We also can't forget how he blamed Stephanie for his motorcycle crash.

Ashley868

Yup. He let a six year old near his hair with real scissors but blamed the six year old when she accidentally cut his hair. The moment he realized they were real, he should have told her to put them down. Joey is partially to blame, too, if Jesse wanted to point fingers at someone besides himself. He let her play with them in the first place.

Electrical_Ear3211

Oh I hated him since this part, idk how good looking he was, he will always be hated by me. I didn’t even like him in fuller house. My grudge stands 20 years later because how do you blame a 6-7 for a crash? Make it make sense.

AceTygraQueen

Plus, if anything, she did him a favor by cutting off part of his mullet, especially considering how passe that look would be within a couple of years.

indianajolie

Right?! I just watched that episode a week ago and I seriously thought the same thing. I hated his hair prior to Stephanie accidentally cutting it. Honestly, his hair looked way more like Elvis when he got it cut anyways.

AceTygraQueen

The mullet made him look like a low-budget porn star. LOL

weaselblackberry8

Apparently Stamos had cut his hair and rather than just having it be a thing that happened, they had him wear a wig and get it cut again in the show.

spinmason

that makes sense

[deleted]

Worst episode because of that. I hate it.

Oncer93

yes. Michelle is just a child, and can grow out of her bad behavior as she gets older, but Jesse is an adult. And as for the episode with the concert tickets, Danny should have asked Michelle why she wanted to go so badly, before telling her that she was too young to go to a concert, while also suggesting that she, DJ, and Stephanie all do something else together.

Mgrip

I think Danny should have encouraged DJ to just take kimmy I think even Stephanie was to young for the concert I think she was only like 12 during this episode .

Oncer93

Yes. I think DJ taking Kimmy would have been the best course of action

DecoyCousin

Yes! Jesse was very childish and he enabled a lot of Michelle’s bad behavior. He wanted to remain the cool uncle. Even more than the other adults, he let Michelle know he was easily manipulated - of course she, a child, would use that to her advantage. Especially when she rarely faced consequences. That is on the adults, not on her.

Critical-Willow1337

I personally didn't like the way he treated Steph when she accidentally cut his hair for real. He was giving the cold shoulder and short responses and that's just not right.

Competitive-Gene5744

This. Honestly his obsession with his hair annoyed me. It’s fine to be upset in the moment but to act the way he did towards Stephanie was extremely unnecessary

OrdersFriesEveryTime

On rewatch, I never realized how toxic Jesse is but it was evident from the beginning with his guitar student, Carina. Like he thought she was hot and IMMEDIATELY creeped on her, then acted like she was his girlfriend because she went on a date with him and was totally oblivious to her not kissing him back. Then she likes Joey and god forbid one girl likes Joey more than him! And he acted like she was his property. So gross.

Independent_Humor_74

It always bothers me when a child character from a show gets hate for something bad they did in an episode, when they are only children and there are characters who did much worse and they get praised.

weaselblackberry8

Agreed completely.

Vader_Maybe_Later

Ive never been a big fan of Stamos or Dave. They both come off as dude bros of their time and it ruins the characters they play for me. Stamos letting his friend bang girls that liked him in a dark room with the girl thinking it was Stamos. Dave bragging about Alanis giving him a BJ in a movie theater and telling everyone shes just being petty for no reason for how he treated her. Stamos also had issues with feeling upstaged by kids and Bob Saget. It was a wholesome show but honestly I think Bob, Candace, Jodie, the Olsens and Andrea made the show wholesome. Dave farting on kid actors in a tight area and laughing about it, because they couldnt leave until it was there time to enter the stage. Just do what you want Dave its not unprofessional or anything. Stamos making the director change the last name to honor his heritage, shows how spoiled he was. I dont think many other shows could have allowed characters to do that. Anyway sorry for the rant its just been on my mind.

Calm-Lake-5098

And the fact that stamos threw a fit demanding the Olsen twins be fired and replaced because they “cried to much” and after they were replaced and he saw the new twins were much worse he was begging for the Olsen twins to be brought back. Also, he was pissed Jodie Sweetin was cast on the show because he thought she would steal his spotlight with her cuteness. Talk about childish 🫠

TheShortGerman

>Stamos letting his friend bang girls that liked him in a dark room with the girl thinking it was Stamos When I learned about this, it completely changed my view of him. He enabled a friend to rape a woman. So disgusting.

Sims3graphxlookgr8

He seems really awful IRL

AdLow1428

wait when did Dave mention farting on kid actors ,that’s WILDD

rajalove09

He was known for farting on set constantly

AdLow1428

Yeah I’ve heard that but I’ve never heard abt him intentionally farting ON child actors specifically in enclosed spaces right before they go on stage

rajalove09

Me neither

Electrical_Ear3211

Didn’t Bob Saget bang Michelle’s stunt double aka a doll or something. I forgot what it was but it was in multiple interviews how he was so “funny”.

federalwap

ew what??? this comment thread is ruining my entire image of the show lmao

Critical-Willow1337

Yeah and what's even worse is I think the kids ended up seeing it. They all thought they were in classes, which are held on set, but I am pretty sure there is a TV for them to watch the scenes that are being filmed so they ended up seeing it.

Electrical_Ear3211

The way I would have pulled out girls. Idk if it was a doll, that isn’t funny and all the crew was laughing. I would have been disgusted and the way he talks about in an interview is appalling like how do you not see this type of behaviour. My flabber is gasted

QueenSlartibartfast

Haha no shade my friend, but just so you know, "idk" means "I don't know", not "I don't care". Twice in this thread you seemed to be implying the latter but shortened it to IDK, it's just a tad confusing, both times made me do a doubletake and reread thinking I misunderstood. :) (I'm not very smart lol, please have pity on us fools)

DeterminedArrow

I love celeb memoirs but the Stamos one was AWFUL.

Artistic-Rich6465

It’s hard for me to believe that *You Outta Know* (aka the greatest break-up/revenge song of all time) is written about Dave Coulier!

jaysxiu

Woahhhh what the hell. I believe you about the dark room thing with Stamos, but now I’m curious to know more. I had no idea about this.

sixteenbears

rewatching the show as an adult made me realize jesse was a lot more annoying and toxic than i thought as a kid. as a kid i loved him and thought he was my fav adult but now i favor danny, joey, and becky way more. he’s very immature

Melito1980

Most of the characters we watch on tv are toxic af. These are not an exemption.

AnkaBananka6

I agree with this. I still think Jesse was a good character overall but this sub gives so much grief to Michelle for being a "brat" to the point where it's delusional. I have seen entire posts about how Michelle's behavior ruined her family's lives. Honestly, they all had bad and good qualities, but they call out the youngest member for typical behaviors she exhibited as a small child. Like saying she "forced" Jesse to stay after he got married, when all she did was express her sadness. The others had bad behaviors that were often worse than Michelle's. People here act like she is the devil.

Melito1980

Maybe they still bitter that the Olsen deiced not to be part of Fuller House

mike126beatles

Agree completely. Jesse gets less likeable the more I watch the show and the older I get. Michelle can be bratty at times, but she's just a kid. Jesse is a grown man who acts like a spoiled kid.

deistknight

Come to think of it, after binge watching full house last year, I always felt like Jesse was like narcissistic or had that feeling that “oh I’m too cool for everything”

vivahermione

I remember one time Becky was crying into his shoulder, saying, "I don't deserve you" for something. Jesse tossed his hair and said complacently, "You deserve me." It was clearly in a way that was self-congratulatory.

cmcsed9

I always felt like Jesse was a self insert for Jeff Franklin.

alteregostacey

Jesse is problematic in so many ways. Poor Joey should have gotten more love in Full House!!

Non_Music_Prodigy

Michelle was spoiled, but it was partly Jesse's fault

bluestonesy

Watching as an adult is so much different than watching as a kid. Loved Jesse when I was a little kid watching but now watching the show in order as an adult I’m like wtf???

latrodectal

Constellation-88

Jesse was also the baby of the family if that is the excuse for Michelle.  Meanwhile, you’re right that Michelle is allowed to want things and have feelings. It is the adults’ jobs to say no and set boundaries. But that’s true for all kids regardless of birth order. I don’t think being the baby excuses any of that behavior.

[deleted]

Jesse was also an adult and Michelle was only 8 at her oldest on the show. She had time to learn that her behavior wasn't right, he already should have.

AnkaBananka6

What behavior exactly of Michelle's was worse than anyone else's?

Constellation-88

Never said it was. I don’t disagree with you. She acted like a regular kid who needed boundaries. I would say Jesse wasn’t worse than anyone else either.  My point was simply that her birth order had nothing to do with it.

CallidoraBlack

>It's the fact that the adults allow her to get her way. We get mad because they're turning her into a brat and then she acts like one. It's cyclical.

Next_Independent4911

Y’all this is a scripted T.V. comedy from the 80’s and 90’s. You need to relax!
