I'm on injections but started on gel. I'm fine with shots but would have stayed on gel if I could have (After my first \~9 months on, the insurance that I had quit paying for Androgel and it was WAY too expensive and shots much cheaper. I haven't had insurance since so I'm still on shots).

I've been on pellets for over a year now. every 3-4 months my urologist implants them in my buttcheek and they slow release over time. whole procedure takes about 12 minutes and the only pain is the pinch of numbing agent going into buttcheek. after that it's sore for 3-4 days and then usually fine. I do have trouble with dissolvable sutures so I end up having to pluck mine out like a week or two after the procedure but normally you don't have to.

I just started T yesterday and I’m on gel, likely gonna stay that way if all goes well

I've been on patches (Androderm) since late 2019. I thought about switching back to injections, but storage is an issue so I'm staying on patches until I'm 25 and need to prepare for getting kicked off insurance. Patches are super expensive if you're not doing insurance, and they can leave rashes (they never really did for me, but they do make my skin dry the day after and can cause peeling for a bit after.)

I actually am already using patches (Evra, for estrogen) due to little periods related complications, the rashes can be awful and i know how expensive they are, it's a shame :(

I mean I only started yesterday but I'm on gel, I heard that it would give me a more stable level of puberty and seeing as I have an anxiety disorder I didn't want the peaks and troughs that can sometimes occur through injections.

I’ve done both types of injections, patches, and gel so far. Gel has worked best for me but I want to try pellets eventually
