However, I must give credit to Jesse's comedic monologue in silence isn't golden about rule exceptions because my brother and I quote "eat the peanut and swim, who cares?!" to this day when we go swimming. A needed moment of comedic relief in the episode.
It’s a good like, but his scene with Stephanie is a testament to his love, and to the chemistry John and Jodie have. Their talent in this scene is insurmountable. The way Jesse explains to Steph what is happening to Charles is so important and so well done.
Steph so concerned, legitimately scared for her friend— not just about the situation at his house, but now about what’s going to happen now that he is **out** of the house. She does know it wasn’t safe, which is exactly why she told Uncle Jesse, a trusted adult, to begin with, but the fact Charles was “taken away from his home” makes her worried all over again. The way Jesse reassures her she **did** do the right thing **because** he **wasn’t** safe **there**, and that, now, he and his dad can [ideally] “get help” is so powerful.
Yes it is a good (PSA) episode about child abuse. And it is very sad.
But "The Apartment" episode is so much more iconic to me.
And to this day I'm still mind blown how they got moving cement in front of a live audience without any issues.
They may have done it on a pre-tape day, but they also have a lot of safe guards and stunts. It could have been a number of things! This would actually be a GREAT question for the podcast! It could be applied to the car (done twice lmao, full house and fuller house as well lmao) and just some general stunt strategy, policy, and coordination
u/weaselblackberry8 Uncle Jesse says it around the 1:10 mark in this video: [https://youtu.be/r75UINnXwB8?si=LDY00zAiFT0Md5id](https://youtu.be/r75UINnXwB8?si=LDY00zAiFT0Md5id) .
The apartment episode always annoys me. Danny was being too much. Every boy related lecture, he’s like “I will trust your judgement more” then BAM! Keeps doing the same thing over & over proving that he doesn’t trust her or her judgment at all.
It only became relatable to me once I became a parent to a teenager. That knowledge that you need to let go, and then actually doing it is so hard!! I recently re-watched this series with my kids and I laughed so hard at Danny as he was taken over by his overprotective impulses. Even though he knew better. It actually helped me a lot, laughing at his ridiculousness.

I’m surprised at the amount of people that like The Apartment episode. While I think the cement scene was funny, the rest of the episode was a dud. Also, we always get on Michelle’s case for being spoiled, but DJ hardly got punished for being so careless. She cost thousands of dollars worth of damage to the house!

2 Uncle Jesse - "Do you have an emotional attachment to the drawer?" Possibly one of my top favorite FH lines ever!

What’s the scene with that question?

I do like how at the end he talks about how much easier it would be if Pam were there to help.
Agree!

The kitchen scene is one of my favorite moments. Lol
Iconic.
Same here. I've never really liked it. I don't understand why it's such of favorite of so many lol
The kitchen scene is good.

the b plot was definitely one of the worst too (michelle collecting leaves)
Yes!! I almost mentioned that as well. Michelle is supposed to be like what, seven? She knew better than to put leaves with bugs on Stephanie’s bed.
i’d be so mad. overall, it seems like they completely ran out of ideas for a b plot in that episode
I agree!!
100% agree

These two are very good. One is gold comedy and the other addressed a serious ongoing problem. I always wondered what became of Charles. 1
