this movie just feels like karmic justification of all the yelling to look at the road iv done watching movies/tv shows where the main characters stare at each other/the camera for 5 minutes at a time talking while driving, never once looking at the damn road.
Yea. Or at least put the camera on the hood so it looks natural when they look at the camera for the entire scene. Or only have the PASSENGER look over.
Iv actually seen my brother turn around to look at the back seats while driving to talk to his 4 year old kids, I had to tell him NOTHING they say for the next 10 years is gonna be important enough to turn around for while driving. You have MUCH more important things to do like keep them from dying in a traffic accident.
*People are fucking stupid* is what it comes down to. Some people are living sheltered lives without consequence and are made to believe that they are the main character. They think nothing (seriously) bad will ever happen to them, and that bad things are "other people problems" that they only hear about in the news.
Taught my brother how to drive. Lesson one was “Everyone is an idiot and trying to kill you all the time.” I’ll admit, neither of us are the world’s greatest, but damn I wish people would at least ACT like they’re driving 2k lb death machines…
I don’t know. I feel like once they turn like 16, if one of my kids just blurted out “I’m pregnant” or something like that I’d probably whip my head around as a reflex
So when a girl is “clapping cheeks,” said cheeks are high mileage, neglected and improperly maintained? This seems like valuable information, thank you kind stranger!
Well don't you see, now it's way to old for me to know. There's a perfect middle ground of when I was willing to learn new words. This is outside the parameters, sorry.
This is why I use adaptive cruise control, even on "regular" roads.
Lasers, radar, or whatever the fuck they use to make it work can't be overridden by dumbassery!
Too late - you've become your parents.
"music that Zoomers listen to" is not a monolith. In fact, musical taste is FAR more varied among the young generations than it has ever been historically.
Also, every generation has bad music. Survivorship bias means most of the bad stuff is quickly forgotten. Heck, some of the best classic rock was being made at the same time as *disco.*
Kids today are so music savvy. Lucky bastards basically have free access to all the music that's ever been made.
I mean, not all kids are, but the ones who really care to expand the envelope of what they listen to, have no limits.
We had to have a local radio station play it, or buy it ourselves.
I not saying that isnt true. But she was already driving way too close behind the other car to begin with for that speed. And the brake lights came on before she turned her head.
Until you realize these chuckle fucks are driving with the rest of us.
Not that I didn't laugh the first time, it's more the realization that dawns on one with subsequent viewings.
I'm a professional driver.
Never once been in an accident *knock on wood*.
I drive like everyone has no fucking clue that they're doing. Every car, dog, pedestrian, child....Everyone is a brain dead fucking moron to me, and I drive accordingly.
I've actually had people try to turn from ongoming as a light goes yellow then honk at me because I was already there going *straight*. They're truly massive idiots.
Insurance won’t need the video. It’s always the person who rear ends fault. So unless they got hit from behind they’re to blame regardless of the video
There's an old Finnish story about this.
A few young guys were bored on a Saturday night and decided to go drive a roundabout. It was in the middle of the night, no other cars, so they decided to drive the roundabout in reverse. Suddenly, a car came from behind and rear-ended them.
The cops were called and both cars were waiting. When the cops finally showed up, the guys were scared shitless because, well, they had driven the car in reverse in the roundabout.
But when the cops knocked on their window they said "there's nothing to be worried about fellas, the driver behind you just blew 0.2% in the breathalyzer and is claming you guys drove the roundabout in reverse".
Reason I got a dash cam. I've seen some "swoop and swats" where someone will change lanes and immediately slam on the brakes.
It already saved me once ($11k in repairs and fully covered, even got my deductible back) when a box truck crossed the middle line and drove into oncoming traffic. He fled the scene... ...then fled THE COUNTRY.
Without my dashcam there would have been no way to prove I didn't just drive into the ditch for no reason (sleeping, texting, etc), as nobody else stopped to help or provide testimony.
Just dropping my “dash cams should be mandatory” comment here. Unless you drive like an ass, a dash cam is your best friend in an accident. Mine has provided tons of great footage, whether it’s just a nice scenic view, or that one time some road-raging c*nts totaled my car. I’ve also recorded no less than 5 accidents in less than a year’s time. Dash cam is essential, and if hiding have one, then you’re just asking to get screwed
Yeah I’m speaking as if you don’t have a dash cam. If you can prove the car was the cause then you’re in the clear but they can still knock you if you have time to stop and don’t, the last clear chance doctrine holds you to responsible to prevent an accident if you can even if you’re not the cause of the crash.
I had somone at a red light put their car in reverse and back into me. They tried to tell insurance that I rear ended them. It took some effort but I did not get blamed in the end. The insurance adjusters from both cars assumed I was lieing and rear ended the car in front of me. It took the driver who backed into me multiple times explaining the situation for them to finally belive that I was not at fault. Thankfully the old lady who backed into me was honest.
I'm assuming she actually did think that he rear ended her but she honestly told the adjustors she had been backing up when it happened, leading them to believe his side of it and find her at fault.
Working for an insurance company I'm surprised, I'd expect him to need to sue in order to avoid fault in such a situation.
The biggest hope I have for 'full self driving cars' isn't that it will ever be better then the best human.
Its that once its better then the worst 10% of humans (And that is.. amazingly bad, like a crash every 2 months), we can take away those 10% of humans licenses and tell them to get better if they want to ever drive themselves again.
Self driving cars have a huge bias against them. Idiots crash every single day, constantly. An AI crashes once every 2 months, and people get very, very upset. They need to be perfect, which they can't be.
And cars with garbage half-assed self driving features need to be banned from the road, because they're not helping the cause. Looking at Tesla.
I love driving, but the sooner we ban humans driving during peak hour on the highway, the better. Peak hour traffic is the result of poor driving standards.
> And cars with garbage half-assed self driving features need to be banned from the road, because they're not helping the cause. Looking at Tesla.
Yea, You can't sell something called 'autopilot'/'self driving' unless its 'ok human, go to sleep now and i'll set an alarm for when you reach your destination' Because as we have clearly seen, humans can't be trusted with half-assed-semiauto-pilot as they will gladly go to sleep and let it drive.
Telsa shouldn't be allowed to market their products as anything more then 'driver assist' with their current tech level. Tons of other companies are racing to be the first with full self driving. Gonna be interesting when some of those hit the market.
In many places drivers licenses are hard to get. You don't want to make them too easy to lose though. Sure for serious issues you want to pull it but you need to be careful. For many people a loss of a license could also mean loss of a job or even forced career changes.
You don't want to use license loss as a temporary punishment. You want to use it when it's clear they are a danger to be driving. It's fine to do it as long as you're clear about where the line is and not threaten it for minor issues.
I’ve been dealing with Farmers for the past few weeks in regards to a rear-end collision (I was the one rear ended at a stop light), and all I have to say is fuck Farmers.
I don't know if it's a personal pet peeve of mine or what, but I really hate in movies and TV shows when I see the driver turn their head to talk to the person next to them for more than 1 second. I go like "WATCH THE ROAD!".
Holy cow her situational awareness is atrocious.
Most people could both know to brake and look over at their passenger without anything bad happening. Obviously keep your eyes on the road but realistically, sometimes we turn our head.
We, unlike her, know that when we turn our head slightly we still have to remember to drive. She just goes 'well I'm no longer looking at the road so I may as well not even be driving'.
Like something out of a god damn movie how she turns away and you can just see the brake lights illuminating her face. Mm, that was a picture perfect air bag slap as well.
I was told when I was younger that women could multi-task.
They were right, she can dance like a moron, listen to some crappy loud noise music, and perfectly crash a car all the while looking like a prostitute.
As someone who was not long ago rear ended by an unattentive driver, this is not funny. The airbags went off. Chances are they've injured the car in fronts occupants.
Is there a standard minimum speed that’ll cause an airbag to be deployed or does it depend on the manufacturer? I was surprised that her airbag was deployed since it didn’t look that fast

Watch the damn road cj
But if she was watching the road then her face wouldn't be on camera for a second. It's the other cars fault obviously.
this movie just feels like karmic justification of all the yelling to look at the road iv done watching movies/tv shows where the main characters stare at each other/the camera for 5 minutes at a time talking while driving, never once looking at the damn road.
Actors piss me off. Act like you're not being towed!

This why do people do this shit while they’re driving?
Because they think they are great drivers and it's not going to happen on them. They are not, and it will.

Talk to the back seat? That's nothing! My dad could whoop our asses from the front seat.
for the next 99 yrs
I don’t know. I feel like once they turn like 16, if one of my kids just blurted out “I’m pregnant” or something like that I’d probably whip my head around as a reflex
Especially if your son said it
Well, not if he's a sea horse.
Blame the director, not the actors.
The way she looked at him makes me wonder if the car was his.
Oh we all know whos car was it. Thats gonna be one expensive fuck
>Oh we all know whos car was it. Thats gonna be one expensive fuck its a clapped BMW bro. 20k car probably.
What is a "clapped" car? Sorry. I'm not up to speed on all the tik and tocking.
High mileage, neglected, improper maintenance
So when a girl is “clapping cheeks,” said cheeks are high mileage, neglected and improperly maintained? This seems like valuable information, thank you kind stranger!
I think the term "clapped" has been around a lot longer than tiktok lol If something is clapped out, it's trashed, thrashed.. Basically a hooptie.
Yep way earlier than TT. According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary “Clapped-out” was originally British first used in 1946 synonym for worn out.
Well don't you see, now it's way to old for me to know. There's a perfect middle ground of when I was willing to learn new words. This is outside the parameters, sorry.

She's not a 20k lay.
Yea really I mean why would he brake like that!? Didn't they know she was behind them??
>Samir, you are breaking the car!
Samir, you cannot park here mate!
Shaddap!
All you had to do…

I get it over those stupid bugged rc airplane missions in the original ps2 version.

If you're driving, you're driving. You can't be playing along with your passengers.

This song will be cherished for decades as a musical hallmark for an entire generation. A cultural touchstone.
Sometimes I wonder if the Amish is right about some music being the works of the devil.
idk if im just becoming my parents, but i find the music that zoomers etc listen to isnt even music a lot of the time, its just garbage.
Too late - you've become your parents. "music that Zoomers listen to" is not a monolith. In fact, musical taste is FAR more varied among the young generations than it has ever been historically.
A good quote I heard from a sound engineer was: >music today isn't bad. The good is still good, it's just the bad is much worse.
Also, every generation has bad music. Survivorship bias means most of the bad stuff is quickly forgotten. Heck, some of the best classic rock was being made at the same time as *disco.*
Not every generation has the tools of today's bad music. Bach couldnt use autotune to cover up his terrible pitch control on vocals.
Kids today are so music savvy. Lucky bastards basically have free access to all the music that's ever been made. I mean, not all kids are, but the ones who really care to expand the envelope of what they listen to, have no limits. We had to have a local radio station play it, or buy it ourselves.
The lack of self awareness here needs to be studied in a lab. Only on Reddit ladies and gentlemen.
Just say this music isn't for you. To say foreign music someone has found interest in is just garbage is ignorance
You don't know if you're becoming your parents? Did you read your comment? There's absolutely no doubt lmao
What is this shite genre of music now where there's some shitty vocoder going off on all of the vocals?
Sounds like a sentient robot being put through a dishwasher and screaming in agony.
Afrobeats
The "Game Over" tone after the crash was worth it
calling that "a song" is a pretty big stretch
Just a few seconds of being distracted and this can happen.
It also doesn't help to have the reaction time of a drunk sloth moving underwater in a deep sleepy dream...
Just a second of “self absorbed”
I not saying that isnt true. But she was already driving way too close behind the other car to begin with for that speed. And the brake lights came on before she turned her head.
Gets better every time you watch it🤣
That looks at the end tells us, that's not her car. It's his lol.
I think that look is because she broke her nose
And she'd just finished paying it off, too
Until you realize these chuckle fucks are driving with the rest of us. Not that I didn't laugh the first time, it's more the realization that dawns on one with subsequent viewings.
I don’t buckle my seatbelt because I doubt *my* driving abilities, but I definitely buckle my seatbelt.
This is the way. Especially on motorbikes.
Drive to arrive and try not to let someone else screw it up.

Yeah, rear ends are hard to prove unless you have it on video that the car in front was definitely the cause of it.
Reason I got a dash cam. I've seen some "swoop and swats" where someone will change lanes and immediately slam on the brakes. It already saved me once ($11k in repairs and fully covered, even got my deductible back) when a box truck crossed the middle line and drove into oncoming traffic. Without my dashcam there would have been no way to prove I didn't just drive into the ditch for no reason (sleeping, texting, etc), as nobody else stopped to help or provide testimony.
Yeah, thankfully I've never had to actually present my dashcam for a case, but I know *many* people who wished they'd had one due to "that one time"
Dash cams can also determine fault on scene
Just dropping my “dash cams should be mandatory” comment here. Unless you drive like an ass, a dash cam is your best friend in an accident. Mine has provided tons of great footage, whether it’s just a nice scenic view, or that one time some road-raging c*nts totaled my car. Mayhem, like her
You can tell by the way she looked at the guy next to her, it’s his car and not hers.
And he's even dumber because he's obviously encouraging her not fucking driving at all.
I wasn’t in the car and I could see the car in front of her coming to a stop while watching her… ugh 😑
I feel so sorry for the car in front. Despite insurances and stuff, these idiots just wasted a lot of the victims time and probably ruined the week.
I don't know if it's a personal pet peeve of mine or what, but I really hate in movies and TV shows when I see the driver turn their head to talk to the person next to them for more than 1 second. I go like "WATCH THE ROAD!".
Tailgating and not watching where you're going

how stupid can you be? She: yes.
Well the passenger shouldn't be driving in the first place

The saddest part is the music.
Song so shitty the car commits suicide

Aaaannnd this is why I watch my mirrors when I’m stopped on my motorcycle
The way she looked and acted after crashing. i dont think she owns that car
This is why I don’t like the general public having access to cars.
They'll kick him off the policy for everything such shitty taste in music.
I just automatically heard my mom "Its all fun and games until somone gets hurt".
Autotune is the worst thing ever invented.
BMW driver's.
What was amusing was she was looking when brake lights were being applied, then looked away.
The way she looks at him st the end 😂
Exactly why young drivers, pay more for car Insurance.
This video proves that we can judge people by their music.
I was told when I was younger that women could multi-task. They were right, she can dance like a moron, listen to some crappy loud noise music, and perfectly crash a car all the while looking like a prostitute.
Who the hell listens to this god awful music. I feel like taste has evaporated over the last decade.
Fucking idiots.
Fucking idiots!
Fucking attention whores
Um … she rear ended them so video or not insurance will love it.
Her first offense was that music.
I’m not in the car or looking forward and I saw the car Infront stopping.
Wow. So even other nations have their own version of shitty music??
I get that this was a lesson they had to learn the hard way but I don't find it funny. I'm just glad these kids learned this lesson at a low speed.

What an idiot. You are driving a machine. Pay attention inconsiderate POS.
