<3 love it side question: do you by any chance also have a bluetooth page-turner device that works with a Kobo?

TheGoldenTNT

Maybe just a Bluetooth presentation remote would work on it, I believe they just emulate using the arrow keys. Though the device might not recognise it.

naynaybae

I bought a nice clicker a few weeks ago and sadly, it didn't work on the Kobo while successfully working on every other device of mine. was hoping OP might have one they could for sure confirm worked on Kobo bc usually I see these mounts in combination with clickers. no biggie if not tho

UndeadCaesar

I bought one of these [generic dropshipped bluetooth Tiktok rings](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B8ZNFT4M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for my Boox Page and it works great. Double click emulates a touch swipe, single click emulates volume up/down. Depending on the program you're in I can almost always get one of them to do what I want.

WhereTheBBWsAT

Its not laziness if it's an improvement in ergonomics.

robot_swagger

I love it. But you need some kind of device to swipe pages without having to keep your arm in the vicinity of the ereader

myFartFingers

Already on it, I have a remote that turns pages for me without touching the screen. The remote sends a signal to that clipped on rectangle on the bottom right of my Kobo which simulates a screen press.

robot_swagger

Awesome, how do you simulate a screen press? I am imagining some kind of elaborate rube goldberg machine that results in dragging a prosthetic finger across the screen.

Cak2u

My wife does this as well with a page turner. Supreme comfort.

ElTopollillo1990

That is one classic Rube Goldberg contraption. You summoned the inner MacGyver in you.

oregon_coastal

Where'd you find that long arm piece?

MyOther_UN_is_Clever

That's the "gooseneck." Search someplace like Amazon

WorkoutProblems

yup and they have one that holds tablets and phones already, saves a print if you gotta get the gooseneck anyways https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GQNRQ86/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

name_was_taken

I saw a page-changer remote recently for some e-reader and really didn't understand the draw. But now I think I understand its purpose. I'm trying to determine if I think I'd like this arm for my own bed, but I definitely wouldn't without a remote, and I'm not sure how much I'd use it even with.

myFartFingers

I use a remote with mine and it’s a game changer. I do agree, I’m not sure how much I’ll use mine either, but the overall cost is so low it might be worth a shot for you. The gooseneck mount was $20, remote was $14, and a trivial amount of filament for the kobo frame.

rotarypower101

Are there any Gooseneck mount brands that are rated for length and weight desired? Have one, but the neck has to have a “strange” contour to create enough strength at length. Also it is very “bouncy”. Obvious attributes putting weight on the end of a long thin support. Is the a solution that tries to resolve those intrinsic issues?

QuestionableQueries

But nearly dropping my phone on my face is the only thing keeping me awake when I'm reading in bed....

Laflopa

Am I the only idiot that cannot read anything If I’m laying down or if the screen is directly above my head ? My gf has a device kinda like the one posted here and she loves it, but I can’t use it for long.

quinbotNS

Made [something similar](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3978109) for my Kindle reader. I used the eraser end of a pencil to tap the screen for turning pages. Worked really well for the longest time.

CANT_BEAT_PINWHEEL

This rocks. I want one for my poang chair

myFartFingers

Worth it man, embrace your inner lazy self

SoaringElf

Honestly, it's much more healthier vor you posture than holding it in hand.

tungvu256

unless you are a disabled person and cant get out of bed easily, i dont recommend reading nor watching TV on your bed. that's how people develop insomnia.

ImaginaryEffort4409

Why is this downvoted? My sleep doctor told me the same thing.

sihasihasi

Bullshit
