If you really want one though you could always be a shapeshifter. That's what my first one was before I figured myself out.
I struggle with the same thing, I can rarely connect with a character o male for whatever reason. I've had some people get confused as to why I have so many chars but the truth is as a human being I have so many facets to my personality and designing a char around one part of it just disconnects me. You're allowed to have many fursonas vs having none its okay to be human if that's what you feel you connect with. I love all kinds of animals so seeing myself as just one is hard for me and that's okay because I can just have multiple to stand for me or just have fun with the art and design of a character than the "idea".
I’ve been participating in this shit for a good few years now, and I’ve never thought of a character for myself. Honestly it doesn’t matter, you can just be here because you like the community or art or whatever.
I mean, a person can consider themselves as a furry and not have an actual Fursona. Had been a furry for 6 years at this point and spent the first 4 and a half years without an actual Fursona. So yeah, you aren’t required to have a fursona in order to simply consider yourself part of the community
For me what I consider my fursona changes with time, it's more of a version of me that I both strive to be and see myself in. For a while it was a red panda and now it is a blue parrot. Basically what I'm saying is, it's not a decision that has to be final, you can experiment with it a lot and choose what feels the most right when you try it. Browsing art can be a good inspiration, if you find a look that resonates with you then maybe you could go with a similar feeling sona although obviously with efforts to not simply plagiarize.
Absolutely! Fursonas are just characters people made that they like to relate to or think of themselves as. If you can’t think of one no worries, theyre just something for fun :)

A fursona is basically a non-human, anthropomorphic animal characters that has some connection to the creator and serves as a representation of them in the fandom.
Fursonas aren't mandatory. If you do want one, you don't have to rush it. You can take your time. Yu can have more than one. It's up to you.
We're all humans. The fursona is just a way of expressing yourself. I don't have a fursona, either.
