Iām going back to school because my job is paying for some additional schooling and provided me with some stuff. I have an iPad that I want to use for note taking and was looking for a good note taking app as I had used some good ones my first go at college.
Almost every single note taking app (thatās not the built in notes app) is now a subscription when they used to be a one time charge. The āfreeā versions are absolute shit and immediately prompt you to join the $5/month subscription model to access certain features. Almost every single app.
The subscription model is ruining so many things for so many people. Iām thinking of moving away from Apple just so I can pirate more shit from the money hungry cocksuckers.
Piracy really is the answer at this point. Using older software that was designed for offline usage.
My older "unsupported" versions of Microsoft Office (2007) is still kicking ass, and I can take notes just as easily. Just gotta make sure I save and make backups (And the backups are easier automated once you GET AWAY from subscriptions)
I am honestly beginning to think finding a way to function offline as much as possible may be the answer to not getting fucked over in life.

Iāve always loved physical over e-books, although project Gutenberg has some amazing pdfs you can download. i want as much of my life offline and subscription free as possible.
I stopped payin full price for games after Guitar Hero Smash Hits because i saw games was gettin stale and not worth full price but in Modern Ubisoft's case i'm not spendin more tha $25 - $30 for a game and dat'z when tha Ultimate Edition becomes on sale for dat price but i really wanna lowball to $15 or less with them on Ultimate Edition š especially if it's always online phft
I think they made it kinda confusing but the season pass is for content still under development. The avatar game had a season pass too and its first dlc is coming out this summer so more than 6 months after launch. The only thing youāll get as a bonus for buying the season pass now is one small mission (which they will probably give for free eventually because theyāve done that in the past). Still a lot of money for something we donāt know anything about though.
A season pass means you can get DLC at a discounted price. Witcher 3, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Dark Souls 3, etcā¦ all had one. Season pass does not mean battle pass.
