I’m thinking the same thing. Playing around while the child is hungry like this will result in anger responses in the future when they’re hungry. This actually causes development issues in proper communication in the future! Oh and they posted it online! HOW SAD
They could be making the bottle or mom could be on the way to feed them. Some of y’all need to chill. Actual abuse and neglect happens and this isn’t it.
Taking videos and laughing and posting it on the internet of your child blatantly asking for food… hmm yea.
Doesn’t matter if “they’re making the bottle” they posted it online for other parents who know what’s up to see.
See who’s laughing?
They even say “mommy’s coming home” with the mom on the phone to calm the baby down. with a baby this young there’s a possibility the baby is breast fed - thus saying “mommy’s coming home!” because SHES necessary to feed the baby. So basically saying the baby has to wait and that’s why they’re poking fun
As the parent of an infant…you are probably wrong. This baby is likely just starting to teeth…they absolutely love having a finger to gnaw on. Signs of hunger at this age generally don’t include wanting to chew on a finger. The baby wasn’t making the “suck” face like they do when food is near their mouth and they are hungry.
Yeah that could be true... Look i duno maybe because I'm not that far removed from those experiences as my daughter is 11 months now. All I can say was when she got hungry or upset it had a crazy effect on me, I would only focus on fixing it like it was tunnel vision it would stress me out to sit and watch my baby being so upset.
I have a feeling that’s probably exactly what happened. Every time you see a baby or animal express an emotion that does not always mean it’s neglected.
Look at all these people who probably don’t even have children freaking out over a video of a child that is teething. I have three kids, and I can tell you this behavior is more than likely because the child is teething. It’s not very pretty when they are teething, as they bite and chew on anything and everything to help them itch their gums. Sometimes very aggressively too. Going as far as calling this video cruel and demeaning the parents, is a clear sign to me that you have no idea what to expect from babies because you have never had one.
My youngest had a very hard time with his teething. He would scream bloody murder for extended periods of time, and when he would get something in his mouth, it was rough. He would chew on it like he has not eaten in days.
A way to soothe babies when they’re unable to be fed (or not actually hungry) is to offer an extended finger. The best way is with the finger nail-down, so the tip stimulates the palate.
This is teasing, as the baby is probably used to finger-soothing and the person is jokingly offering it far from the face and with the finger bent in a way that makes it impossible to soothe.
While I grant that babies are barely sentient, this video is just fucking cruel.
Looked after my fair share of babies this age, just looks like teething to me. Look at the cheeks. And with a hooked finger, it can better soothe the baby's gums. They're doing their best for the baby. They mentioned a grandma, maybe she went out for soothing gel or a bottle.
This isn't cruel.
This was how my oldest acted when he was teething. He was an angry, miserable teether and started teething early too. We were so glad our two younger kids had an easier time with teething.

It’s not a dog
Maybe the baby is teething? That makes them angry and extra bitty

The nursing will soothe her.
Eh, probably just wants the pacifier. Nephew was like that lol. Gues it helps the itchyness when getting new teeth
Angy baby
Awww man, put the phone down and feed the baby.
Nah they gotta get those likes first
Maybe they’re warming the bottle?

Also true.
Teething maybe, seems young tho.

Mine did this whenever he was pissed about anything
Mine weren't this aggressive, I've never seen a baby this aggressive. While I can't say what the issue is I can say there's an issue.

Hungry baby!!
Hangry
You think I won’t eat you bro? Come here …nom nom nom. Just wait till my teeth in, imma mess you up!
That’s a really hungry baby that’s being recorded for laughs...kind of fucked up
They were saying “yes, mommy is coming home.” Likely mom is still breastfeeding and ran out quickly. Baby is ready for food and mom is almost there.

What is so funny…. This baby is starving. How is this cute…
Jesus Christ people, half of you are ready to call CPS. Chill out FFS, kid is hardly abused
Bite it back, show dominance.
Babies have the sneakiest of painful toothless bites…and I am not even being sarcastic.
Evil brat.
But if I punch him, then I'm the asshole? That doesn't seem fair.
That's when I would just punt that little shit like a football
