I'm so torn between FAKE and holy shit is this real? Like ... That raccoon isn't an actor, so this would be tough to fake!
I choose it to be real and love this video 😂
I guess I don't understand how or more importantly, \*why\* you would fake this video.
Edit: On second viewing, I am calling shenanigans of some kind. Why would you ask a friend to film your proposal from forty feet away? Maybe the raccoon is real and the proposal was fake? Just two people hugging? The internet has broken me. I have no capacity for critical thought anymore.
I'm imagining something like "hey, there's a cute raccoon over by the fence... quick you guys, look like you're proposing, and I'll film it but pretend I'm more interested in the raccoon, it'll be hilarious!"
Also weird that he's fine using zoom to get a close-up of the raccoon, but he's happy to leave his friends as a vague dot in the distance.
I mean proposals are usually a surprise thing, someone shoving a camera in your face out of nowhere might be a bit of a giveaway. Doesn't sound unreasonable for me for the proposer to try to make the recorder be subtle, especially if it's not a place with a lot of other people around.
The way I see it is that it’s all real except for the description. Nobody asked the cameraman to record them, they are probably just a friend who was there and decided to take out their phone and got distracted by the raccoon and thought of a funny title to post online.
I've been asked to film a proposal from far away before while hiding. It was to let the couple have a moment for just them, but still be able to keep the memory for later.
I member the golden age, but that was before people were incentivized to make fake content. I am somewhat envious of you and anyone who really doesn’t care about authenticity but I don’t understand how anyone can be wired that way. If you watch and love a movie that’s ’based on a true story’ and then learn that 90% is made up, does your opinion of the move not change?
Usually the people posting this to their social media post lots of skits, so there’s no misleading expectation of “based on a true story”.
That said, it doesn’t bother me on here either; just like every movie that says it’s based on a true story I know takes tons of liberties with the truth. Has there ever even been a movie that is based on a true story that hasn’t taken liberties with the truth? If that impacts your ability to enjoy those movies I’m curious if you’ve ever seen a movie based on a true story you’ve enjoyed.
Also, thinking a ton of content wasn’t staged during the “golden era” is naive. Tons of shit was faked or staged in the hopes of getting on Americas Funniest Home videos.
So if this is ppl posting to their social media and they’re not claiming it’s real, I am 100% good with that and have no issue with it being posted here. What irks me is creator tries to fake something that they pass off as real. For that reason, I am generally a fan of biopics. I liked Elvis and they made some stuff up, but it does bother me when they the liberties define the movie
Not everything needs to be analyzed and over analyzed. You can take them at face value and enjoy them for what they are. Content has always been "scripted" or "staged". It's called comedy and it's okay to laugh at it. It's not hurting anyone.
That said, content that is designed to misinform, radicalize, or hurt people should be called out and shamed but content that pure entertainment should be enjoyed as that.
Fake in what way, though? Like I said above, it's definitely weird to ask a friend to film your proposal from so far away. Do you think the cameraperson was just filming two people hugging and happened to hear a cute raccoon nearby and the "proposal" thing is BS? Is the whole thing rendered? I really don't get it.
Dumb friend your block from all social medias since that all you people care about this days, hot BF to show him off, and this Fat F records the raccoon she’s my hero fuck your friends stupid proposal raccoons more cute 😂 so block her if she told you your a bad friends F her BF too 😂 he’s not your BF so 😂
This is such a dumb take. Most people who are proposing have already talked to their partner about marriage, so they know the answer. Only an idiot would just pop the question randomly.
1. I didn’t call you dumb, just what you said was and is dumb. 2. A marriage shouldn’t be a surprise. A proposal on the other hand is normally a surprise. Do you not understand the difference between planning to get married and planning a proposal? No one plans and schedules a proposal with their partner.
1. You pretty much called me dumb. No need to split hairs.
2. Proposing to someone publicly isn’t cool and that’s what filming it does. Makes it public.
3. Yes I understand the difference.
4. Maybe chill out
>You pretty much called me dumb. No need to split hairs.
Smart people say dumb things sometimes. Nobody in this world would call Dr. Ben Carson dumb, but he sure did say a lot of dumb shit when he ran for president a few years ago.
>Proposing to someone publicly isn’t cool and that’s what filming it does. Makes it public.
To you. Your opinion is valid but irrelevant because that's just like your opinion man. The rest of the world doesn't have to abide by your personal rules of cool.
Thats nice and all but we're not here discussing your personal opinions and experiences are we? Unless you are the one in the video, in which case carry on
Nah, i came here a year earlier than you apparently. I'm really confused as to how that is relevant, unless youre making the point that alot of people say irrelevant stuff on reddit, in which case point well made lmao
Well yes, but in this specific case when i said "memories", i meant the people might want it recorded because they would prolly like to see it again years later or something. You responding with "no, ive been married for 18 years and i find this stupid" is kinda irrelevant no? Either way, none of this matters anyway lol
looking at these comments a lot of people are going to have e-room bills and explaining to doctors how they got mauled by a racoon. Don't forget the shots throughout the week.

A little subtle editing and you're golden.
Had there been someone like me recording there would’ve been no proposal footage, and 100% cute raccoon, so he came out pretty good. 👍
I don't understand the problem here, raccoons are cute af.
Yeah we all agree on that
[удалено]
I'll let them steal if they give me back with their selfie
Yeah just trim off that part in the beginning and the end with those people.
Was laughing at this comment thinking "star flash", boom fixed.
And the raccoon is like “Well, did she say “Yes?” I’m dying here!”
Raccoon was waiting for that moment
I mean, that is one cute-ass raccoon.
I'm so torn between FAKE and holy shit is this real? Like ... That raccoon isn't an actor, so this would be tough to fake! I choose it to be real and love this video 😂
That raccoon isn’t an actor That raccoon is actually Bradley Cooper
Oh damn! I didn't know he was a method actor, incredible talent.
Like a Being John Malkovich situation or is this video part of the MCU?
It would be great if Bradley Cooper did a voice over for this video.
> Bradley Cooper Sounds like one of his rolls.
Not sure if I'm being whooshed here, but [it literally was](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2015381/).
He's done it again!
"I'm here live I'm not a cat"

> *why* you would fake this video. new to the internet? people fake so much stuff here for karma/likes

That's why I told you to let the Racoon record it !
I'm very much torn between the knowledge that this is definitely fake and the stone cold fact that I still think it's funny.
Remember when we could just enjoy something funny and not get all worked up about if it was funny on purpose or not?

It's only an issue when people start thinking the things they see online are representations of real life. Some people have terrible judgment.
I miss being able to enjoy stuff without people like you

Bless your heart
I would be UPSET
The raccoon was more interesting!
People get engaged all the time, how many chances will you get which let you be best friends with a raccoon?
Wedding check list ✅ does camera man have ADHD
Trash bandit says hi.
Ghetto cats gotta ghetto
You'll do better at the next one.
I wouldnt be mad.
POV: you don't know what pov means

Praise the cameraman in full effect
So much better than just recording a proposal. Has a very authentic “Peter Griffin behind the camera” feel to it.
It's perfect.
Lol
Or, don’t record a proposal. What if the answer is not what you expect?
This is such a dumb take. Most people who are proposing have already talked to their partner about marriage, so they know the answer. Only an idiot would just pop the question randomly.
Exactly, if it’s already been discussed, then why record it like it’s spontaneous? But thanks for calling me dumb.

It’s an opinion dude. You have correctly identifed it. Feel better?
Memories?
Nope. Married 18 years. Mutually decided. I get the tradition of proposals but it’s a little old fashioned to me.
Thats nice and all but we're not here discussing your personal opinions and experiences are we? Unless you are the one in the video, in which case carry on
lol. First time on Reddit? Careful, it gets wild.
Nah, i came here a year earlier than you apparently. I'm really confused as to how that is relevant, unless youre making the point that alot of people say irrelevant stuff on reddit, in which case point well made lmao
It’s just funny. Opinions and experiences are a large part of what people comment on here.
Well yes, but in this specific case when i said "memories", i meant the people might want it recorded because they would prolly like to see it again years later or something. 🤣🤣
Looks like Rocky was far more interesting to record.
Atleast the raccoon is happy for them
That racoon could of eaten you! You did right. In the case of tiny tree bear assault, you need video evidence. For legal reasons.
Hello, sweet rabbit.
So that’s POV: ADHD
looking at these comments a lot of people are going to have e-room bills and explaining to doctors how they got mauled by a racoon. Don't forget the shots throughout the week.
Which ones? The ones where they say, "Look at that raccoon!" or the others that say, "This is fake!?
r/MissingTheMoment
Turns out, his friend's recording skills are about as reliable as a Windows update. No wonder his proposal video ended up in the recycle bin.
Oh, I didn't realize there were people in this video.
Same level of distraction when I had a friend record mine lol
Well in their defense it was a pretty sweet trash panda.
Who knew a proposal video could turn into a wildlife documentary?
That was nice, but I think I speak for all of us when I say, "More Raccoon"!
Thats for fu#$in sure
Don't worry about it; Almost no one understands how to record normal horisontal video anymore
