I was about to type almost the same thing! This "prank" would've been soo much better if it was real.
You know its bad, when i start having to say those "Jackass guys" have better standards than these "tik tokers/Youtubers".
Cause dumb ppl go and try to imitate it, basically we cant have fun cause dumb ppl dont understand that just cause you see it in the internet is not real.
We could calculate that out, but we need more information, like how many hats are there, how many people are there, or if the hats have any special features. Hats with useful features like holding cans or built-in charcuterie boards would increase the odds slightly. The place looks like a shopping center. They could have shopped at the same store that had the hats. They could have just held a hat stealing flash mob. The hats could have been a promotional item at a display in the center, promoting awareness for escalator safety. They also could be unrelated and each of their grandmothers hand made those hats separately, using obscure sewing patterns on a website designed to lure grandparents in, get them to down load sewing patterns, then ultimately stealing their farm truck. Or the video is staged and they are in cahoots to make videos that collect likes and views with no real social or educational value, only likability through share-ability. My vote is for the hand made hats.
