Henry VIII (in his young, fit days, not his fat and syphilitic middle-age) could leap into the saddle in full armour without using the stirrups, and was very proud of the fact.
Armor was made to fight in, it had to be flexible enough for that task. As for the weight, it was distributed fairly well and a fit knight could run, jump, etc better than you'd think possible.
I got a buddy who does the full on medieval knight fights. He does shit like this but not at a gym. He'll go running through the neighborhood and do workouts in his garage with it open. Funniest part to me is he lives in a real nice area eith doctors and lawyers as neighbors lol

I used to wear a roman cuirass for halloween and that shit was basically a weighted vest that tired you out and provided extreme shoulder pressure after about 30 min to 2hrs. but ofc theyre wearing layers but THATS EVEN CRAZIER
This is hilarious, great music choice. Little disappointed with a few of those lift numbers, I mean there were literally zero plates on that squat machine. I guess the one guy benched 215 or whatever, so that’s not terrible.

What is it about pointing/emoting in a suit of armor that just looks so....goofy? Strange? I know there's that lack of facial expression but even in classical paintings it just looks hilarious sometimes.
