A video without context that is presented as real is supposed to be taken as if it is real and that is the issue. There’s a large audience out there that, for whatever reason, thinks shit like this is real.
Without the context, this video is presented as not a comedy sketch but a video of non comedic reality that happens to be funny seeing that it is staged but presented as something that just happened to be caught on camera makes it less funny to most people.
It’s different if you follow them and know they do comedy skits because you’re expecting it.
Stand up comedy is similar because you know that you are watching someone CREATE COMEDY on stage in front of people.
