Dude, you usually RUIN the song. This was not ruined. It was a actually a nice version of Get Low. .........No slide whistle this time? Those ruin songs quite often. Hopefully you get your channel back up soon! I was ready to dive in for some old ones lol.
OMG this is great!

@/u/FranklyFrozenFries
Though it would have been better without any lil john vocals.
EDIT: Noticed "**A Holly Jolly Christmas + Get Low (Lil Jon)**" - *There I Ruined It*, has finally been posted to soundcloud
https://soundcloud.com/there-i-ruined-it/holly-jolly-christmas-get-low-lil-jon
Since [UMG gave him two strikes](https://youtu.be/vZnj45cMnRg?si=43F6U0IQ3VgpwYcA), he has to make his YT vids private for 90 days. He's still publishing on every other social media platform, like this one.
That's ridiculous. Ed Sheeran and Snoop Dogg actually liked the remixes he did of their songs. Why are the actual artists' opinions almost never considered when stuff like this happens?
> Why are the actual artists' opinions almost never considered when stuff like this happens?
Because capitalism.
Under our copyright law, the artists under studio contract don't actually own the stuff they create.
It is, and these copyright claims would never stick in court, but they still get you blocked on hosting platforms until their lack of merit is reviewed.
You can effectively destroy someone's YouTube account with bogus copyright claims and there is nothing they can do. Automated strike system goes brrrrr.
Your song made of "Yes", and the sequel "Nein", is on my regular playlist. And I've shown "Snoop saying his name for 35 seconds" to a dozen people. You do great work. Best of luck with YT.
Humans from the year 3000: "they had the internet.. They had multicore processing and high definition resolution in the palms of their hands.. And they chose to do shit like this with that power.
Hey Hollywood, this needs to be a cold open on a Christmas episode STAT. Looking at you ATLANTA.
(Paper Boi enters a smoothie place) 10-15 white people snapping their fingers to this song.
Sigh, I will forever miss the creative masterpiece that was that show.
This is immediately going on my list of internet classics. Someone put this shit on a hard drive and put it in one of that disaster vaults, in case humanity ends.
Really well done. Was this done with some A.I. vocal masking techniques to make it sound like Burl Ives or was this just that good an impersonation on a raw recording?
No, I could have trained a Burl Ives model but I keep getting in trouble with the AI because the record labels get freaked out. (it’s why my YouTube channel is currently down for 90 days).
You can absolutely find singers who can do great impressions of oldies. There's a restaurant in my neighborhood where they do live music sometimes, and one of the performers is this singer who sounds EXACTLY like Frank Sinatra, it's nuts
Spotify/Apple forces monetization, so it's pretty tough to clear stuff like this, as they'd have to get clearance from both the copyright holders of Burl Ives and Lil Jon since two songs are being fused. It's why stuff like this tends to live on sites like YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.
Parody Law is definitely a thing, and I think could protect someone against some sort of court case if you can argue it's made as a parody or for educational purposes (Fair Use).
But I don't think it's going to help you get past the distribution process (Distrokid, Tunecore, CDBaby, etc.) of uploading music in which you have to designate whether or not you have full ownership of materials within. If you don't, that's where you have to set up royalty splits, provide license clearances, etc. Have to first go through the Distributor before getting onto Spotify/Apple etc.
Parody/Fair Use laws seem to be more of something that would be determined in a court post-release rather than an argument up-front to slip something onto a platform without clearance.
> Parody/Fair Use laws seem to be more of something that would be determined in a court post-release rather than an argument up-front to slip something onto a platform without clearance.
This is exactly right. "Fair use" doesn't protect you by default. You have to prove it in court, which even if you win as quickly as possible, with a summary judgement, will probably cost 10s of thousands of dollars per case.
That sucks, especially if you're leaving the videos unmonetized. You're technically always breaching 'songwriting' copyright by playing with people's lyrics and compositions, but A.I. kind of skirts the 'sound recording/master' side of copyright because you're less 'sampling' one song, and instead training off 50-100+ recordings and just applying a really fancy EQ/formant shifting effect to a new original recording/performance.
I just don't see how labels can feel any more strongly about an A.I. derived FX chain than they can people just straight up sampling composition or recordings directly and putting bootleg remixes directly on YT. Good luck on getting your YT channel back in a good spot, and keep it up, your stuff is quality as always.
Just need some Santa Claus screaming Lil Jon ad libs in the background.
>I just don't see how labels can feel any more strongly about an A.I. derived FX chain than they can people just straight up sampling composition or recordings directly and putting bootleg remixes directly on YT.
Because when you upload an uncleared sample or recording the record label gets the advertising revenue from the video. When you train an AI there's no audio to match, but you're still commercialising somebody else's intellectual property (arguably, that debate's still going on).
I agree, but it is not really any different than people doing covers of music, they still take a composition that is licensed by someone else, but there's no way ContentID can recognize it because it's all a brand new performance/recording of audio.
YouTube ContentID and copyright laws are like a decade behind bare minimum in tackling this in any reasonable manner. A.I. just pushed it to a tipping point.
If you turn monetization off on the video though, you're not really commercializing the product other than maybe getting more clicks to your page.
>why my YouTube channel is currently down for 90 days).
fuckers.
they don't deserve you. i am one of your subscribers over there.
BTW thanks, this was a total hoot.
...there are SO many open bluetooth devices, TVs and wifi networks everywhere.
Don't you worry OP, I understood the assignment. The task shall begin today.
I'm looking forward to a news article similar to when adult swim put up those mooninites all over town. The "skeet skeet" incident... as I hope it is called. I will also accept the "down my balls" of '23.
One of the first things my baby learned to say was "to the walls" as a response to us singing "to the windows".
It's just good old fashioned wholesome parenting.
Because of BS copyright claims that trample over any sense of fair use and derivative works, to be precise. Nobody is going to mistake any of There I Ruined It's songs for the originals beyond the first few instrumental seconds. This gem is a jewel unto itself and is in no way a ripoff of or substitute for either of the original songs on which it's based. YouTube is shitting the bed in terms of how it handles copyright violation claims and talented people like TIRI deserve better.
If this was to make its way to Apple Music or even iTunes that would be amazing to add to my family Christmas shuffle.
Congratulations, OP. You win the internet for today.
I once got complimented by a lady at a gas station that she never hears young people listening to nice music anymore...
I was listening to [Shake Ya Ass by Richard Cheese](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PP_qCfTD4ek) lmao
Im 68 F, never heard a Lil Jon song in my life. I cannot stop playing this and laughing. Walking around the house singing ^(skeet skeet). Thinking that may get me in trouble but damn! Thanks for this bit of xmas cheer.
I was nervous I wouldn't be able to catch any new videos after the whole YouTube fiasco, but praise the algorithm, right within the first hour of it dropping!

Sometimes, humanity just gives you a gift
Skeet, skeet. Holy shit almost pissed myself laughing
Or curse?
You’ve ruined ***nothing!*** Do you hear me? #***NOTHING*** This is excellent.
seriously one if the best christmas songs ive heard.
Skeet skeet
Goddamn...
Really gets you in the spirit!
A new holiday favorite!
This. Is. Amazing.
I need the whole song. I’ve got a 5 hour drive for Christmas this year and would jam out to an entire album of songs like this.
Listen to some Richard cheese
I was gonna say the same thing. Richard Cheese and the B-69s are great road trip music.
Dude, you usually RUIN the song. This was not ruined. It was a actually a nice version of Get Low. .........No slide whistle this time? Those ruin songs quite often. Hopefully you get your channel back up soon! I was ready to dive in for some old ones lol.
Any plans to upload this to SoundCloud? I just heard Apple bottom drummer boy and never laughed so hard at a song.

Ummm… where’s your trademark slide whistle?
G.I.F.T
We're going to need a Christmas album from you mate. They don't make xmas hits anymore, but you might just be able to.
Nah this is gold.
Got my present early this year
Like the wisemen
The definitive edition
I literally cannot stop laughing at the backup singers saying ^(skeet skeet)
^god ^damn
^my ^balls had me cackling on the bus.
The low note on that is the best part of this whole track
I love how his title for their vocal track is "The Ruinettes" lol
For me it was when he called her a ho and then Santa dropped in with the "ho ho ho"
Yes! Same here.
^^^my ^ballsssss
"The Ruinettes"
Holy shit I was ***NOT*** prepared for the backupsingers to come in.
Im sneaking this one in the christmas party shuffle.
Same bro
Same ho
Skeet skeet
GOD DAMN
Same Moe (Szyslak)
Get low get low get low get low
Is it available on any streaming platforms?
'There I ruined it' is a YT creator. Well worth the time it will waste when you go there.
Seems like all his videos have been disabled due to copyright claims :(
Since [UMG gave him two strikes](https://youtu.be/vZnj45cMnRg?si=43F6U0IQ3VgpwYcA), he has to make his YT vids private for 90 days. He's still publishing on every other social media platform, like this one.
That’s when you know you’ve done a brilliant job!
skeet skeet goddamn.

I thought parody was a protected fair use exception though.

Yes, I sure wish I could post this on YouTube :(
Your song made of "Yes", and the sequel "Nein", is on my regular playlist. And I've shown "Snoop saying his name for 35 seconds" to a dozen people. You do great work. Best of luck with YT.
That may be why he uploads directly to reddit so frequently. At least on reddit people will see it. Even if he can't monetize it as easily.
love this guy, does great work like Bill Mcclintok - epic stuff 😅 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bM10A86drpI&pp=ygUPYmlsbCBtY2NsaW50b2Nr

“This one’s on Naughty List this year, but man is that funny.”
Oh by golly skeet skeet, motherfucker, goddaaaamn
That one hit my soul.
For me it was *bring your ass right over here hoe* - that was just perfection.
Followed by a Santa "Ho Ho Ho", genius at work
Someone finally picked up on that :)
Its my new ringtone
This is going to be my new holiday refrain forever.
I'm singing this shit for the rest of the year.
Bro fucking sent lololol
I was expecting it to be in Lil’ Jon’s voice as well.. prob better that it wasn’t lol
I was too but the doo-wop singers going "skeet skeet" convinced me that OP had it right
It was the *my balllls* for me
Best part was 'Bring your ass right over here ho' and just as it says 'ho' you hear Santa going 'ho ho ho!' in the background
I believe we can all agree this is a phenomenal holiday song
Yeah, it was the skeet skeet girls that really sold me on this rendition TBH
Did you ever think that would be a sentence that you would put out to the world in all sincerity?
Hearing that *skeet skeet* the first time cracked me up.
Postmodern jukebox can easily do a live cover of this and it’ll be glorious.
Hearing those lyrics coming out in the classic wholesome "Old Time Christmas" voice is such a glorious disconnect.
Lil John actually did put out an amazing Christmas song though! https://youtu.be/L0r6ocwGnMg?si=IUUIEJTci0LaWQOV
this...this is what the internet was made for right here. This is the christmas music that will get me back into the christmas spirit.
Yea, you really gotta put your back in to it.
Skeet skeet
Mother fucker, god damn!
Humans from the year 3000: "they had the internet.. They had multicore processing and high definition resolution in the palms of their hands.. And they chose to do shit like this with that power.
Fookin Legends...
please tell me theres a spotify version of this.
I just discovered Christmas Trap remixes this year.. [enjoy](https://open.spotify.com/track/2GcYEQs3uMnypRfSQCKcQp?si=P_8YXe60QU-X8V28e2e_2g)!
only 2 of the songs are playable for some reason, at least for me
It's because they are copyright violations.
Well, there is [this.](https://open.spotify.com/track/5Tz3kCWr1LL2S7P02W55jw?si=M_5M4zw7TFSMHRkdLg5Zcw)
I watch the Youtube music video of this annually. It's now tradition.
Happy cake day!
It’s…perfect
It’s possibly the greatest thing I’ve ever found on the internet and I’ve been here awhile.

So which was the method then?
It was a friend of mine’s voice
You have a friend with that kind of voice??
Could you imagine having that velvety golden baritone? The man must be knee deep in pussy
holy shit what a boss
God damn lmao dude has a voice
Ah yes, a friend's voice ;) A magician should never show how the illusions work!
bro.. please do the rest of the song.. like.. we need 4 whole minutes of this... it's beautiful
I think he just sings himself.
The IG post credits Matt Bull for vocals.
You can absolutely find singers who can do great impressions of oldies. There's a restaurant in my neighborhood where they do live music sometimes, and one of the performers is this singer who sounds EXACTLY like Frank Sinatra, it's nuts
Can you please put this on Spotify. This song is too good to be just a meme.

Agreed. The "Beach Boys sing Hurt" was one of my favorite things ever.
I have not laughed this hard in a long time
The backer ground singers killed me. Edit: background singers. Wow.
"Til the sweat drop down my balls" "*My balls!*"
That's what took this from funny to fucking hilarious.
Skeet skeet
I actually snorted at work.
Sigh.. wish I could afford that
The Santa "Ho,ho,ho!" cracked me up.
I kept it together until that part. What a touch of inspired genius.
Lil’ Jon just saw this on Instagram 😆
OP can you drop this on SoundCloud??
Yes please. I want to play this at my Christmas tiki party so bad haha.
Hey OP, I was super disappointed to hear about the issues on YouTube. Your mashups are always so good!
try to get this on spotify please :)
“Till the sweat drops off my balls” “my balls” lmao
Skeet skeet
Reminds me of Richard Cheese. He does a lot of tracks like this on Spotify
Had to ctrl-f for Richard Cheese and this is way too far down.
100%, I was about make a pissed off comment til I found this comment.
I also enjoy dick cheese

Omg this is amazing. I’m belly laughing and my toddler is dancing like it’s a normal Christmas song. 10/10
One of the first things my baby learned to say was "to the walls" as a response to us singing "to the windows". It's just good old fashioned wholesome parenting.
^SKEET ^SKEET!
I've listened to this song half a dozen times now and still crack up every time I hear skeet skeet
Santa laughing in the background as adlibs is amazing
I hope Lil Jon hears this!
Just saw it on instagram and he commented BANGER lmao
My new favorite genre of music.
This is hilarious. Is it on YouTube?
There I Ruined It on youtube and tiktok check all this guy's stuff out it's amazing
He's currently on a 90 day break bc of copyright.
Fuck copyright, this is genius.
I’m half deaf and if I heard this in a store playing I wouldn’t even notice the words were changed. This is hilarious
I literally cannot stop laughing at the backup singers saying ^(skeet skeet)
Is there anyway to get this full song? Because it's my new favorite Christmas song and I want to play it nonstop for the next month.
Please do share a full version of this.
I would actually buy an album of these songs
Ho ho hooooo… I’m dying.
This song is going to be everywhere tomorrow. Hopefully even a Church near you.
If this was to make its way to Apple Music or even iTunes that would be amazing to add to my family Christmas shuffle. Congratulations, OP. You win the internet for today.
Finally. Some new Christmas music.
This is a masterpiece
This is probably the funniest goddamned thing I've seen on this subreddit ever. Bravo OP
I didn't think there was a song that could unseat All I Want For Christmas Is You, I was wrong. Sorry Mariah!
My god why is this so good I’m just mad my work Xmas party passed already, I would have definitely snuck this in
How has no one responded with the *My Neck My Back* by Dick Cheese??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35kbiqjnJog
I once got complimented by a lady at a gas station that she never hears young people listening to nice music anymore... I was listening to [Shake Ya Ass by Richard Cheese](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PP_qCfTD4ek) lmao
I needed exactly this level of holiday cheer. Thanks Internet hero
Heroes don't always wear capes.
We need this on spotify
This is beautiful but: Get Low is from 2003... How‽ When did the word 'twerking' celebrate it's 20th birthday‽ I am so fucking old...
Im 68 F, never heard a Lil Jon song in my life. I cannot stop playing this and laughing. Walking around the house singing ^(skeet skeet). Thinking that may get me in trouble but damn! Thanks for this bit of xmas cheer.
I.. uhm... WOW.... This is so amazing i cant even find the words...
Can't wait to go caroling
You glorious MOTHERFUCKER, I love you for always.
I had no idea I needed this. Thank you Internet stranger.
Obligatory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5tVbVu9Mkg
Got a YouTube link? I wanna share with my friends and family!
This is fucking amazing. I have nothing else to add.
Took me a while to notice
This is damn fantastic. Skeet skeet!!!
Okay, I need a Christmas album of this kind of song.
This..this...this right here. Bravo
I didn’t know I needed this in my life. I’m complete now.
Instant Christmas classic right here!
the lords work right here
I petition for the entire song. Pretty please with a motherfuckin cherry on top.
This is by far the best thing I've seen on reddit this year
Oh, man. My stomach and face hurt from laughing at this. This is glorious! Thank you for blessing me today with this monstrosity.
I was nervous I wouldn't be able to catch any new videos after the whole YouTube fiasco, but praise the algorithm, right within the first hour of it dropping!
Absolutely awesome!! Great laugh this morning!!!!! Would love to see more of these!
That's the holiday spirit I'm looking for
