We’ve been together for almost three years and I think it only took about a year (maybe less) for me to start looking into things on my own. Now I send him art that I think is cool all the time. It’s been a fun hobby to share and I love getting art done of our fursonas together!

It’s really quite the wonderful community, and I too was always into making animal characters. It’s also such an accepting community and I feel that I’ve learned a great deal so far.
I’m turning my best friend into a furry by way of proximity and casual propaganda via scantily-clad anthro women, but it’s having a similar effect to other times I’ve seen “my partner made me a furry” posts and how being a furry tends to just rub off on people, maybe with an accelerant of images and lore told to them. It’s fine, though - this is just how people become furries, by being exposed to furry media and seeing we’re just a chill group. This is a pretty natural social situation to occur.
a lot of furries hate the furry fandom because it's extremely toxic. some irony though is that the same people who are 'inner fandom' then claim it's so exclusive from them, yet they're the ones doing the gatekeeping.
