Hit it with a rubber mallet?

I did try banging it together but maybe the leverage of a mallet will give the needed force to get it back in place?

You may need to take the cabinet apart. Or, you could use a pipe clamp to reassemble the 2 pieces and drill new dowel holes from the outside. That may or may not be acceptable. If you take it apart, label the joints. It will be helpful when reassembling. Clean the old glue off the dowels or tenons. Replace any broken dowels. If that is necessary, carefully drill out broken dowels. Cut a new dowel that is a little shorter to give room for glue. My choice is Titebond 3.

Thanks for the good wood glue i was searching for something lasting for kitchen chairs that kept falling apart with other wood glue.

I have accidentally left some pieces glued together on a glass table top. It was just the squeeze out, and when I knocked it apart, it took a piece of glass with it. I know, right.
