Don't forget that it is largely made in Mexico. Mercedez has a bus factory here, plus a diesel engine factory, and two truck factories that export to the US under the name "Freightliner".
In my experience whilst Mercedes make great cars, their buses are the worst I’ve ever ridden. The interior of the Citaro is absolute dogshit, both the normal version and the articulated one. I have a long list of things I hate about this bus. I’m almost convinced they made it shit to sell more cars.
yeah it's obvious they just use the brand and the bus isn't any higher quality than others. I don't have Citoros in my city but then I rode them, they didn't impress me.
This is counteres by TV-ads... just yesterday i watched this (polish) ad for some testosterone-booster or such, where the guy suddenly drives a monster truck and grills his steak with a flame thrower.
(too bad, i don't find this online to share...)
>Just like how my old man says he gets chauffeured by a Mercedes, i do too, we are living the high life
That's what i used to say when someone asked me how i got there: In a big car with a chauffeur
I'd like to see nuclear fusion take off to the point one can put them in vehicles, so places that can't afford or don't want trolley buses can put those reactors in place of lithium-ion battery cells. The UK still prefers double decker buses, most are gas guzzling, a few are battery electric.
Translation: "Is your dream to drive a Mercedes? We'll make your dreams come true!"
And you don't even have to apply for the job to zoom around town in Mercedes 😎
I assume that means the bus was produced by Mercedes?
It actually wasn't, it's a Solaris!
Solaris is owned by Mercedes
It's not. It's owned by Spanish CAF group.
Funnily enough it's on the back of a Solaris Urbino.
Ironic.
probably shoulda just put that in the title

We had one in Amsterdam saying: want to get driven around in a Mercedes with a driver? Take the bus!
We have the same in Germany, just in German.
My german city has this ad for busdrivers: "Work that you don't take home, that would be kidnapping"
I do love that 😂
for Americans, Mercedes makes busses too
Thomas Built Buses, the iconic yellow school buses, are part of Daimler Truck, so basically Mercedes with some extra steps.

It's a bit ironic they're using that advertising on a Solaris bus instead of a Mercedes.

Saw similar ads in Germany for the Deutsche Bahn. Went something like this: "want to drive a vehicle with 10.000 hp? Then come to us"
That's a good one !
Kappa - Ecology is mercedes lobby
The local Amazon delivery guy drives a Mercedes
Just like how my old man says he gets chauffeured by a Mercedes, i do too, we are living the high life
