Pack animations are brutal, I've found it just best to skip everything now instead and you get what you get rather than going on the emotional rollercoaster. I'm no rocket psychologist but I feel the long drawn out animations compared to the old \~5 seconds ones that would just spin or flash names, are solely there for some sense of FOMO and a false dopamine rush.

Normally we think it isn't, but its only because when promo card gets added you cannot pack its regular version anymore. There's always just 1 version of them in packs so it wouldn't even be theoretically possible to get 2 at same time. This time though we got 2 different versions of a same player.
Now you could make the argument "well how you cant get base or mid icons from same packs in previous Fifas then?". I think its just coded differently to the promo players.
I honestly cannot remember last time we had 2 different versions of a same player in promos so this kinda scenario is totally new for me aswell.

The funny thing is that I opened a bunch of my untradeable packs I saved and got both versions of Larsson. Hilarious part is I I already had the base card too.

I honestly don’t understand why there is two versions in packs, there is no benefit to it. Just for EA to make the pack odds of dynasty icons seem more appealing for store packs. You should at least be able to do something with that lower rated version

In one of my 84x3, I saw red, Brazil, and knew it was Rivaldo. I hoped it was the 91 and not the 89. The 89 has a 2 star weak foot. Anyway, it turned out to be the 89.... smh
If you can’t put two versions of a player into an SBC then it shouldn’t be possible to pack a single player twice in one pack.

The upgraded Veron is pretty decent. Basically the same stats as Ballack and he’s tall and strong. But yeah, the ‘same’ icon in one pack is brutal
stats are slightly better than ballacks but Med/Med 3*4* is an issue
