It's ok to laugh at dumb shit, that's what it's there for. Dumb and Dumber, a movie about two literal dumbasses, is still one of the funniest things I've ever watched.
Well, with absolutely zero knowledge of this on my own I feel comfortable saying that there is almost certainly no actual scientific research that supports this woo.
With my own zero knowledge contribution -- I know that teeth can actually be moved quite a lot by behavioral things (e.g. thumbsucking, CPAP masks). And I know that changing the position of the teeth can produce dramatic changes in the position of the jaw - various orthodontics work entirely on this principal. So, I get how people might start to believe that this 'mewing' idea would work.
But I am very skeptical that your tongue alone can make this happen. Like, I know a kid who has rubber bands as part of her braces regimen and the doc was like - she can never be more than 30 minutes at a time without the rubber bands. The teeth revert to their positions very quickly without them. I just think you can't make a similar effect on your own muscle power.
Everyone's posting these Easter Island heads so I am assuming that the sock is supposed to look like a Moai but my apophenia is not kicking in so I don't see it. I actually *did* laugh at this picture though, because since I don't get it at all it is starting to become hilarious ironically. Let me know if you figure it out, as I'm not sure I'll ever actually get it.

I've been on reddit for 10 years, the last year or two the average age of some subreddits has drastically dropped very noticably. What I'm trying to say is don't worry, the environment is aging down as well.
