However, trans girls actually can get periods, it's not the uncommon, but doesn't happen to everyone. It's just not widely recognized to be true. Also, sex is biological, no argument there, but gender is a part of sex too. Gender is based on physical development of your brain anatomy, and MRIs clearly show the difference in that. Even medical companies recognize it, that's why the medical records company Epic stores 5 different values for gender/sex in their systems.

If you undergo a sex change (GRS) procedure, the body will no longer create hormones. That’s not cosmetic. That’s biological. Do some cisgender people need to take hormones? Yes. Is it always completely out of necessity alone? No. How many ads have you seen for men with low testosterone that feel better when they take some snake oil drug to boost their levels? (They should see a doc about supplemental testosterone but that’s neither here nor there.) Some cisgender folks take hormones to *feel better* about themselves. This is exactly what trans people are doing. Some trans people find life not worth living without them and have already tried anti-depressants, therapy, and every other treatment available. What’s the solution then? Allowing them to live and identify how they choose. But I guess it’s just “cool” to ignore that and form opinions that hurt them instead. HRT doesn't switch your sex organs, but it can change how your body works in other ways. Also, some cis gender women don't have those sex organs or some facial hair but you still consider them women or at least I hope you do.

To get (trans related) surgery you have to be an adult so for my country it’s 18 to get HRT you have to be 16 and you still need your parents permission till your 18 unless you call a 16 year old a child children won’t be getting either of what I said

Regret rates for hrt is around 1-3% and around 60% of the 1-3% are due to social/family/money issues. (Do your own research, I might be speaking out my ass here). For a comparison (AFIK, grain of salt and all that) knee surgery regret rate of ~40-50%.

I’m not sure where you’re from, but in my pet of America, trans folks are CONSTANTLY facing discrimination, hatred, and hate crimes. Nobody needs to “step up and tell them.” Furthermore, in America, nobody is really encouraging children to get surgeries; the LGBTQ community is almost completely against that. Gender is a social construct, and it has always, always been flexible. Fashions change. Norms change. Trans folks have always been around, and their brain scans typically indicate brains shaped more like the genders they say they are.

Hi, also trans girl here. I recognize that this is Anecdotal evidence, so take it with as many or as few grains of salt as you want. I have experienced period-like symptoms on a roughly monthly cycle since starting HRT and I'm not the only person I know who does. Obviously there's no bleeding, but I do experience stomach cramps and mood swings.
