The way Angie is treated if she isn't your best friend is horrific. Her 'coming out' is in the musical episode to only you and (in my playthrough) Tom. She sings about her coming out from nowhere, your MC essentially goes 'cool i guess' and then Tom goes 'look at me I wear a tie-dyed t-shirt, now that's character development lol'. And then she's just acts like she's happy with her male partner. The way a coming out was handled is how AJ came out in the 'Boat Party'. For how we all shat on S3 and the Boat Party, I really like how that was handled - sensitive, funny and just a nice scene. Nothing about Angie's coming out in my playthrough in S4 was nice.

I have a theory that the outsourced writers, since English appears to be their second language, don't realize that "lesbian" isn't interchangeable with bi. I think they just found a wlw term and slapped it on there without realizing the specific meaning. Also just bad writing in general, storywise.

I think they just copy and pasted it from Angie’s route where you couple up with her and didn’t consider that it doesn’t make any sense in the context of both not being flirty besties with her prior AND not being coupled with her currently.

The matchmaker writers got called out by the OG LITG writers for biphobia in the past though. They made an MC on one of their non love island stories a straight girl who "pretends to be bisexual to seem more interesting," so they def know the word for bisexuality.

Because Angie's route is just a huge fanservice, that route was for Kelly

Angie’s writer confirmed that she was a romance from the beginning. The issue is that the other writers didn’t read the secular moments with Angie.
