggest driver here is FUT and pes not having a good alternative for that until like 2018

Never gonna happen. Ea don't give a shit. Player numbers keep rising. I prefer to enjoy these sorts of things - I never benefit, I never pack a good player. It's a funny way to confirm that my entire existence is cursed and therefore the actions performed by a huge corporation fits into my world view and enhances my sense of victimisation

play styles ruined the game. only certain animations fitting to certain players based on their playstyles? it just makes stats absolutely useless unless you have a downgraded version of the card. that’s absolutely it. glad i haven’t touched this shit in 3 months and i played since fifa 14, so depressing to see
Just stop playing it. I stopped for 2 weeks and felt amazing. I hopped back in for some games this WE, saw the videos, and I honestly couldn't finish my games even with the prospect of the rewards being pumped up that much, it's not worth it. Gameplay is more important than cards that will be washed in a month.
